A must-try when visiting Qiandao Lake is the stovetop fish! This local husband-and-wife restaurant serves live fish freshly cooked to order. The ingredients are fresh 👏🏻 and the owner cooks it herself. It's truly one of the best stovetop fish I've ever had! The broth is milky white, so you drink the broth first and then the meat. The broth is truly fragrant. I drank three bowls! The fish head is incredibly tender, with no earthy smell. Even my friend, who doesn't like fish, devoured it! A hidden gem: try the fish broth with rice; it's so delicious! We also ordered some local specialties: scallion-flavored wild jellyfish, 🌽corn crispy pancakes, and their signature baked taro... They were all delicious.
