There are many hotels in the county; chain hotels are cleaner and more reliable. Transportation: If you can ride an electric scooter, rent one. It seems like electric scooters are the official mode of transportation in Pingtan (not really), especially during holidays when traffic is very congested. (Small tip: Don't rent electric scooters near Longwangtou Beach. Go further out; it'll be much cheaper. For example, there are many places to rent electric scooters above the Tanshi Fried Buns shop on Xihang Road, much cheaper than below.) What to Eat: Hongxing Seafood Stall (seafood is selected on the spot, very fresh; highly recommend the stir-fried crab with scallions and ginger 🦀, very sweet and delicious), Maoji Seafood Claypot Porridge (okay), Abu'er Taiwanese Stir-fry (three-cup chicken 🐔 was good, but a bit salty; I don't remember much about the other dishes). Unfortunately, I didn't get to try Feipo Feizai Seafood Stall (too many people queuing). The local passion fruit was delicious and sweet; I bought a lot to bring back from Chengdu.

We arrived in Pingtan around 6 PM. Dinner was at Dali Mingji Seafood Chicken Soup Hot Pot. The chicken was very tender and the soup was delicious. That was about it. If you're going, you can order the set meal with more chicken! (No photos, just a casual look, haha). The next day, you can probably tell from the pictures that we didn't sleep in the car 🚗. We opted for a hotel to freshen up and sleep—so comfortable, haha! The hotel's price and environment definitely met our expectations for value! I highly recommend this hotel. We originally booked a double room, but because the door lock wouldn't engage, we contacted the front desk and they upgraded us to a twin room with a sea view. The room was much larger and had a sea view. The room was quite new, recently renovated, and still at the original price! Very worthwhile! 🏨See the last picture! For breakfast, we ordered Han's Fried Buns (the fried buns and tofu soup were delicious!). After getting up, we went to Mao Ji Seafood Claypot Porridge for lunch! Delicious! Upon entering the shop, you first choose your congee, then you can select some Cantonese dim sum near the counter before paying and waiting for your meal. The food takes a bit long to arrive, but the prices are reasonable. The weather in Pingtan has been quite nice lately, with plenty of sunshine, though it's also cloudy, making it feel a bit overcast. However, this doesn't detract from the beauty of the sea changing colors. The wind is incredibly strong, so anyone visiting recently should definitely wear a hat or a hooded jacket! I highly recommend a road trip in Pingtan. Although many online guides mention numerous attractions, we only visited the northern route. It seems like you can reach all of them along the most beautiful island ring road. I highly recommend Jingsha Beach; it's great for taking photos. We didn't go to the southern route because we figured the seaside would be similar to the northern route, and also because the wind was too strong! So we decided to head to Quanzhou next!
