The food tastes great, the boss is also very nice, the environment is clean and tidy, and you can eat Pingnan local specialties for about 35 yuan per person. I have eaten here twice and it is really good. Next time if there are guests from other places, I will still invite them to dine here. It&#39;s great! Last time the guests were there, I didn&#39;t take pictures. Next time I dine, I will definitely take more pictures.

🚶♀️2-Day, 1-Night Itinerary:
Day 1:
Depart from Fuzhou in the morning for a 2-hour drive to Pingnan County.
For lunch, head straight to 📍No. 1 Old House (56, Lane 3, Xinjian Lane). This converted restaurant is highly recommended! The local cuisine is incredibly authentic and the prices are very affordable. For just 40 RMB per person, you&#39;ll be satisfied. (P.S.: The eel stew and potato pancakes are a must!)

In the afternoon, head to 📍Longtan Ancient Town (north of my compound in Xiling Township). This ancient town, hidden in the mountains, retains a complete collection of Ming and Qing dynasty architecture. Cobblestone paths, old houses, and flowing water&mdash;every photo is a classic retro masterpiece! 📸 I recommend visiting in the evening for the stunning light and shadows.

Tonight, stay at the charming 📍Longtanli Bird&#39;s Nest B&amp;B (No. 19, Longtan Village, Xiling Township). The wooden rooms are incredibly cozy, and our creek-facing room was perfect for falling asleep to the sound of the water. The B&amp;B owner is incredibly friendly and will recommend nearby attractions and restaurants.

Day 2:
After breakfast, explore 📍Gantou Village. Similar in style to Longtan Ancient Town, but much quieter.

I highly recommend 📍Siping Village! This hidden gem is a true favorite of mine. Be sure to check out 📍Xiaoran French Bakery (remember to bring a fan; it can get a bit warm without air conditioning). Their croissants and baguettes are incredibly authentic, perfect as souvenirs!

❗️Practical Tips:
1️⃣ These villages are all close together, so driving is recommended for the most convenient experience.
2️⃣ Make sure to book your B&amp;B in advance! They&#39;re especially popular on weekends.
3️⃣ Bring mosquito repellent and sunscreen, as mosquitoes are common in the mountains.
4️⃣ The Siping Village bakery has the widest selection after 3 PM.

I fell in love with the slow-paced ancient town life this trip to Pingnan and am already planning a second visit!

This restaurant mainly serves Pingnan local dishes. It has all Pingnan specialties. The main flavors are authentic and the price is affordable. Friends who come to Pingnan are worth a try.
