We walked into Panzhou just to have lunch. It was lunch time when we got out of the yurt in Wumeng Prairie and onto the highway. The nearest city on the navigation was Panzhou. Looking at the recommendations on the review platform, we decided on a small restaurant with good reviews - Daqiao Glutinous Rice. It was indeed a small restaurant, with only four small square tables for four people. A partition was nailed opposite and two or three people could sit. There was a menu on the wall, and the layout was very similar to that of an old restaurant in Guangzhou. Daqiao Glutinous Rice mainly features glutinous rice and sauerkraut noodles (sauerkraut is lard residue). The glutinous rice is chewy and has a layer of diced meat on the surface. There is not much soup, but it is fragrant and delicious; the sauerkraut noodles are dry mixed, probably with lard added, which is fragrant but not greasy. For people who are just hungry, it is simply unbearable and they finish it in a few bites; the soup noodles are just average, I don’t feel anything special, but of course it is not bad; I added a portion of braised pork skin and was amazed. As a senior Guangzhou person, I have never eaten pork skin that is so exquisite. I wish I could add WeChat and let the boss express it to me in the future... The recipe of the small shop is very simple.
