It's autumn season again, and Nanxiong's ginkgo trees are turning golden! Save this 2-day, 1-night guide to a family-friendly getaway. Staying in the city center means you're within walking distance of the ginkgo forest, making it super convenient for dining, lodging, and sightseeing. 🚗 Itinerary: Day 1: Check in at Qianmei International Hotel → Maozifeng Forest Park → Dinner at Guangfuju Restaurant I didn't expect such a great hotel in downtown Nanxiong! Qianmei International Hotel is located in the main city, just a 10-minute walk from Zhuji Ancient Alley. I highly recommend choosing a room with floor-to-ceiling windows so you can enjoy the autumn colors from bed. The large parking lot is perfect for self-drive trips, and the front desk lady is super nice and helpful with itinerary planning. In the afternoon, head straight to Maozifeng Forest Park, a 40-minute drive away. It's recommended to enter the park before 3:00 PM. Prime photo time is from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM, when the sunlight filtering through the ginkgo leaves is truly stunning! Remember to wear light-colored clothing for stunning photos. The 50-yuan ticket allows for an entire afternoon of exploring, and there's even a small train ride within the forest park. Dinner at Guangfuju Restaurant is a must! Located on the third floor of the Qianmei International Hotel, the must-try Nanxiong Three Treasures (stuffed tofu, braised pork with preserved vegetables, and braised bamboo shoots) are all you can eat for 60 yuan per person. DAY 2: Zhuji Ancient Alley → Return Wake up early and head to the hotel restaurant for a buffet breakfast. There's a wide variety, including freshly made soup noodles. It's only a 10-minute walk to Zhuji Ancient Alley. The bluestone pavement and the ancient houses create a charming atmosphere. Be sure to pick up some ginkgo nuts as souvenirs! 🍁Practical Tips: 1. Mid-to-late November is the best time to see ginkgo trees, but it can be quite crowded. 2. The temperature at Maozifeng Forest Farm varies greatly from morning to night, so bring a jacket. 3. Guangfuju is so popular, so make reservations in advance. #NanxiongTravel #GinkgoYellow #GuangdongAutumnColors #WhereToWalkWeekend #UncommonTravelDestinations
