Wang's wonton is a well-known snack in Nanjing. I went there to check in today. The wonton shop is much bigger than I expected and quite clean. The man with the mohawk must be Boss Wang. A small wonton is 7 yuan and a large one is 11 yuan, which is quite substantial. The taste is not amazing, but it is still very good. The dried shrimp and pickled mustard are all self-service. This time they put a little more spiciness. In fact, the original soup is very fresh and delicious. Later, after mixing the spiciness, I couldn't taste the original freshness. I recommend less spiciness
The queue was about 15 minutes, and there were various cakes and snacks for sale next to it. The waiter was skilled in making them, and there were about a dozen small bowls, each with a full meat stew, and shrimp skin, pickled mustard and chili oil for self-service.
I came here because of its reputation. This shop has to close for two days every month and is only open until 1pm every day. "Wontons" wontons here are divided into small bowls, large bowls, and extra large bowls. I have a large bowl. The size of the bowl is different, and the number of wontons is also different. The wontons are really good, with thin skin and large fillings. Each wonton is a small meatball and very chewy. "Scallion Pancake" The pancakes sold here are not bought in the store. This store only sells wontons. The pancakes are given a small place in front of the store where wontons are sold, and another store sells pancakes. There are scallion pancakes, sauce pancakes and egg pancakes. I bought scallion pancakes, wontons have fillings, and the lightest pancakes [Mint] Environment: Not big, but very clean [Service bell] Service: Pay and pick up by yourself
My favorite thing is wontons. This place, "Handy Wonton," is said to be owned by a relative of "Wang's Wonton." The wontons taste exactly like "Wang's Wonton." They add their own dried shrimp paste, like Jiangxi Wu Dong. Just looking at it makes you drool, right? And the key is, there's no line! At "Wang's Wonton," it takes ten minutes to get wontons, but an hour to line up.
I personally think these are the best wontons in Nanjing. The owner uses pork bones to make the broth, and the wontons are quite substantial. The filling is fresh and salty, and you can use your own dried shrimp. The same goes for pickled mustard greens, which are quite salty. [Taste] [Environment] [Service]
