I thought it was difficult to taste authentic Jiangnan flavors in the north, but Yan Jiangnan was so amazing! As soon as I entered the restaurant, the antique Chinese decoration was integrated with Luoyang elements, with peony screens and blue brick floors, which were elegant and grand. The waiters were warm and polite, and they also introduced the characteristics of the dishes. The signature beggar chicken was fragrant as soon as it was served. The moment the mud shell was cracked, the sense of ritual was full. The chicken was tender and boneless, soaked in the fragrance of lotus leaves; the crab meat tofu was golden and attractive, with a rich crab aroma, and the tofu was smooth and tasty. The rice was enough to make two big bowls! The Suzhou-style smoked fish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a mixture of sweet and salty, and the more you chew, the more fragrant it is. Even the stir-fried chicken with seasonal vegetables was cooked to perfection, crispy and refreshing! The dishes are exquisite and generous, and the price-performance ratio is super high.
