My Cancun trip at the end of October was perfect (except for the mosquito bites)! ✈️This time we avoided the holidays, so there were fewer people, and everything went smoothly. There was no queue at customs, and after a short wait for our luggage, we found a car rental company right outside the airport (we emailed them to book after booking the hotel). After confirming the information, we waited a minute or two before getting in the car, and it took about 50 minutes to get to the hotel (much smoother than last time!). 🏨We booked the Garza Blanca all-inclusive hotel (which I think is more like a resort). We didn't leave the hotel grounds for 7 days and 6 nights. Upon entering, staff brought us chilled towels and champagne. After check-in and putting on our wristbands, we went to our rooms. The hotel was quite new, with all smart toilets and electric curtains. The toiletries were L'Occitane. Each room had a hammock on the balcony, and there were resort-style slippers in the rooms. The only downside was that the hairdryer wasn't very good. 🍽️The hotel has four fine dining restaurants, but apart from the Mexican restaurant, the others are only open in the evenings. So reservations are a must. Our favorite was the Chinese restaurant DAO; we ate there three out of six nights, especially the hot and sour soup, the dry-fried green beans (spicy!), and the stir-fried rice noodles. The crispy duck and the shrimp rolls were also good. The matcha crème brûlée was amazing! 😋 The chef is Malaysian and trained in culinary arts in Hong Kong. Hiroshi was just okay overall; the sushi and desserts weren't great, except for the Crunchy Rice and Yuzu Salmon appetizers. Bocados had a great ambiance and service; the salmon tartare and grilled octopus leg were delicious, and the aged steak was also good. We only went to Blancablue, a Mexican restaurant, for lunch. It's by the sea with beautiful scenery, but the food was just average, nothing particularly good. For lunch, you can also go to the Foodtruck by the sea for light meals, enjoying the sea breeze and ocean views – the atmosphere is great. The grilled shrimp tacos and the BBQ chicken main course were delicious; the chicken was very tender. Breakfast was usually at the Gourmet buffet restaurant. The hall has limited options; we usually just had milkshakes with freshly made omelets, and the fruit wasn't very fresh. There's a coffee shop near the entrance, open at fixed times each day, where you can grab bread, desserts, and ice cream when you're hungry. You can also order room service, though the portions are small. The hotel also has an adult-only bar on the rooftop with an infinity pool that's great for taking photos; the views are beautiful, and you can watch the sunset 🌇. There's also a kids' club. Although my daughter is under 4 and couldn't be in childcare, she could still play there, but parents had to wait at the entrance. The activities were plentiful, and my daughter wanted to go every day. There was also a carousel 🎠 that kids loved. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. The food, accommodation, and service were all good. The beach, while not as nice as the one at the corner of the Seven-Character District, was still quite good.
【2 Days 1 Night | Tongling Yongquan Town Slow Life Guide】This hidden gem in Anhui is definitely worth visiting again and again! The charming Jiangnan style with its blue bricks and gray tiles is perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway~🌧️ DAY 1⃣️ Yongquan Farmhouse Flavors Museum → Jiangnan Flavors Snack Street → Yi Jiangnan Hot Spring The Jiangnan flavors are absolutely delicious! Highly recommend the freshly made Qingming cakes and chicken soup fried rice; the soup is fresh and flavorful, and the snacks are super affordable at 3-15 yuan. The hot spring area has many private pools; soaking in the hot spring on a rainy day is a wonderful experience (remember to bring your swimsuit)🌧️♨️ DAY 2⃣️ Yongquan Twelve Scenic Spots Hike → Songyun Mountain Residence Tea Tasting → Town Night View Check-in The mountain trail behind the town is a pleasant surprise! A 20-minute hike leads to the viewing platform, where the view of the entire Hui-style architectural complex in the misty rain is breathtaking (free!). Be sure to sit by the window at Songyun Tea House halfway up the mountain; the wild white tea (58 yuan/person) is refillable for 5 infusions! 📍Location Tips: Navigate to "Yongquan Tourist Resort" in a taxi. It takes about 40 minutes and costs around 60 yuan from Tongling Station. Driving is recommended for more flexibility (parking is free). 🏠Accommodation Recommendation: Staying within the scenic area grants free admission! We booked a double room at Yi Jiangnan Courtyard for 538 yuan, including breakfast for two. The view from the window is of a small bridge and flowing water. 💡Important Tips: 1. Remember to bring an umbrella and wear non-slip shoes on rainy days, as the cobblestone paths are slightly slippery. 2. You need to exchange old copper coins to buy snacks (exchange point at the entrance). 3. Bathrobes are provided in the hot spring area, but you need to bring your own skincare products. 4. The light and shadow are most beautiful after 4 pm; perfect for taking photos in Hanfu! #HuizhouOffTheBeatenPathTravel #YongquanResort #TonglingTourism #JiangnanRain #HotSpringB&B
