Close to the Jialing River, it was almost 2 o'clock when I arrived. I guess it was time to get off work, and the waiter didn't want to serve me. But in the end I had no choice but to come here. This restaurant is located near the river and the ancient city. It was past 8:00 when I returned, and since I was near the hotel and craving fish, I decided to go. They specialize in river seafood, but they primarily cook fish. All the fish is caught, slaughtered, and cooked fresh, so it's incredibly fresh! We chose a type of fish we'd never tried before, called clams. Looking at the tables around us, it seemed like the fish was all cooked the same way, but it was incredibly delicious! While the cooking was spicy and peppery, the fish was tender and had a wonderful texture. The small river shrimp were cooked a bit like Sichuan-style spicy chicken, with plenty of dried chilies and Sichuan peppercorns, which gave it a numbing, delicious flavor. The restaurant has both a lobby area and private rooms. Since it's close to the ancient city, individual customers are likely to be accommodated in the lobby. We arrived late, but they were still accommodated. Despite this, the food and service were excellent. There are also many local snacks!
