You can drink and eat Western food, the atmosphere is good and the pace is slow
1️⃣, Jianshui Yunnan's "Gujing Tofu Kingdom" • Transportation: 2 hours via Kunming high-speed rail. Walking or renting a bicycle (20 yuan/day) is super convenient within the ancient city. • Accommodation: We recommend the Zhu Family Garden Inn, priced at over 300 yuan/night. The courtyard of the Qing Dynasty residence is incredibly charming. • What to Do: Watch the sunset at Shuanglong Bridge and experience making soy milk at Ximen Tofu Shop (free!). • What to Eat: Braised tofu (50 yuan/piece at Banjing Tofu Shop), steamed chicken (delicious at Xiangmanlou). 2️⃣, Qingmuchuan A hidden gem of a "border town" at the junction of Shaanxi, Gansu, and Sichuan • Transportation: Xi'an high-speed rail to Hanzhong followed by a 3-hour bus ride (with stunning views of the rapeseed fields along the way). The town itself is a short walk away. • Accommodation: Choose the Huilongchang Inn, a stilt house priced at over 200 yuan/night, with views of verdant mountains and clear waters from the window. • What to do: Listen to stories of the Republic of China at the Wei Family Mansion and tread water along the Jinxi River (bring slippers!). • What to eat: Walnut buns (freshly baked at Xujia Laopu for 2 yuan each), hot and sour fish hot pot (excellent with rice). 3️⃣, Nanjing A firefly forest deep within the Fujian Tulou • Transportation: Drive from Xiamen for 1.5 hours, or charter a high-speed rail car to Nanjing Station (150 yuan/day). A visit to the Tianluokeng (Tianluokeng) pit is a must. • Accommodation: Stay at the Fuxinglou B&B in Yunshuiyao, 400+ yuan/night for a stay in a 600-year-old Tulou and watch fireflies at night! • What to do: See the marsh wonders at Heguilou, and take photos of the Tulou cluster in the morning with a four-dish-and-one-soup meal (drone-friendly). • What to eat: Salt chicken (roasted in an earthenware jar at Ahong Restaurant), stewed duck with golden thread vine (a must-try for a healthy meal). 4️⃣, Yanji A Little Korea in Northeast China! A paradise for cold noodles and BBQ • Transportation: 2.5 hours by Changchun high-speed rail, taxis start at 5 yuan. The bilingual signs are super fun. • Accommodation: Stay at the "Folk Garden Hanok" for over 200 yuan/night. Wear hanbok and take photos – your parents will instantly become the protagonists of a Korean drama! • What to do: Catch the morning market at the floating market (5:00-8:00 AM), and enjoy the city's night view from Maoer Mountain (free). • What to eat: Sunji cold noodles (perfect with sweet and sour pork), spicy pig intestines (the same dish from "Pili Boys"). ------ 💡 Travel Tips: In July, the days are long and the nights are short in Yanji, with light still shining at 9:00 PM! Give your parents a light jacket for the chilly mornings and evenings.
Jianshui, a thousand-year-old ancient city hidden in southern Yunnan, was once the birthplace of the ancient Dian Kingdom and a key post station on the Tea-Horse Road. Over 1,300 years of history have been etched here, and every bluestone slab bears the story of time. 🚗 Transportation Guide • High-speed Rail: Kunming → Jianshui, a 2-hour direct journey (approximately 60 yuan), or a 10-minute taxi ride from the station to the ancient city. • Self-Drive: About 3 hours from Kunming, with breathtaking scenery along the way! ------ 🏯 Must-See Attractions 1. Jianshui Ancient City ◦ 📍 Free! Bluestone pavement and Ming and Qing dynasty architecture are at their most photogenic in the early morning and evening. ◦ 🍜 Foodie Bonus: The grass sprout rice noodles at "Xiangmanlou" at the entrance to the ancient city are a must-try! (10 yuan/bowl) 2. Zhu Family Garden ◦ 📍 35 yuan admission, a breathtakingly beautiful "Grand View Garden" in southern Yunnan. The carved doors and windows are breathtaking! Wear Hanfu for photos! ◦ ⏰ Open from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM. A recommended 2-hour visit is recommended. 3. Shuanglong Bridge (Seventeen-Arch Bridge) ◦ 📍 Free! Gorgeous sunsets. Play in the shallows under the bridge, a popular photo spot for locals! 4. Swallow Cave ◦ 📍 80 yuan admission (includes boat ride). Asia's largest karst cave. Witness the spectacular sight of thousands of swallows returning to their nests in the summer! ------ 🍲 A Foodie's Paradise • Barbecue Night Market: ◦ Zitao Street Night Market! We recommend the grilled tofu and sweet white wine at "Yao's Barbecue" (all-you-can-eat, 30 yuan per person). • Specialty Snacks: ◦ Steamed Chicken (Lin'an Restaurant), Cold Rice Noodle Rolls (Papaya Old Shop), Steamed Buns (Ximen Tofu Shop). --- 🏡 Accommodation Recommendations • Budget-Friendly: Jianshui Tingziyun Inn (150 RMB/night, the courtyard house is a real treat). • Quality-Oriented: Zhuyexuan B&B (500 RMB+/night, includes a purple pottery soaking pool and private dishes). --- 💡 Unconventional Activities • Purple Pottery DIY: Make your own Jianshui purple pottery at "Taoyun Tianxia" (experience price 80 RMB). • Meter-Gauge Train: Check out the retro train (120 RMB, stops at Xianghui Bridge and Tuanshan Folk Houses). --- ⚠️ Pitfall Avoidance Tips 1. Taxis are difficult to find within the ancient city, so renting an electric scooter is recommended (30 RMB/day). 2. When buying purple pottery, look for the "Jianshui Purple Pottery" geographical indication, and avoid haggling at tourist attractions! 3. During the rainy season (June-August), bring an umbrella and sunscreen! Sunscreen! (The UV rays are so strong it makes me cry!) ------ 📸 Photoshoot outfit tip: Light-colored cheongsam/Hanfu (Chinese traditional clothing) with a straw bag—any corner of the ancient city looks like a movie set! Jianshui is truly perfect for a slow-paced lifestyle! Go for it, ladies! 👇 Comments section: Instant replies! #RecommendedFreeTickets #YunnanTravelGuide #YunnanJianshui #YunnanJianshuiAncientCity
