古藤幽兰The pot stickers of Daoxiangju are indeed very unique and delicious. Currently, they are basically ranked first in Kaifeng, and the locals of Kaifeng highly recognize them. However, the Daoxiangju store located in Songdu Imperial Street is temporarily closed due to interior renovation and upgrading, which is quite regrettable. If you really want to eat it, you can find another branch. It is worth a try.

Traditional Henan cuisine, authentic Kaifeng flavor Daoxiangju, opened in the eighth year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty on the east side of Nanshudian Street, is said to have been founded by Shao Shutang from Tianjin. In 1990, it moved to Songdu Yujie. It is famous in the ancient city for its pot stickers and chicken wontons with "thin skin, large fillings, fresh and fragrant, crispy and with wing scales", and later added stir-fried dishes. Pot stickers are stuffed with fresh meat, tender leeks, peanut oil, small milled oil, cooking wine, minced ginger, etc., and are wrapped in fine flour skin into small boats. They are placed in a pan in turn, boiled with water and high heat, and then poured with thin flour water after the water is dry. Pour oil after the water is slightly used up, and then fry over low heat until the bottom is persimmon red. The real braised fish is made with wild small fish from the Yellow River, such as limaou (sound), creeping tiger, chuanding'er, bangu, huamazhe (zhāo), fish roe and other top-quality ingredients. It is strictly marinated, fried and braised until a pot of braised fish with golden color and delicious soup is ready.
Daoxiangju is a well-known old brand in Kaifeng. It was founded in the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, which was in 1880s! At first, it only served its own pot stickers, and later added chicken soup wontons, and later added stir-fried vegetables. The dishes are simple and unrefined, and the pot stickers are really good when they are freshly cooked!
I learned about the special dishes in advance, so I ordered baked carp noodles and bucket chicken, both of which were delicious. I even want to eat the bucket chicken againヽ(゚∀゚)ノThere are discounts when using American Express, and the service is also very friendly.
You can give this place a try. I have been there many times. I mainly try their pot stickers, which are quite delicious. This store has a history of over a hundred years. Their refreshing shredded papaya is also good.
