After visiting the Xiandu Scenic Area in Jinyun, Lishui, I went to Nan Ge's Kitchen in the county town alone that evening. I ordered three dishes and bought a bottle of Beijing Erguotou (a type of Chinese liquor) from the supermarket next door. The braised river fish, a specialty of Lishui, was indeed incredibly delicious; I couldn't stop eating it and finished the whole plate. For several days after returning home, I'd been craving small mixed fish. Today, I couldn't resist any longer and went to the market, buying several small mixed fish and three small bream. After washing them, I marinated them in salt for fifteen minutes, then pan-fried them, added hot water, scallions, ginger, and soy sauce, and started braising them.
