Its stylish decor makes dining there feel truly immersive. It can be quite busy, so you'll sometimes have to wait for a table 💓. 🌸 I ordered a few random dishes, and overall, the food and appearance were both excellent. 🍨 Pao Lu Da specializes in desserts. The coconut-flavored broth is rich and creamy, and the softened flatbread has a unique flavor. I highly recommend it. 🍋 Mango Sticky Rice can be considered a dessert; the sweet mango and condensed milk on top perfectly complement the rice. 🐔 Pounded Chicken Feet is a local specialty. The sour, spicy, and flavorful chicken feet are quite tasty. The pineapple fried rice was average, but the porcini mushroom fried rice was quite delicious, with the dry aroma of the meat and the flavor of the mushrooms blending perfectly 💯. 🌴 The staff was quite friendly, though the food was a little slow to arrive due to the large crowds. Otherwise, the service was quite satisfactory. We tried the specialty mushroom hotpot, barbecue, Thai dishes, desserts, and drinks. Following online and hotel recommendations, everything was pretty good (the barbecue was quite salty and strong, which is a common problem). We highly recommend the roast chicken at Wantai and No. 21 Manyuan Village 🍗 Their roast chicken is YYDs!! Accommodation: I highly recommend the Xishuangbanna Yuejiang Hotel. It's less than 1km from the Gaozhuang Scenic Area. The hotel includes shuttle service within the area, making it convenient to get around and away from the hustle and bustle of the night market. The service was excellent. The hotel is a standalone building with a large private pool with clean water. They even gave us tea souvenirs upon check-out. 🍵 We originally booked for one night, but extended it for three! 🏨 Travel: 1️⃣ I recommend leaving early and taking a nap at the hotel from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, or finding a coffee shop. Xishuangbanna is incredibly comfortable in the mornings and evenings in late March, but the UV rays and temperatures from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM are only suitable for special forces soldiers. I can't handle it. 🤦‍♀️ 2️⃣ Shopping: I recommend shopping at the Riverside Night Market; the Starlight Night Market is a bit pricey. 3️⃣ Hiking. 4️⃣ Massage. One night, I randomly tried a kau zhuang (a traditional Chinese music parlor) and it was great. The staff was incredibly chatty and fun, and we kept chatting. 5️⃣ Going to a Dai disco. The Six Nations Music Festival opens at 8:00 PM, but it's very traditional rock. The bars near the Riverside Night Market generally don't start until 11:00 or 12:00 PM. Anyway, our schedule was pretty chill. I don't have any particular recommendations. Many attractions were similar, so we didn't repeat them. If you like to check out a lot of attractions, you should book a car in advance; some are quite far away. Also, don't rent those sports cars that cost 200 or 300 yuan a day; they're a rip-off! ! Don't forget this! Finally, we met so many wonderful people along the way and were incredibly lucky, so everything went smoothly without any setbacks. It's important to have a positive attitude when you go out. There are always negative reviews online, but everyone experiences it differently. The time of year you go is different, and the people and experiences you encounter are also different. Choose the experience that works for you and you'll have a blast! 🥳
