Found a magical courtyard in Jianshui! ✨ 📍Address: Inside the Ancient City of Jianshui County, Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province (direction available) 💰Average price: 50 yuan for all-you-can-eat! Push open the creaky wooden door🚪 It's like stepping back in time to a century-old house. Looking up, you'll see the time-honored wooden beams. Every photo you take is a throwback!📸 Must-try signature dish: 🍲Chicken Pot Chicken: The meat is incredibly tender! I even finished the broth. They also have some Yunnan fusion dishes you can try. Two bowls of sour soup noodles for under 30 yuan are enough to leave you leaning against the wall😋 Sitting in the courtyard at night with a cup of tea🍵 and listening to the ancient city breeze is so relaxing~🌙 #JianshuiAncientCity #YunnanFood #JianshuiStoreExplore #TreasureShop #CenturyOldHouse
I was playing in Jianshui Old Town. After visiting the most famous tourist attraction, Zhu Family Garden, I strolled around the old street for a while. It was almost time for lunch, so I wanted to find a restaurant with local characteristics to eat some Yunnan food. I searched for travel guides and saw Yang Family Garden. I thought it was very good, definitely better than those snack shops on the street. After searching for more than ten minutes, I finally found it. The entrance from the outside was not very eye-catching, but it was a different world inside. It seemed to have some background. The introduction of Jianshui to visit Zhu Family, Zhang Family, and Yang Family proved that I made the right choice. Then I ordered some special Yunnan dishes. The store owner also took out a fire pit, and I roasted the fire, drank tea, ate Yunnan food, and looked at the old houses. It felt great. Finally, I took a few photos of the store owner's cat who likes to eat bacon.
Built during the Daoguang reign, the main structure of Yang Family Garden remains remarkably intact, boasting carved beams and painted rafters, a fish pond, ancient trees, and a cleverly designed courtyard layout. In Jianshui, there's a saying: "Stroll in Zhu Family Garden, explore Zhang Family Garden, and eat in Yang Family Garden." Enjoying ethnic cuisine while playing in the water and feeding the fish is truly a delight.
Yang Family Garden is the most famous restaurant in Jianshui Ancient City. Otherwise, there would not be the saying in Jianshui that "visit Zhu's, see Zhang's, and eat Yang's". Moreover, it has been in operation for nearly a hundred years. The current Yang Family Garden is in an alley called Hongjing Road in Jianshui. Diagonally opposite is the former residence of Marshal Zhu De in Jianshui. The front door is not big, but there is a different world inside. There is even a small pond with goldfish. The taste is very Yunnan. Friends who come to Jianshui can go and try it.
