It was a lucky find, and the boat ride was relaxing and beautiful, perfect for us with kids. ❗️ The Ye Sanxia Qingjiang Grand Canyon is also very close, but ends before 4 PM. If you don't want to just take the boat, you can also visit. Shuangtudi Old Street is located in the third group of Baiyanshui Village, Jingyang Town, Jianshi County, Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hubei Province. It is five kilometers away from Jingyang Town and faces Jingyang Pass on the north bank of Qingjiang River from north to south. This old street has a history of 300 years. It was a salt road post in ancient times. It was named because two stones resembling the land bodhisattva were dug out and two land temples were built during the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. Shuangtudi Old Street was once the center of politics, economy and culture. Before liberation, it was the seat of the Kuomintang township office. During the Second Civil Revolutionary War, the Red 26th Corps led by Marshal He Long established the Soviet red regime here. After liberation, it was the seat of the Jingyang District Office until the early 1960s. It is said that Marshal He Long once led the Red Army to station here. The terrain of Shuangtudi Old Street is steep, and the houses are built on the mountain. There are two main reasons for its formation: one is that it was an important border trade town of Rongmei Tusi at that time; the other is its unique geographical location. The old street is divided into the lower street and the upper street. The street is about two meters wide and paved with stone slabs. It is very regular. The sewer is set under the stone slabs in the middle of the street. There are stone holes every few steps in the middle of the street to facilitate rainwater seepage without causing water accumulation on the street. On both sides of the street are low wooden houses, most of which are one-story. Due to the long time, they look old and vicissitudes. The traces of business in the past can be seen from the window sills and counters.
