After sailing from Qili, we ended our trip to Meicheng. We didn’t have lunch on the island, and we were already hungry when we got off the boat. We had originally searched for this “Manfulou” (is there anyone who has been comparing “Fumanlou” to me…) on the reviews website, and it has a good reputation. We happened to pass by on the way back to Hangzhou, so we made arrangements! Before getting off the boat, we called to ask about the business hours, and the clerk said we could come. It was already 3pm when we arrived at the store, which was actually the store’s lunch break, but they would not refuse customers, and their attitude was not impatient, which made us feel a little embarrassed. We quickly ordered the dishes, because there were only two of us, and many dishes were too large to recommend. Some steamed dishes took a long time and were not convenient, so we mainly ordered home-cooked stir-fried dishes. Three-diced small sweet peas (35): The dishes are subject to the actual product~~~~~~~~ There are no three kinds of “diced”, only green peas + small sausages. Although the sausages were a little burnt, they tasted good. Sweet and Sour Pork (38): My husband loves sweet and sour pork. He always orders it wherever he goes. The sweet and sour pork in this restaurant is also the signature dish of the restaurant. The skin is very crispy after being fried again. The sweet and sour sauce is just the right amount of sweet and sour. Finally, my picky husband gave it a high score. Stir-fried pork with spicy peppers (48): This dish was recommended to us by the waiter. It was not as spicy as we imagined. Firstly, the spicy peppers gave it a face, and secondly, it was not stir-fried with local spicy food. It was quite suitable for our appetite. Shengjian soup dumplings (48): There are 16 dumplings in one serving!! Except for the broken ones, almost every soup dumpling can be slurped with broth, and the taste is good, but I personally think the price of 3 yuan per dumpling is a bit expensive~~~~~~~~   The environment of their restaurant is worth mentioning. There are some small highlights in each area, such as the big fish pond at the entrance, the big tea table by the window, the Hui style tile edge shape at the ordering area, and the well next to the cash register...   Overall, it's not bad. I'll try their "Top Ten" next time I have a chance "Must-order dishes" - stewed duck with morels, stewed pork tripe with shank bones, healthy bamboo chicken, desert lamb chops, local pork sandwich, Jiangnan slow-cooked veal steak, steamed wild river prawns with local sauce, supreme Qiandao Lake fish head, chicken feet and salted tofu stew, Shuangjing fish ring; and their "top ten local dishes" - stewed beef offal in a copper pot, steamed ocean lake crab, pork with preserved plums, steamed meatballs in a small cage, steamed buns with meat in a jar, brown sugar glutinous rice cake, braised mixed fish pot, icing on the cake, mountain bamboo shoots and tofu, and farm-made raw flour cakes.
