Huizhou's Old Town is truly overflowing with time-honored establishments. A friend recommended this must-try 🉐 restaurant to me. It's Lingling Wonton, a 40-year-old favorite that remains unwaveringly popular. They've persevered to preserve the nostalgic flavors of generations. 🏠Environment: The restaurant isn't large, so there's no need for overly fancy decor. It has the classic, old-town feel of a time-honored establishment. The dining area is on the left, and the window cooking area is on the right. We arrived at 9:00 PM and were already sharing tables. The kitchen is open, offering a transparent view of the cooking process. You can see the real ingredients, and the food is delicious. 📝Recommended Dishes: ✔️ Fried Wontons with Sauce. This is the restaurant's signature dish, a must-try. The wontons are filled with pure pork. The filling is hand-chopped, and the texture is incredibly chewy. Even pork averse people will fall in love with them. Make sure to mix well before eating. Every wonton is coated in the sauce. Delicious! ✔️Chee Cheong Fun Although it's a wonton shop, the chee cheong fun is quite good. It has a wonderful texture, evenly thick, smooth and chewy. The sauce is the real deal, generously portioned, and looks incredibly tempting. Each bite is incredibly satisfying, and I never get tired of it. As expected, excellent people excel in everything they do! ✔️Shengdi Dragon Bone Soup As the "King of Soups," this place is a must-try for breakfast. Cantonese people emphasize the original broth when it comes to soups. The broth is cooked thoroughly, and only by savoring it carefully can you truly appreciate the flavors of the ingredients. The stews are very affordable, but they sell out quickly. When we visited, only two were left. Most of the people who come here are old neighbors, grandparents, chatting and laughing. Good food has always warmed the heart, and the wontons, with their rich human touch, are even more so. 🍲 🏠Shop Name: Lingling Wonton Noodle Shop ⏰Opening Hours: 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM 📍Address: 30 meters south of the intersection of Shuidong South Road and Shuidong East Road, west of the street #Food Journey #Taste the Authentic Time-Honored Restaurants #Time-Honored Shops on Old Street #What to Do in Huizhou #Explore Time-Honored Restaurants
This 40-year-old shop in Huizhou has won the hearts of many locals with its wontons! Lao Mu Fan Niang has been serving customers since she was in her 20s and is now in her 70s. This is a time-honored shop that has earned her a reputation for its flavor.
