There are many specialties in the old street. We went around and chose this one. The proprietress was polite and solicited customers, which gave us a good feeling. The food tastes unique, the bamboo shoot noodles are delicious, and nutritious. Recommended.

Located near Tunxi Old Street, the breakfast tastes good and is affordable. The signature dishes are wontons and tarts, but there are also many other breakfast items, including fried dough sticks and soy milk, which can meet the needs of tourists from all over the world.

The food here is very special, with the authentic flavor of Huizhou.

This trip focused on a relaxing self-driving tour. Southern Anhui truly offers a scenic spot, and its beauty is truly breathtaking. We skipped the Huangshan Mountain climb, fearing it would be too tiring. Instead, we visited nearby Qiyun Mountain, where we also experienced the joy of climbing. Itinerary Overview: Day 1: Arrive in Hongcun, immerse yourself in the ancient village's ink paintings, and stay at a Hongcun B&B. Day 2: Morning climb Qiyun Mountain (relaxed version). In the afternoon, arrive in Tunxi, explore Tunxi Old Street/Liyang Lane at night, and stay at a Tunxi B&B. Day 3: Morning exploration of Xixinan, the site of the "Wizard of Oz." In the afternoon, stroll through Chengkan, the "Eight Diagrams Village." Return. ⬇️⬇️⬇️ Day 1: Depart from Hefei in the morning and arrive in Hongcun in 3.5 hours. We chose a B&B located near the scenic area. We checked in and rested for a while, so there was no need to plan a route; we could explore freely! Experience the renovated Hui-style old houses and soak in the tranquil atmosphere of the ancient village at night! Tip: The village also offers delicious local cuisine. If you don't want to go out, you can order takeout from the B&B! Day 2: Morning: Climb Qiyun Mountain (Easy Edition) After breakfast, check out and drive to the Qiyun Mountain Scenic Area Cableway Station (approximately a one-hour drive). Qiyun Mountain is a renowned Taoist mountain with Danxia landforms and beautiful scenery, and is a more relaxing experience than Huangshan. Afternoon: Drive to Tunxi District, the heart of Huangshan City (approximately a one-hour drive). Check into a Tunxi B&B (this time, we stayed at Jiangyuan B&B, located in the old street. The experience was fantastic; see my pinned post). In the evening, we'll try authentic snacks at time-honored establishments (such as Wang Yitiao Wontons and Xiusao Tart Cake) and local recommendations (Bao Hulu and Hui San Shuo). Day 3: After breakfast, drive approximately 30 minutes to Xixi South (free). Stroll along the wooden plank road, enjoy the cool water, and completely relax. Drive about 20 minutes to Chengkan in the afternoon. The trip ends in the evening, right next to the highway entrance for the return trip. Key Tips: 1. Accommodation: In Hongcun, stay in a B&B in the core area of the scenic area! In Tunxi, choose a B&B near the Old Street (our choice, Jiangyuan B&B, is right on the Old Street, offering an elegant and attentive service). 2. Driving: Check your vehicle's condition in advance and download an offline map. Arrive early and park during peak season in Hongcun, Qiyun Mountain, and Chengkan. Drive carefully on mountain roads. 3. Food: Try the three unique Huizhou delicacies (stinky mandarin fish, hairy tofu, and bamboo shoots), sesame cakes, and tart cakes. 4. Pace: Start your day early to save time, focus on the highlights, and enjoy a slower pace.
