There are often queues on weekends and holidays. This shop specializes in wonton noodles, fried wontons, pork knuckle noodles, etc. The decoration is also full of the style of Xiguan mansions. You can feel the stories of the past while eating noodles.

Hidden in the alley, but it is actually quite easy to find. Just walk along the small road next to the Xicheng Duhui Shopping Mall~ The original store was very small and could not seat many people. But it has the flavor of old Guangzhou. Now there is a house next to it with more seats. It is full of antique decorations, and there are tools for making wontons and stone mills~ The price is cheap and the portion is large. Many old neighbors come to patronize. The pickled radish here is delicious, and there are fried wontons. I love it!

Wu Cai Ji Noodle House is located in a super dilapidated alley in Lao Xiguan. However, no matter it is lunch or dinner, you basically need to wait for a table. The shop is located in the roadside of the alley, the ancient Xiguan Mansion and the Minglu stall. All of them are full of people. There is also a century-old well in the store of Xiguan Mansion. It is rare that the water source is still abundant. BBC, National Geographic Magazine, Qatar Al Jazeera and many domestic TV stations have come here for interviews and filming. The most rare thing is that you can eat very full for only 20 yuan per person. The crispy Jinlu wonton and the rich and mellow pork knuckle noodles are my favorites. They are paired with the free and sour radish as a side dish, which is very sour and appetizing!

At noon, I was starving. I thought that I had been in Guangzhou for so many days, but I had not tasted the local specialty - wonton noodles. I immediately followed the trail and came to the time-honored Wu Cai Ji Noodle House (No. 84, Datong Road and No. 20, Longli). The small shop is in a small alley and is very popular. I guess they are all like us. It was already past one in the afternoon, and the shop was still full of people. The shop is decorated in a very simple style, with the old carrying poles and a unique small filling well. We ordered a bowl of wonton noodles, a portion of fried wontons, a bowl of beef brisket noodles and a portion of oyster sauce lettuce. I think they are all delicious. The noodles are all alkaline noodles, thin and refreshing; the wontons are filled with big shrimps; the fried wontons are so crispy that they break when touched; the beef brisket is fragrant and crispy. LG thinks it is not authentic enough (high standards, strict requirements). He said the beef brisket was not flavorful enough; the noodles and soup were not satisfactory; he ordered rapeseed, but got oyster sauce lettuce; the wontons were downgraded to a small bowl of dim sum... I remember spending only over 30 yuan in total. I didn't realize how much I could eat!

Well-deserved reputation. The taste of traditional Cantonese wonton noodles, the memory of childhood taste buds alone is worth five stars. Cantonese wontons are smaller than Hong Kong wontons, fish tail, the wonton filling is very fresh and sweet, and the wonton skin alone is very delicious. The noodles are not top-notch, not as crunchy as the first noodles and not as smooth as the double treasures, and the soup base is not as good as the first noodles. The double treasures are sweet and salty, and I feel thirsty after drinking them. But the noodles and soup base are related to personal taste and are relatively subjective evaluations. The fried wontons are very fragrant. From a distance, Wu Caiji, No. 20, is not much different from an ordinary neighborhood noodle shop, but if you look closely, it turns out that there is a Xiguan mansion at No. 40 opposite No. 20. Xiguan mansion, century-old well, cultural relics and noodle making equipment... everything is the precipitation of history. No wonder BBC and National Geographic Magazine have interviewed it. When going to Shamian, breakfast is usually at Wu Cai Ji. It takes only 5 minutes to get there along Datong Road from Huangsha subway station. Wu Cai Ji, a 65-year-old time-honored brand, has become well-known from CCTV's "A Bite of China" to the BBC in the UK. "Wu Cai Ji" is divided into two parts. One half is in the doorway of the old house, where various ancient noodle-making tools and production pictures are placed, including a flour-grinding stone plate, a wooden basin for rubbing noodles, a bamboo noodle press, and a century-old Xiguan ancient well. The other half is a new stall in front of the door, which is no different from the simple and straightforward snack shops in Xiguan. A chef sits in a corner of the kitchen and wraps wontons with a bamboo stick, which is done in seconds with one pick, one spread, and one pinch; another chef uses a large colander to cook noodles and wontons in front of a steaming pot, calm and relaxed. Wu's wontons are traditional fresh meat fine paste, with moderately thick and thin skin, transparent and tough. The soup is made of fish, pork bones, shrimp skin, ham and other ingredients, accompanied by refreshing and smooth wontons, which slide into your mouth, and the word "delicious" lingers between your lips and teeth. Not only that, fried wontons are also one of its specialties. The wonton skin is fried crispy and very delicious. The price per person is about 12 yuan, which is economical and beneficial to the neighborhood.
