神奇马可My friend raved about the incredible Fuding snacks, so I came here specifically to try them! Originally, I hadn't planned to stop in Fuding; I was going straight from Xiapu to Wenzhou. But since he mentioned it so many times and saw pictures on social media, I decided to stay here for two days.
1⃣️Qiu Xinxiong Meat Slice Shop
📍No. 30, Danshui Bridge, Taimu Avenue
My friend said any meat slice shop here is guaranteed to be good, but I still asked the owner, and he's a shop that's been open for over 30 years!
Locals also go there. After ordering, I watched the owner shovel the meat slices into the pot with a spoon, just like making knife-cut noodles. The speed of his swishing movements was so appetizing.
The dry-mixed meat slices I ordered were perfectly chewy. If you like a stronger flavor, add chili peppers and vinegar for a spicy and sour start!
2⃣️Laoxiang Almond Tofu
📍No. 41 Hegan Road
Attracted by the name "almond tofu," a dish I've loved since childhood, I followed the waiter's recommendation and ordered the magnolia jelly almond tofu. It was much better than what I'd had in Shaoxing. I chatted with the owner about local snacks and attractions, and he recommended "ants climbing a tree."
The name is quite interesting. In Fuding, it's the name of a dessert. In Taiwan, it's the name of a dish with rice noodles and minced meat. The waiter in Changzhou said it's also the name of a dish, but it uses real, edible black ants.
One name, different places, different things—very interesting. I ordered the Ants Climbing a Tree, with hawthorns and raisins hanging from a strip of agar-agar. It really did look like ants climbing a tree, and I slurped it up.
3⃣️ Fang Ji Shizijie Chuanchuan
📍No. 20, Shizixi Lane, Tongshan Street
It's said to be very famous. I passed by and saw a line. The portions looked small, so I bought some to try. The spicy tofu and dried tofu were delicious, especially with the sauce. The rest was just average. A quick bite cost just over 10 yuan, which is quite cheap.
4⃣️ Wu Ji Pan-fried Buns
The owner of the dessert shop recommended it. When I arrived, they had just finished making a whole batch, and there was a line, so I bought one. The ingredients were substantial and it was quite good.
5⃣️ Pork Slices Grandpa (Old Shop on Shizihou Street)
📍No. 54, Gucheng West Road
It's also a long-standing place. I went back the next day. The owners are an elderly couple, and there were quite a few people there. I ordered the dry stuff this time, but I personally prefer the Qiu Xinxiong stuffing from yesterday.
6️⃣ Fuding Seafood Street
📍North side of Shanshui Mingdu Kindergarten, Yanhe Road
Although I was enjoying my food, I was drawn to this place on my way back to the hotel that evening. First, there were people selling seafood at the intersection late at night, then there were the sounds of red lanterns and hawkers, so I walked in.
The entire street is filled with seafood stalls! The open shopfronts on both sides are filled with fresh seafood, which is very appetizing to look at, and even if you don't eat, it's still fun to just watch.
Although I only stayed in Fuding for two days, the variety of snacks was really good and worth the trip. Taimu Mountain is also nearby and worth a visit.

Who knows! This hidden gem of a city in Fujian, nestled between the mountains and the sea, is quieter than Xiamen and more delicious than Quanzhou. Three days and two nights simply isn't enough! ✨ 📍Route Overview (No Backtracking) Day 1: Arrive in Ningde → Xiapu Dongbi Village → Taikang Road Seafood Stalls Day 2: Taimu Mountain → Yangjia Creek Day 3: Sanduao Cross-Sea Bridge Observation Deck → Downtown Street Food Tour → Return 🌅Must-See Attractions (with Pitfall Avoidance Guide) 1. Xiapu Dongbi Village This fishing village perched on a cliff is absolutely stunning! The road leading to the sea is a perfect wallpaper in any photo. The sunset over the sea in the evening paints the sky orange. 🍊 Arrive before 4 PM and enjoy seafood at a seaview restaurant while you watch the sunset (I recommend Shijian Haizhong Restaurant for its stunning views). ⚠️Pitfall Avoidance: Parking is limited on holidays, so you can park at the village entrance and walk in. 2. Taimu Mountain It lives up to its reputation as a "fairy mountain on the sea"! Its peaks are treacherous and its rocks are bizarre. You have to walk sideways to enter the "One Line of Sky," and as the clouds drift by, it feels like entering a fairyland. 🌫️ We recommend the "Yingxiantai - Huludong - Jiuli Lake" route, which takes 5 hours and offers the best scenery along the way. ⚠️Avoid pitfalls: Wear non-slip shoes! Some stone steps are extremely slippery in the rain. 3. Yangjia Creek The ancient banyan trees at dawn are so atmospheric! Sunlight filtering through the branches and leaves, and the leisurely stroll of an old cow creates a sense of paradise. 🍃 It's even more beautiful in October when the maple leaves turn red. No filters are needed for photos. 4. Sanduao Cross-Sea Bridge Observation Deck A new landmark for 2025! Enjoy a 360-degree view of the fishing boats on the azure sea. At night, when the lights are on, they look like a giant silver dragon lying on the water. Free and photogenic! ⚠️Avoid: Weekends are crowded, so go early on weekdays. 🍤Food List (Locals' Secret Collection) Seafood Crash - Taikang Road Seafood Stall: Freshly caught and steamed yellow croaker is incredibly sweet and tender, the meat falls off the bone with a pinch of salt. They also offer plump mantis shrimp and blood clams. For 80 yuan per person, you can eat until you're full. - Old Fuding Traditional Cuisine: Choose from a wide selection of seafood. The steamed razor clams in garlic sauce are highly recommended; they're incredibly fresh. Snacks of the Desire - Pork Slices Grandpa (Shizi Houjie Old Shop): The Fuding pork slices are chewy and firm, and with a spoonful of rice vinegar and chili peppers, they're so sour, spicy, and delicious that they're incredibly appetizing. - Shouning Rice Cake (Wenbi Jiayuan Branch): Soft, glutinous rice cakes filled with fillings and drizzled with a secret broth are incredibly satisfying. - Oyster Pancakes: 5 yuan each, with a crispy crust and bursting with fresh oysters. The most authentic ones are sold at the stalls at the entrance to the Old Town's vegetable market. 🚌 Transportation & Accommodation Guide Transportation - Main Transportation: Fly to Fuzhou/Wenzhou Airport and transfer to the high-speed rail to Ningde Station (approximately 1.5 hours). - City: Tourist attractions are scattered, so it's recommended to rent a car (average 150 yuan per day) or share a ride at Ningde Station (a one-way trip to Taimu Mountain is about 50 yuan per person). Accommodation - Value: Super8 Yue Hotel, just over 100 yuan for two days and one night, with free parking and laundry services, and a 10-minute walk to the City God Temple. - High-End: Ningde Baixiang Sanduao Hotel, with private views of East Lake and a full selection of Chinese and Western breakfasts. - Ocean Viewing: Xiapu Manhaigu B&B, facing the ocean, wake up to the sound of waves. 💡 Random Thoughts 1. October is when Ningde's seafood is at its most juicy; don't miss out on the yellow croaker and sea cucumber. 2. You can buy a combined ticket for Taimu Mountain and Yangjiaxi, which is 20 yuan cheaper than buying them separately. 3. The temperature difference in the mountains is significant, so even in summer, bring a light jacket. Ningde's beauty lies hidden between the mountains and the sea. There are no crowds, only delicious, heart-warming food and soothing scenery. Once you're here, you won't want to leave! ❤️ #NingdeTravelGuide #FujianNicheTravel #MountainandSeaSecrets #XiapuSunset #TaimuMountainThings #SoloTravel #HaveFunWithFriends #WhereToGoWeekend #HowToSitLowBodyWalk #SonglikeJourney
Three Days and Two Nights in Ningde | A Complete Guide to Underrated Mountain and Sea Adventures! Heed my advice! Stop crowding into popular online destinations! Ningde, the "Pearl of Eastern Fujian," hides breathtaking mountain and seascapes. With sparse crowds, breathtaking scenery, and delicious food, you won't want to leave after three days and two nights. This travel guide is practically a babysitting guide 🌊! 🚗 Pre-trip Pitfalls: Essential Tips Ningde's attractions are scattered across the sea and mountains, making public transportation incredibly inconvenient. We recommend taking the high-speed rail to Xiapu Station, then renting a car and driving. The mountainous roads are winding, but the scenery is breathtaking. Remember to pack your motion sickness medicine ⚠️. Staying in Dongbi Village is a truly amazing choice, with a golden sunset right out the window. Even on a budget, staying in the county town is a great option, with all the food stalls nearby. Important! Be sure to check the tide table before heading to Xiapu; the mudflats at low tide are a true spectacle of light and shadow 📸! 🌅 Three-Day Itinerary: Enjoy the ambiance of mountains, sea, and the hustle and bustle of life Day 1: Tidal Flat Lights + Ancient Village Tea Aroma This morning, explore the Beiqi Tidal Flats. The texture of the low-tide mudflats resembles a natural ink painting. Fishermen paddle their small bamboo rafts by, snapping away as they pass by, creating stunning photos. At noon, head straight to the traditional "Rou Pian Agong" restaurant. The springy Fuding pork slices, drizzled with rice vinegar and chili oil, are so delicious you'll want to stamp your feet! In the afternoon, explore Bailin Ancient Street. The bluestone paving slants along the mountainside, resembling a "climbing street." The ancient plaques of century-old tea shops gleam in the sunlight. Stop by "Tong Shun Tai" for a cup of Gongfu black tea and listen to the elders recount stories of the tea merchants of yesteryear. Time seems to slow down. In the evening, watch the sunset at Dongbi Village. The setting sun paints the sea an orange hue, making for stunning silhouettes that require no retouching. Day 2: Fairy Mountain on the Sea + Seaside Carnival Get up early to climb Mount Taimu. Don't be put off by the "climbing" part; the real fun lies in the caves! The "One Line Sky" cave is so narrow you have to walk sideways. Looking up, you'll see only a strip of blue sky. The moment you emerge, you'll be greeted by a sudden burst of light. The Tianhu Lake on the mountaintop reflects the white clouds, creating a wallpaper-worthy scene. In the afternoon, head to Niulanggang Beach. The golden sand meets the azure sea, and stepping on the fine sand is incredibly relaxing. A must-do is the 520-meter glass-bottomed rafting, where you'll scream down to the sea through seven curves – a romantic and thrilling experience. Visit Chaoyin Cave at high tide, where the roar of waves crashing against the rock walls is like a symphony. At low tide, you can collect shells and catch small crabs. In the evening, enjoy the "New Delicious Garden" seafood night stall, where freshly caught shrimp and crabs are stir-fried and served with ice-cold beer. It's a truly delightful experience. Day 3: Natural Pool + She Ethnic Culture The final day is dedicated to Baishuiyang. Summer is absolutely amazing here! The flat rocky riverbed becomes a natural pool, with the water reaching ankles, perfect for both adults and children. Remember to bring a change of clothes! In the afternoon, head to Shangjinbei She Village to savor the sweet black rice, watch the traditional songs and dances of the She people, and experience the unique ethnic customs. Before returning, pack up some "Xiaodongmen Beef Water-Powdered Rice." Two sapphire-like lakes nestle amidst the vast green lawns. Cattle and sheep graze, and seagulls circle in the distance. Rent a tent for the night and gaze at the starry night sky. ✨ In the afternoon, head to Taimu Mountain. Don't let the "climbing" discourage you; the caves are the real draw! To get through the "One Line Sky," you have to walk sideways, and looking up you'll only see a narrow strip of blue sky. The moment you emerge, the view opens up. The "Sky Lake Reflection" at the top of the mountain is incredibly soothing, with the mountains and white clouds reflected in the lake. No photo editing required. Day 3: Natural Swimming Pool + Tea Aroma in the Ancient Village The final day is spent at Baishuiyang. This natural surfing pool is perfect for a little fun! Stepping on the flat rocks, the stream flows ankle-deep. It's a fun experience for both adults and children. Remember to bring a change of clothes. In the afternoon, I headed to Bailin Ancient Street. The bluestone pavement was filled with the aroma of centuries-old tea. I stopped by Tongshuntai Tea House for a cup of Gongfu black tea, watching the sunlight filter through the wooden windows onto the teacup. Time seemed to slow down. 😋 Food List: It's a wasted trip if you don't try it. - Fuding Pork Slices: Chewy and chewy, with a spicy and sour taste that's a local breakfast staple. - Shouning Rice Cakes: Soft glutinous rice filled with fillings, topped with a secret broth for a satisfying meal. - Yellow Croaker: Steamed for its freshest flavor, the fish is so tender it melts in your mouth. - Beef Water-Powdered Beef: A signature dish of a shop over 20 years old, the water-powdered beef is smooth and flavorful.
