Zhang Douhua, not a tourist area but there are still many people at noon. If it's a little later, even the dishes are gone. I ate the last bit of the tofu dregs. The tofu dregs are more chewy, and you can taste the original flavor of alkaline water. It is considered old tofu dregs. The dipping sauce is above average. I prefer the cold white meat and pig intestines and blood soup. The red oil of the cold dishes is very fragrant. The stewed and braised dishes are average.

A few brothers and I went to Heming Mountain Taoist Temple for tea, and on the way, we stopped in Dayi County for a local meal. I've eaten at Zhang Douhua in Yuelai Town many times before; it's a simple, affordable, and rustic restaurant with a taste of home. Six or seven dishes cost just over 100 yuan. Braised meat is a staple in many rural restaurants, requiring it to be flavorful and tender. Douhua is a budget-friendly option, and this place served fried fermented soybeans, which weren't too raw—I don't really like raw fermented soybeans.
