In May, I took my parents to Chaoshan. What you can't miss when you arrive in Chaozhou is the daily morning tea. I called to make an appointment, and the waiter said that morning tea does not accept reservations. There will be queues on weekends. It is recommended that we go on Monday and Tuesday to have fewer people. We happened to arrive in Chaozhou on Sunday, so we chose Monday. There is no bus around, so you must drive there. Parking is very convenient. The hall for morning tea is on the second floor, and the first floor is a private room. We arrived at 8:30. There are indeed not many people. Only one-third of the tables are occupied. Scan the code to order, and the dishes are served quite quickly. For me, the most amazing thing is the chicken soup bean curd roll. After eating bean curd rolls in so many places, this one is really good 👍 tangerine peel beef balls and sauce-flavored money tripe, which are also very authentic. The green mustard and black shrimp dumplings are just so-so for novelty. The beef rice rolls are quite satisfactory. The wolfberry and pork liver porridge was warm when it came up, and the taste was discounted.

Hanjiang River, Hanshanglou, eat morning tea. When you come to Chaozhou, you must have the local morning tea. I stayed at the Linjiang Hotel. I searched and found that the hotel's morning tea is also famous, but I still chose this one. [Smirk] The environment is very good. Although the dishes can also be eaten in Suzhou, I always feel that the taste here is more authentic. [Silly smile]

Han Shang Lou is a famous place for morning tea in Chaozhou. It is located in a small island in the middle of Hanjiang River. Han Shang Lou specializes in Cantonese morning tea, which is actually a little different from Chaoshan dining habits, so locals basically don't come here, only tourists. But there are really many tourists, and the very large space still can't accommodate them. If you come after 8 o'clock, you have to wait for a seat. The dim sum tastes quite authentic, the appearance is also beautiful, and the whole environment is very grand and comfortable. It is worth a visit.

Hanshanglou Hotel is located on an island in the middle of the Han River. There are bridges connecting both sides and it is accessible by car. The hotel has pleasant scenery, excellent scenery and a unique geographical location. The hotel won the Olive Chinese Restaurant Award for "Chaozhou Cuisine Restaurant" in 2020, which is well deserved! The ingredients are fine, the taste is delicious, the appearance is excellent, and the service is thoughtful. It is worth a try!

On the last day of the trip, we had breakfast at this restaurant, which is so famous for its morning tea. So we took a taxi from the hotel. We didn't expect that there were already so many people in the restaurant early in the morning. Some of them looked like they had been eating for a while. How early did they get there? Fortunately, the place was big enough, there were enough tables, and we didn't have to wait for a seat. This was also the best place to eat during our entire trip. This kind of Cantonese morning tea is what we are familiar with, instead of the unremarkable food in the small shabby shops before (although it was also delicious). Of course, the price of the food has also gone up, but overall it's still okay, after all, we were so full that we skipped lunch.
