When traveling to Chaozhou, you must try a Chaoshan restaurant. I happened to see this one. The storefront looked good and the business was very good, so it should be good. I chose the special marinated platter, the signature dish shrimp pomegranate balls, a mango fish cake with fruit as a dish, and the main dish was rice cake. The overall taste was very satisfying, refreshing, and the seasoning did not overwhelm the original taste of the ingredients. The pomegranate balls were so beautifully made, highly recommended.

It costs ten yuan each and is absolutely worth the money. The shrimp balls are soaked in a small plate filled with broth, wrapped in layers of thin skin, and the fillings inside are very sufficient, with big shrimps, bamboo shoots and carrots, etc., which are fresh and refreshing. "Chaozhou Beef Ball Soup" I have eaten too many beef balls in Chaozhou. This dish of theirs can only be said to be neither good nor bad, so there is no need to order it specifically. "Goose Meat Platter" is recommended! The two girls shared a small goose platter and were still not satisfied.

Chaoshanlou is located in the center of Paifang Street, just a few steps away from Yuan Temple and Guangji Bridge, with convenient transportation. The second floor of the restaurant is decorated in an antique style and has comfortable private rooms. You can see the ancient city through the window, and the ventilation and scenery are good. The boss is a Chaozhou native, and he produces many dishes, including classic Chaozhou dishes and innovative dishes, and the ingredients are very fresh. The store is not expensive and takes a civilian route. Many locals will come here to entertain friends from other places.

The boss's restaurant and inn are both in very good locations. "Kapok Mansion" is right next to the city tower and has a sky garden with a river view. The restaurant is located on Guangjimen Street in the center of Paifang Street. After dinner, you can walk to watch the "Guangji Bridge" light show. The environment is also good. The food tastes great. The chestnut chicken tastes very good, but the portion of some dishes is not very large. The service is also good.
