I am a member of Balang Home Cooking. In the past few years, family gatherings and receptions of friends have basically been held in this restaurant. This restaurant serves authentic Xinjiang local dishes, with a full range of varieties and very good taste. The environment is also good, and the service is thoughtful, meticulous and enthusiastic.

Departing from Urumqi and after an hour of shopping, we finally arrived at the legendary Tianshan Tianchi Lake. I highly recommend the &quot;Shimen Yixian&quot; canyon! Glacial meltwater flows through the cliffs on both sides. The tour guide said the Queen Mother of the West once bathed her feet here (no wonder it&#39;s called the &quot;Longtan Biyue&quot; bathtub 😂).

Bogda Peak&#39;s reflection cascades into the turquoise waters of the lake, and the western wooden plank road offers exclusive, uninhabited views. Tianchi Lake&#39;s weather is unpredictable: sunny one moment, dark clouds the next. But the scenery is truly stunning. On the way down, I caught a glimpse of a signpost for the &quot;Running Man&quot; filming location&mdash;no wonder they chose this spot for the chase scene; the vastness of the landscape is incredible!

It was my first time to Xinjiang and my first time to eat a full meal in Xinjiang. A local friend from Changji came to a Huanyu restaurant called Xiyu Nayi. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was shocked by the rich Western scenery in the restaurant. The waiters in the restaurant were all from ethnic minorities, but they spoke Chinese very well, so there was no problem ordering and communicating with them.
We ordered three cold dishes: Xinjiang tiger dish, sesame mulberry sprouts, and Kashgar jelly, thin-skinned steamed buns as staple food, and hot dishes: braised pancakes with pickled vegetables and native chicken, roasted lamb legs with Tacheng puff pastry bread, original roasted fish from Hotan, and Xinjiang hand-pulled meat. We drank Yili Xiaojiao. The last three hot dishes were very delicious, and the wine was also very soft. It was a hearty Xinjiang meal.
