Duyichu Shaomai Restaurant opened in the third year of Emperor Qianlong's reign (1738). The founder was surnamed Wang, originally from Shanxi. It was originally a small hotel with a tent, located east of Qianmenwai Street and south of Xianyukou. After making money, a small building with a storefront was built in the seventh year of Emperor Qianlong's reign (1742). The varieties of food sold include boiled peanuts, rose dates, horse lotus meat, dried meat and other side dishes. In the seventeenth year of Emperor Qianlong's reign, it became famous because the emperor gave it a name and a "tiger head" plaque.

Du Yi Chu is a golden signboard. It is said that the emperor gave the name and plaque. Later, Guo Moruo wrote the plaque of Du Yi Chu himself. Du Yi Chu Shao Mai is characterized by thin skin and not dry stuffing. The lace is very tempting, and it is a perfect match with a bowl of porridge. This Qianmen restaurant is very authentic. There are not many diners in the morning, and the meals provided are a bit monotonous. However, many tourists come here for dinner and have to queue up for a seat.
Located at the north end of Qianmen Street in Beijing, across from Dashilan Commercial Street, and next door to another time-honored brand, Wonton Hou, it was first built in 1738, the third year of Emperor Qianlong's reign, which is almost three hundred years ago.
After many years, I came to this place again to taste the siu mai in Du Yi Chu. The Qianlong cabbage was sweet and sour and delicious (it seemed that the portion was smaller than before). I couldn't tell what the fried sausage was made of. Each 18 yuan fried triangle was not much better than the chive box in our Northeast. The three-fresh siu mai had a thin skin and a large filling. I strongly recommend the Qianlong cabbage. Other dishes are optional.
Duyichu Shaomai Restaurant opened in the third year of Emperor Qianlong's reign (1738). The founder was surnamed Wang and was originally from Shanxi. It was originally a small hotel with a shed, located east of Qianmenwai Street and south of Xianyukou. After making money, a small building with a storefront was built in the seventh year of Emperor Qianlong's reign (1742). The varieties of food sold include boiled peanuts, rose dates, horse lotus meat, dried meat and other side dishes. In the seventeenth year of Emperor Qianlong's reign, it became famous because of the emperor's bestowal of the name and a "tiger head" plaque. During the Tongzhi period, shaomai was added, which is not only characterized by thin skin and full fillings, but also excellent taste. During the Anti-Japanese War, although Duyichu was spared from bankruptcy, its business was always sluggish. It was not until the liberation of Beijing that it was reborn. Duyichu Shaomai Restaurant is located at No. 36, East of Qianmen Street, Beijing, a prosperous place. It has a history of nearly 400 years and mainly sells various shaomai, fried triangles, horse lotus meat and Shandong-style stir-fried dishes. A basket of shaomai contains 8 pieces, and a plate of mustard dumplings.
This Du Yi Chu in Qianmen is a siu mai shop. The street in front is full of newly renovated shops and a lot of old-fashioned food restaurants. When I got tired of walking in the street in front, I saw Du Yi Chu siu mai. I bought mutton and beef, as well as fried sausage. Hmm, it was authentic. As for the price, hehe
I have been to Beijing four times, and this is my second time to check in at Duyichu. The first time was at the Qianmen Street store. I didn't feel experienced at that time. This time I went to the Duyichu next to the South Gate of the Temple of Heaven. The taste was very good. I ordered mixed siu mai and pork siu mai, 9 large ones and 3 small ones. The soy sauce for broccoli was delicious, like the steamed fish soy sauce in Guangzhou. I also ordered Old Beijing yogurt, which was sweeter. The price was okay. I didn't see any group purchases at first. There were more discounts with group purchases. I came during the Spring Festival and my temperature was measured when I entered the door to eat.
