I went to a Sichuan restaurant on Tongzhi Street after hearing a friend's recommendation. It's called Fa Ji Sichuan Big Basin Fish. Since it's called Sichuan Big Basin Fish, you'd think it only serves Sichuan cuisine, but they also serve Northeastern cuisine, and it's very authentic, and I think it tastes better than their signature Sichuan cuisine. I recommend the Big Basin Beef, Saliva Chicken, and Big Basin Black Fish, all of which are classics that you'll want to eat again.

It can be called a magical restaurant. Most people would not want to come in after seeing the appearance. The small house is undecorated but there is a long queue at mealtime. The specialty is the large pot of fish, with grass carp, black carp and catfish to choose from. The pot has duck blood and enoki mushrooms as side dishes. It seems like a comprehensive and enhanced version of Maoxuewang and boiled fish. Other Sichuan dishes are also delicious but don't expect good service attitude.

A magical shop, no promotion, no take-out, because too busy, ordered mouth-watering chicken, big pot beef, yellow throat, fried mushrooms. The mouth-watering chicken needs to be ordered in advance, the taste is very authentic, Sichuan salty and spicy. The big pot beef is a bit spicy and salty, people who can't eat spicy food should choose carefully. It's a small shop, basically if there are no customers at 8:30, they will prepare to close.
