Bistro Moncur

In the center of Sydney, there is a high-end French restaurant called Bistro Moncur. The restaurant is located near the subway station and it only takes about ten minutes’ walk to find the restaurant after getting off the subway.

Good taste, good service, large portion, my family likes it

I don’t really want to write this review because I want to keep Bistro Moncur for myself! We dined here probably 30 years ago - it did not disappoint then and it certainly doesn’t now either. This is not a cheap night out, but the quality of the food, service and atmosphere makes every cent worthwhile - what a gem.

We are locals and tend to use Bistro Moncur as our go-to local. I am a fish eater and quite often order the barramundi which is usually a clean fresh no fuss dish. Tonight, it was messy, buried in potato and some unidentifiable vegetable - very disappointing.
