M&G Cafe and Bar

This restaurant is located in the Star Hotel. Because of its long business hours, there are always many diners. Bread is provided for breakfast, Western fast food for lunch, hamburgers and drinks in the evening, and coffee is available all day. We mostly eat breakfast, which is a basic Western breakfast with good quality and taste.

Got some credits left in our star gift card, so decided to give the “TEA FOR TWO” a go here. The tea set included carrot cake, mud cake, signature doughnut, scones, mixed sandwiches and one standard tea or coffee per person. We both had a flat white. The coffee was nice but not hot enough. The coffee came much earlier than the food as we had to wait for 25 minutes. The sandwiches, scones and cakes were placed nicely on a. The sandwich bread was very dry and the filling also not looked very fresh. The taste was just ok. Then we had the scones which was really good, warm and soft. The carrot cake and mud cake were not bad but the signature doughnut was pretty ordinary as it’s a bit hard, didn’t look fresh at all.
