"I really enjoyed Villa Henri Matisse.
Everything was exactly as pictured – new, with a comfortable and pleasant renovation and furnishings. The pool was warm and the sauna hot. There were plenty of robes and towels for the beach, water park, and villa, as well as blankets for cooler weather. The atmosphere was cozy, and the fire pit area was a special treat, being recessed to retain warmth.
Upon check-in, we received a complimentary fruit basket, along with charcoal, kindling, and firewood for one use. Additional supplies could be purchased separately.
Cooking is only possible outdoors on the grill; inside the house, there's only a microwave, nothing else for cooking.
The villa has three separate bedrooms plus a living room and a kitchen area with a large table. It was comfortable and beautiful.
The staff were excellent. They moved us from a room to the villa without a two-hour wait and were attentive and courteous. The service was top-notch.
Now for the downsides – these didn't affect my overall rating or lower my score, but they should be addressed:
1. The dishwasher was locked – this is the first time I've encountered something like this, and I don't understand the reason. I don't want to wash dishes by hand on vacation, everyone knows how to use a dishwasher, and it's not difficult. Calling staff every three hours seems pointless.
2. There's nowhere to cook. This wouldn't be a problem if there was a restaurant with delivery. Unfortunately, the menu here only had a few dishes; I couldn't find anything I liked. There was no fish at all, not even one type, and I don't eat meat.
3. Cameras – this is the most significant drawback. It's unpleasant to feel like you're being watched. Villas are about privacy. The explanation that it's for security reasons is unconvincing. Everyone can sign a document agreeing to responsibility and pool rules...
Overall, you can have a very good rest here. I wish them prosperity and success."
