"I got what I came for so I’m a satisfied customer. I visited in rainy season and got a dry spell and the view is great and a nice breeze.
Buffer breakfast was decent and was changed each day. The staff were always friendly.
Negatives. The reviews I read were accurate the walls are thin. On Saturday morning I was out from 4am to 11am and the room was not turned over but I suppose I didn’t hang a sign. The hotel is not that big, so the gym is limited but functional. The pool is not heated but again the view."

"The room was a bit small, and there was a lot of noise from other guests in the morning, especially door slamming. Breakfast was mediocre. However, the security and service were good, making it suitable for a short business trip. For the Taytay area, this is considered a relatively good hotel. Philippine hotels generally don't offer great value for money, and this one doesn't even reach the standard of a Home Inn in China."

"As soon as we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the guard, who promptly informed the front desk of our arrival. He clearly directed us to the reception area and kindly reminded us to be careful while going down the long staircase, very efficient and friendly service.
The front desk staff were professional and polite. They even offered to extend our check-out time to 2 PM so we could better enjoy our stay, especially since we arrived around 6 PM. We truly appreciated this thoughtful gesture as we were celebrating my birthday.
The food was excellent. The lechon kawali was a standout, perfectly crispy and juicy. The halaan soup tasted comforting and homey, and the fish fillet was crisp on the outside while tender and flavorful inside. The sandwich was also good.
The view is absolutely stunning, with a breathtaking sunset. Our room was spacious and even had a balcony, which we loved.
The only downside was the pool, which is quite small and can get crowded if everyone decides to swim. The Water pressure in the bathroom in our room is weak we had a hard time showering and flushing the toilet.
Additionally, the staff at the water activities area were not very accommodating. Although kayak and snorkeling equipment are complimentary, they seemed uninterested in assisting us. We noticed they were more attentive to foreign guests, and we hope the staff can provide equal service to all guests in the future.
Overall, it was a lovely stay with just a few areas for improvement."

"I booked a Super King Room at Taal Vista Hotel expecting a proper 5-star experience, but unfortunately, the service was disappointing.
Upon arrival, we waited around 10–15 minutes at the lobby even without a long line. After check-in, nobody assisted us going to our room. The staff only gave directions and did not offer help with our luggage, causing us to get lost looking for our room. We also tried calling for assistance by dialing 4 several times, but nobody answered.
In the end, we had to move our car closer to the building ourselves because the parking area was far from the room. There were also no complimentary welcome drinks or even bottled water despite the expensive room rates.
I understand that our room was in the older building, but the price certainly is not “old.” Compared to other 5-star hotels like Conrad Manila, where staff assist guests immediately and provide much better hospitality, the difference in service is very noticeable.
The view and ambiance are nice, but the customer service definitely needs improvement to match its 5-star reputation."

AAnonymous UserThe beach was nice - the sand was smooth and not rocky, the waves are a bit chill. Hence, kid-friendly. Facilities and amenities are nice tho a bit old aready. Since the pool was big, we were able to swim in the pool even though it’s peak season and many people. Morning jog at the lagoon was good as well. We also played billiards and bowling. It’s just sad that the kids playroom was under renovation. It could’ve been a pretty good experience overall.

The bathroom plug is not working as well once I plug it in, its so hard to pull it out. We always asked our room to be clean but it seemed they just tidy up the beddings but not really changed it. Also, my sister slipped om the wet floor right after she step out of the elevator and there was no safety sign that the floor was wet. But the receptionist is brilliant !

YYengBWe had a comfortable and enjoyable stay at this hotel. The room was clean, well maintained, and the beds were very comfortable, allowing us to rest well throughout our stay. One thing we particularly loved was the hotel's pleasant scent. The lobby and common areas always smelled fresh and inviting, creating a great first impression.
The location is very convenient, with several restaurants and dining options within the area. There is also ample parking available for guests with private vehicles.
For those without a car, transportation is easily accessible, making it convenient to get around.
One thing future guests should be aware of is the ₱2,000 security deposit per room, which is cash only. It would be helpful if this requirement were clearly communicated during the booking process to avoid surprises upon check in.
The main area for improvement is the breakfast experience. The dining area is quite limited for the number of guests, especially during busy periods, and the food selection could be expanded. The hotel should consider implementing a better system for managing guests during breakfast hours to minimize waiting and crowding. On weekends, opening a function room as an additional breakfast area could be a practical solution to accommodate more guests and improve the overall dining experience.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend the hotel for its cleanliness, comfort, accessibility, and convenient location. With some improvements to breakfast operations and clearer communication regarding the security deposit, the guest experience would be even better.

GGuest UserThe room, amenities, hotel ambiance, and service at Via Appia Hotel are great. The staff are friendly, and the place is very comfortable.
The only issue I experienced was with the bathroom heater and hot water. The heater initially wasn’t working, so I called for it to be fixed. The technician came. Tried to fix it and said it was working now. However, when it was time to shower before checkout, the hot water in the bathroom only lasted for a few seconds before turning cold again. I had to turn the water off and on repeatedly to get hot water for short periods. This can be quite inconvenient, especially since the hotel is in Tagaytay, where the weather is very cold.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but improving the hot water system would make the experience much better.

GGerard MedinaThe room is quite spacious for its price, I had a great view of the citry on the 23rd floor. The area is well-maintained, the staffs are friendly and very helpful. It has a very peaceful and calm atmosphere, perfect for morning walks and jogging. The clubhouse is huge and packed with many facilities and outdoor activities. The whole property is right in the middle of major hotspots if Tagaytay such as the Skyranch, Mahogany market, famous restaurants overlooking the Taal lake such as Bag of Beans, Rosario, and Starbucks. It's perfect for all kinds of travellers.

This was my third visit, and it has truly become my ”go-to” sanctuary in Batangas whenever I need to relax and de-stress. My post-birthday celebration was just as perfect as I hoped it would be.
What keeps me coming back is the consistently high standard of service. Your employees are not only the epitome of professionalism but are also incredibly kind and thoughtful. A special thank you to Ms. Cess for always accommodating me so warmly—your dedication is a huge part of why the service here is so exceptional.
I also have to mention the dining—the food is consistently on cue and sobrang sarap! I’m already looking forward to my next breakfast there.
While the pool area remains the ultimate stress reliever for me, I have two small suggestions: it would be amazing to have a jacuzzi installed in the future, and perhaps a more discreet entrance/exit to the pool area, as walking through the restaurant to get there can feel a bit awkward!
Overall, this remains the best hotel experience I’ve had so far. Thank you for making my birthday celebration so memorable. I will definitely be back soon and will continue to recommend you to all my friends and family!
