"Overall summary: Incredible value for money, highly recommended! Location: Facing the Indian Ocean, the lobby, breakfast room, guest rooms, rooftop bar, and swimming pool all offer unobstructed, direct ocean views. The train station right opposite the hotel is one stop before Colombo Fort Station. Express trains don't stop here, so you'll need to take a quick, inexpensive taxi from the main station, but it's a very short ride. If you love photographing trains and the ocean, you can capture great shots right from the hotel. Room & Amenities: The room facilities are decent. The bathroom faces the Indian Ocean directly, and there are USB ports by the bed, so no adapter is needed for the power outlets. Dining: The breakfast spread is very generous. If you have time, I recommend setting aside an hour to leisurely enjoy your breakfast while looking out at the Indian Ocean. Surroundings: There is a famous local ice cream shop just a 3-minute walk behind the hotel. It's also a very short taxi ride to One Galle Face Mall."

"The staff made me feel so welcome and nothing was too much - even accommodating my dietary requirements as much as possible. They really helped make my travel easy and comfortable. The pool area is lovely and relaxing, rooms are basic, but clean and it’s ideal for the airport or as place to stay before onward travel :) there’s also a rooftop bar for sunset!"

"I stayed in a premier king suite which was so affordable. The room was bright, white and really pretty with a nice partial ocean view with balcony. Had a great bathtub aswell and the drinks in the mini bar were included for free. ( a few softdrinks ). The location of the hotel was directly opposite tge beach abd attached to Marino mall which was fantastic as it has some good shops, food places abd even a virtual reality arcade style place. There is a fantastic foot massage place at the base of the travellator which is an extension if the hotels main spa upstairs but its so affordable. I had 3 foot massages there and it was always consistently great. The buffet breakfast was varied with really good food both western and Sri lankan with included cappuccino style coffee for no added charge upon request. Lots of beautiful different fruit variety's, finally had a pink banana and pink pomelo! The staff were courteous and friendly and they took safety seriously as everyone must put their bags and person through screening going into the hotel and your keycard was required to get to your room floor. A great bonus is the 3 hr complimentary city tour on an air-conditioned tour bus.i was hesitant thinking it might be a waste of time but it was actually really good to get oriented with the city and to stop and go through the museum and temple. They cover any entrance fees for you so I would definitely recommend going. The on-site spa Waa extremely good and the infinity pool upstairs was absolutely stunning. There are,a few separate jacuzzi spas separate aswell. 3 on-site restaurants are there though I didn't try them meant you were spoilt for choice. Can't recommend this hotel enough. I would definitely come and stay here again. It's such good value."

"I was looking for a beachfront hotel and chose this one, and it was absolutely the right decision! The pool is right in front of the ocean, which is lovely both morning and evening. You can also see beautiful sunsets. The room has a bathtub, and the hot water works perfectly. The air conditioning can be a bit tricky to adjust, and since it's an older hotel, the lock is a bit stiff, but these weren't major issues for me. It's a historic hotel in Sri Lanka, and all the staff are very pleasant. To be able to stay here for this price is a great deal. I'd love to come back!"

"We stayed at the Colombo International Airport Hotel and found the rooms to be new and quite nice, making for a generally pleasant overnight stop. The property itself feels modern and well maintained. However, there were some operational issues that affected the experience. We tried to arrange an airport pickup in advance, as our flight was arriving late, but the email responses were inconsistent and slow, and we ultimately couldn’t get the transfer organized. On arrival at around 11:30 pm, the check‑in process took more than 30 minutes, which felt unnecessarily long for a transit hotel; this could definitely be made more efficient. Breakfast food options were also quite limited, with little variety compared to similar airport hotels. Overall, a good choice if you need a modern room near the airport, but expect to sort your own transport and allow extra time at check‑in."

"Amazing hotel with world class hospitality. Our 7 day stay was comfortable, exciting and enjoyable. Staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful. They went an extra mile to make our stay memorable and special. Food was exceptionally delicious at India, Yoroko, Sapphire Dragon, Quizine and Sweet Lab. Over all the stay at this hotel exceeded my expectations and I would happily stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable experience."

"The sunset from the rooftop was absolutely stunning. The breakfast spread was incredibly diverse, almost overwhelming with choices. If you're on a higher floor, I imagine the room views would be great. For those looking for a hotel stay, I'd recommend opting for the ocean view side, even if it's a bit pricier. The city view is also lovely, with sights like the Lotus Tower. Honestly, having stayed in many five-star hotels, I felt there's room for improvement in their hospitality. For instance, at breakfast, a server spilled juice on my leg while clearing the table next to me. They apologized immediately and said they'd bring napkins. However, several minutes passed, and they unbelievably started setting the adjacent table first and seated new guests. Those guests also seemed confused by the wet floor. I had to ask a different server for napkins before they finally brought them. Regarding cleanliness, the drain in the shower clogged when I took the first shower, and the water wouldn't go down. Housekeeping promptly cleaned it, but I feel this should have been taken care of before check-in. Also, there were some mysterious stains on the towels, which I think should be replaced more regularly. Other than that, the clientele staying at the hotel seemed pleasant, and my stay was comfortable. The only place to plug in Japanese appliances was in the bathroom, so a travel adapter is essential."

"Very friendly staff. It was just an OK stay. The room was a bit run down, common areas were very nice though. The ceiling fan was very noisy because it wasn't really mounted well. It did have a nice restaurant and spa facilities. Two pools were great and the clean beach access was the best. Having a gym was a pleasant surprise. There was a block wide power outage due to power line upgrade and I was grateful they had a generator to keep things going for 8+hours of having no power elsewhere. I personally probably would not want to stay here again."

"Mixed feelings We had quite a mixed impression of the hotel. There are definitely some very good things about it, but unfortunately, we experienced several issues that we did not expect from a hotel of this level. Strong points: 🌊 Relaxing ocean view. If you stay here, I would definitely recommend booking a room with a sea view - it is one of the best features of the hotel. 🛏 Extremely comfortable bed. After five months of travelling around Asia, this was one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in. The mattress and pillows were excellent. 👧 Very attentive reception service. Even though we arrived late at night, the reception team quickly arranged an extra bed for our daughter. We really appreciated how quickly and thoughtfully they handled this after our late arrival. 😊 Friendly and caring staff. I especially want to mention the lovely lady who asked for our feedback at checkout. She was very attentive, kind, and genuinely apologetic about the issues we experienced. Because of her attitude and the way she handled our feedback, I’m adding one extra star to my rating. Weak points: We checked in late at night after an 8-hour flight and found a small insect in the bed. It was particularly unpleasant after such a long journey, we had to change rooms. Our main concerns were related to the housekeeping service on the 11th floor. We stayed in room 1107, and unfortunately, there were several things that could have been handled better. Unfortunately, around midnight, we were woken up by loud conversations outside our door, apparently by members of the staff. Shortly afterwards, the housekeeping staff started vacuuming the room next door and moving furniture around - at night. After a long flight, we simply wanted to sleep peacefully, especially as we were only staying for two nights. This was quite unpleasant and, in our opinion, could easily have been avoided. There were no slippers in our room, which was surprising. We did notice slippers in the housekeeping area, so perhaps they were simply forgotten. There were no hand or face towels in the bathroom - only large bath towels. This seemed quite unusual for a hotel of this standard, and it is not particularly comfortable to use the same towel for your face and feet. The bathroom lighting was also very dim, making it difficult to get ready properly and do my makeup."
