Termini Central Station
The hotel is 2 minutes walk, very close to the main trains station Roma Termini. Surrounded by restaurants, there are also bountiful of shops and a conad supermarket in the Station Termini. Bus and metro are also super convenient, metro station just in termini, bus stops are all around. The rooms are clean and not small. The concierge has good English and nice attitude.

Everything else was good, but the breakfast was so bad. It had old odd empty croissants and eggs which were one day with bacon and the other with sausage. One day there was literally nothing left for breakfast… everyone was disappointed.

As part of our ongoing Europe trip, I stayed with my aunt and my friend for 4 nights; we booked 2 rooms, our bed looked like a double but was 2 single joined so it was great for me and my aunt as we separated the beds. The hotel had good amenities - private bathroom was huge although for some reason the lights would just turn off randomly? I don't know if it was just our room or everyone else's. The swimming pool is only opened in the summer!! so it was closed for us, which was sad. The staff was really nice and they gave us extra blankets, coffee machine and a kettle when we asked for it! Really appreciated their help and trust me there was so many large groups always arriving at this hotel so they were doing amazing. We paid for dinner once and a breakfast. Dinner was hit or miss - I loved my Chicken salad, but the others weren't impressed with the burgers they had but breakfast was definitely better. I think the star was the beans because wow they were good. The only major cons about the stay was that our room was located right next to the elevator (same as Florence) and it was noisy all morning and late at night, plus some construction at like 8am ish so please if you can, ask for a faraway room! Also the distance from the city centre was quite tiring, yes it is only 23 mins metro from the Torre Angela station but an 11 mins walk from the station to the hotel and with our suitcases and the station exit not having any elevators, it was hard work. To get to the hotel side, you need to first go down the stairs, then up the stairs and go down again so if you are walking from the station to the hotel, be prepared!

Pantheon
I LOVED my stay at Hotel Monte Cenci. I was choosing between 2 hotels and I am sooo glad I went with Monte Cenci! It really made my trip. First of all, the location is perfect. It is tucked away on a quiet side street, walkable distance to some famous sights such as Pantheon, Trevi Fountain etc, but also right across the river from hipper neighborhoods like Trastevare. The hotel was extremely clean and comfortable, it was such a treat to come home to the beautiful room in between sightseeing and to be able to rest comfortably. The AC was perfect, the bedding was perfect, bathroom/ bathtub beautiful. And to top it all off, the staff at the hotel were just amazing. Every request of mine was met easily and happily - and even with more difficult requests, they were able to go above and beyond to help me. In a casual conversation with Paolo, the manager, he gave us his personal recommendation for his favorite Amatriciana, Rome's specialty and even helped us book a table last minute! I also had misplaced a necklace at the hotel and they were really helpful in locating it and updating me after my stay. The staff really showed that they cared about their guests before, during and after the stay and for that I am so grateful. It really felt like a home away from home and I cannot wait to come back to Rome just to stay here again. It really made my trip and I miss it so much! The breakfast on the rooftop was also a nice touch!!! My only complaint is that sound insulation wasn't great, and we had some noisy neighbors that slammed their doors quite hard in the morning. But not the hotel's fault at all.

I loved everything about my stay here. All the staff were welcoming and eager to help. They remember your name and make you feel very comfortable during your visit. They breakfast had plenty of options. They have a nice lounge area where you can relax after a long day out.
The Hive Hotel

A fantastic location. In walking distance of the Trevi fountain and the colosseum. Also very close to a nice selection of restaurants and convenience shops. The WiFi was ok. It sometimes very briefly dropped out. The shower was a bit weird as it would cycle through cold, warm, and hot. The A/c was ok. We had it on 19 and it kept the room an ok temperature. In Rome A/C in hotels is often bad so this was probably better than most. The staff were excellent! Often hotel staff in Rome can be a bit sullen and not so helpful but the staff at the Hive were excellent and very helpful. They gave us a late checkout as we needed time before our flight. The restaurant on the roof is gourmet so it is more expensive than other restaurants nearby BUT you get some beautiful food. If you ask at reception they may have a 20% discount voucher for hotel guests.

Appio Latino
Location: 20 min walk to colosseum. It’s an uphill walk which is annoying but fine. There are restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The area is in a quiet location and seems safe. Room: We booked a standard double room and the room itself is fine. The AC is good, the cleaning was good, the fridge was useful. No kettle in the room though Bed was too soft for me, I felt as if I was sinking. It was just two beds pushed together to make a double, so you can feel the gap in the middle But room is clean and modern and has plug sockets for your items Bathroom: Good size. The shower cubicle is large and has overhead rainfall head along with a handheld shower head. Good pressure. Good temperature control Towels provided daily. But the hairdryer is lacking in power. A common theme in most hotels Breakfast: Pretty decent. Pastries, cake, cereal, yogurt, tea, coffee, water, fruit juices, bread, cheese, hot items include eggs, bacon. The staff there are super quick to clear up tables. It’s good way to start the day and it’s in the hotel itself so you don’t need to venture out. Overall: Because it’s modern, the rooms are slightly larger 20+sqM compared to many Europe hotel rooms (11-18sqM) and the location is acceptable, it’s not close to the city centre, but a 20min walk is reasonable. The bed was bad for me. So overall, it would not be an automatic choice to return if coming to Rome again, however, if the price is good then the location, cleanliness, breakfast all make up for the bed.

The Hotel is excellent for rome. It is well located near the railway station.the breakfast is a continental one but what they offer is of a very high standard. The hotel was very clean The room was good and bigger than what I was expecting. Rome hotel rooms are very small so don't expect a large room. A very easy place too stay
