"Stayed for 3 days / 4 nights…could have stayed for another week, or two. Common areas were absolutely gorgeous and welcoming. The garden and grounds were breathtaking as well. Although it is a country club, daily golfers as well as hotel guests utilizing the courses were not as overbearing as I would have thought. Since I booked this particular hotel for peace, relaxation, and beauty, I was afraid the shared spaces may become overrun by golfers and country club member. However, there was enough communal space, that it felt as though my dad and I were sharing the space with maybe a dozen other people (including staff). My only complaints would be over a (repetitively) clogging toilet, and subsequent flooding of the bathroom and carpeted hallway beyond. Other than that hiccup, I wish I had several days to utilize more amenities, and familiari myself with the layout and grounds more thoroughly. However, it was my first time in Edinburgh, it was in the middle of THE FRINGE FESTIVAL, and I only had 3 days to see “everything,” and therefore needed to ration my time wisely. Still. I did manage to take some photos and video of my room and the grounds. Overall this was the best hotel stay that I have had…ever."
