"I chose this hotel for my trip to Wenzhou this time, and the overall stay far exceeded my expectations. The location is excellent; I could walk to Wuma Street, making it super convenient for shopping and trying local snacks. It’s quiet despite being in a bustling area, so sleeping at night was peaceful.
Check-in was very efficient, and the front desk staff were gentle and polite, responding quickly to any questions. The room was spotlessly clean with no strange odors. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the mattress had just the right firmness, making it incredibly relaxing after a long day of exploring. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, plenty of hot water, and a full set of toiletries.
The hotel environment was tidy, and the public areas were well-maintained. Overall, the value for money is great, and staying here made my trip very easy and stress-free. I highly recommend it for both tourists and those on short trips, and I'll definitely choose it again next time I visit Wenzhou!"

"The environment is quiet and the activities are abundant. The mountain air is great, and there are golf carts to take you anywhere within the valley. This time, the pre-sale package included dining, spa, and a travel photoshoot, making it even more comprehensive and cost-effective. The room was spacious, and with the 3-day, 2-night package, you essentially didn't need any extra expenses to have a great time eating, drinking, and playing. The New Rui travel photography was also excellent; it was efficient, unlike the rushed schedules you find in city photoshoots. Outdoor natural light photography creates a different effect than indoor lighting, leading to more natural interactions. If you're driving, you can also visit Naked Castle for free. Although the Land Rover off-road experience for the entire route is charged, it's a very special experience and I personally think it's well worth it. The three days and two nights were very fulfilling, and the weather in September and October was also good. If there's a similar package next time, I'll definitely come again."

A ride-hailing car costs around 48-50 RMB, and a taxi is about 90 RMB...

Everything is in good working order. The hotel excels at family-friendly activities (though it's also great for business and leisure getaways). The lobby features a vertical musical fountain installation, complete with a musical fountain and water screen show...

(1) The breakfast is rich and diverse. There's also a fantastic Chinese restaurant and a cozy executive lounge café with a great view (it's a top-notch spot for watching the water screen show)...
(2) There are plenty of activities. Depending on your age group, you can head to the ”Big Fish Pond” to feed the fish, do some light hiking/exercising on the back mountain, or check out the tour desk...
(3) It's very convenient to go to ”Fish Street” and ”Huguangli” for fish dinners. Note: I personally prefer dining at ”Huguangli”...
(4) The hotel's customer service responds promptly—they are at your beck and call and handle all kinds of issues efficiently...
(5) The guest rooms are sufficiently large and spacious, and the children's facilities are reasonably equipped...

The hotel's swimming pool had crystal clear water, and there were also two small hot spring pools nearby perfect for relaxation. My only minor feedback is that some small fixtures in the room were loose, so I'd suggest the hotel's engineering department regularly inspect and maintain the rooms. Overall, my expectations were met, and I even managed to capture a stunning sunrise over Mount Putuo in the East China Sea from my balcony in the early morning."

"A highly recommended hotel with a rich breakfast. It would be even better if the orange juice was freshly squeezed. The lake view room was a good size, and the bedding was excellent, though being on the 3rd floor meant the view was obscured by trees. The hotel service was fantastic. During our stay, a delivery order was mistakenly taken by another guest. We were ready to reorder ourselves, but the hotel immediately compensated us. Special thanks to a kind gentleman with glasses whose service was truly outstanding. We will definitely be back. My only suggestions would be to make the scent in the hallways a bit lighter as it was quite strong, and the stickers on the elevator doors and switches looked a bit cheap, possibly due to unhygienic guests when it's busy."

Ailvxingdexiaocaomei88I stayed in a mountain view room, and the hotel package I bought was incredibly good value. It included a buffet dinner for two, where we had hairy crabs and lots of seafood – I might have eaten a bit too much, haha.
The breakfast buffet was also very generous, with excellent pastries and delicious freshly made 'shou zhua bing' (hand-grabbed pancakes). The beef noodles were good too.
Getting around was super convenient, with a bus stop right outside the hotel. I went to Lingyin Temple early in the morning and then to West Lake in the evening – a fantastic experience!

KalutelelidiyaThis hotel used to be an InterContinental (perhaps a benchmark in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai region), but after the InterContinental brand pulled out, the owner operated it independently under the name 'Free InterContinental Palace'.
After the InterContinental de-branding, the hotel significantly increased its recreational activities, adding tennis courts, sound healing, and more.
Among the resort hotels in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai area, places like the Xihu State Guest House and Fuchun Resort are quite large, but this hotel's actual scale is even more astonishing. Besides the hotel's own area, the entire Xianshan Peninsula is essentially its public space: in early summer, there are bayberry orchards, and in autumn, the mountains are covered with tangerine trees. You can hike to the top of the back mountain (about 2-3 km), and there's a hidden small 'canyon' in the mountains. If you don't want to dine at the hotel, there's a 'farmhouse restaurant' next door (Xianshan Restaurant). A few hundred meters from the entrance is the lighthouse area, which used to be a pebble beach and has now been converted into a coffee shop/bar.
As for the hotel's own hardware, it's roughly on par with the international resort hotels in Yalong Bay around 2010-2012 (Qiandao Lake InterContinental/Hilton/Sheraton all opened around the same time). It's very well-maintained, old but not dilapidated. Compared to the minimalist, trendy new hotels of the past two years, hotels from this period have much more character.
Most people come to Qiandao Lake to escape the summer heat, but October-November is when Xianshan Peninsula is at its most beautiful. The tangerines are ripe, the lake water is exceptionally blue on crisp, clear days, and by November, a few ginkgo trees in the hotel turn golden.
This hotel also has some special advantages: for example, breakfast is served until 11 AM and includes a dedicated children's dining area. From 9 PM to 11 PM, there's a late-night canteen offering various snacks and instant noodles from all over the world (literally every type of noodle from everywhere!). The concierge team's service is also very attentive and prompt.
What can I say? Perfect weather, perfect hotel – 100 out of 10 points! 🥰

BulangxiongbuzaijiaThe hotel's location is excellent, with Hankyu Department Store and Cultural Plaza nearby, making it convenient for dining and shopping.
The service was also top-notch. The butler communicated proactively, and handling issues at night during our stay was exceptional. The front desk staff were also very competent, and colleagues were helping each other out, creating a great atmosphere.
Breakfast was standard, and it was quite crowded during the National Day holiday.
All necessary facilities were available, and the bedding was comfortable.
The major drawback was the severe mosquito and insect problem. We didn't open the windows at all after entering the room, but my child was bitten seven times at night, which severely affected our rest. Such an issue is unacceptable in a 5-diamond hotel in an economically developed city. I've stayed in many old Xiangji and old state guesthouses in China, and never encountered similar problems, so it shouldn't be due to aging hardware.
Other areas for improvement include the air conditioner's vibration noise and the detached waterproof strip in the bathroom. However, these might be specific to our room, but unfortunately, we experienced them.
Also, the sink faucet was too short, which is a poorly designed feature.

This place is designed for the 'gram, not the 3000 RMB/night experience. The room is beautiful, you've seen that already, but here's my genuine experience that I hope helps set your expectations.
Overall, bare minimum service. There is no proper front desk reception, and I had to remind them to set up the butler group chat the day before arrival because there were no instructions. Upon arrival, the main door was locked. Someone eventually came and brought my luggage up to the room, and that was it. No friendly chats, no personal touch, no estate introduction or tour, no other instructions, just a few pre-set WeChat images. The butler is quite responsive on chat but often provides incomplete answers.
Service at breakfast was cold. No one welcomes you when you walk in, and there was no proper introduction to what was available. There was only one staff member at breakfast. He eventually came over and asked which main dish I'd like. There was no mention of Western vs. Chinese options until I overheard someone else's order. Most of the time he was standing at the kitchen entrance using his phone loudly, which made it hard to get his attention. The loud phone noise made the experience quite unpleasant, as I was hoping for a relaxing, quiet breakfast.
Food options are very limited for a solo traveller. I ordered ******* for every lunch and dinner. I was quite hungry in the late afternoon and looking forward to the savory snacks in the afternoon tea set. I ordered them to my room and was told the ”chef had a family emergency” and could not prepare the fries and popcorn chicken, though I later saw someone else having the complete set in the lobby. :/
I saw another review a few months back giving feedback that there was no floor mat near the hot tub area. Even though they always respond to negative reviews the same way, saying they will improve, the problem was unfortunately not fixed. You only have one floor mat at the shower area and have to remember to bring it across the room to the hot tub area, or you'll be dripping wet on a slippery floor when you exit the tub.
Soundproofing is bad. There is a road right next to the room, and you can hear occasional cars passing by. During my stay, farmers were harvesting bamboo, and you could hear the loud truck engines (which sounded like excavators) and them talking loudly. Mad respect for farmers, just highlighting the downside of the location that you dont see in the nice photos.
The whole experience was strange because it felt like other guests were there for photoshoot over an actual hotel stay experience. You could see beautifully dressed ladies posing at every corner of the estate. Nothing wrong with that, just not something I'm used to.
The experience is not without positives. The room I stayed in 【云渌】 had an insanely beautiful view, which was what I came for. It directly faces the bamboo forest and mountains. On good days, you'll probably be able to see a nice sunset. The room was clean and had great, thoughtful amenities, including Le Labo toiletries, a small pack of laundry detergent, eye masks, earplugs, and a Dyson hairdryer, to name a few. I also loved the huge private balcony it came with.
I was really looking forward to this stay, but coming from another 民宿 I absolutely enjoyed, the service here was a stark contrast. This place has so much potential if they could brush up on the professionalism of the service crew to match the aesthetic and pricetag. I sincerely wish them well and hope the service can be improved.

The hotel was busy, but the staff helped upgrade our room type. Special thanks to Benson & Sandy for their thoughtful service. The concierge staff were also very proactive in helping with our golf bags and luggage. I'll definitely be back for my next golf trip!

The library, in particular, stood out with its striking spatial design and vibrant color scheme, creating a wonderfully spacious and bright atmosphere. It's the perfect place to grab a book, order a coffee, and easily spend an entire afternoon. The host was also incredibly hospitable! I definitely hope to visit again next time!

We make an annual two-night trip to Hangzhou, and this time we chose the Banyan Tree. I had an impressive experience at the Shanghai Banyan Tree back in 2015, but every property has its own unique style. The Hangzhou resort is nestled inside the Xixi National Wetland Park—a tranquil oasis amidst the hustle and bustle with an exceptional ecological environment. The moment we stepped into the lobby, our eyes were treated to a breathtaking, expansive view that we instantly fell in love with, making it feel like a home away from home for the next two nights. Walking into the guest room brought another pleasant surprise: the mini-fridge was fully stocked with complimentary drinks. The room was spacious, and both the bathroom and living room felt very grand. Stepping out onto the balcony, we were greeted by the delightful fragrance of sweet osmanthus. I just wanted to sit on the terrace, sipping tea and enjoying the floral scent while basking in the heavenly outdoor sunshine. The hotel's night view is equally enchanting, with the lake mirroring the scenery to create a serene and picturesque atmosphere. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety, and what made it even more delightful was sitting by the lake amid the scent of osmanthus, accompanied by a few clever little white ducks hoping for a treat. With such an idyllic lake view, a wonderful day truly begins with a wonderful breakfast. Since it happened to be the osmanthus-blooming season and we had a few sightseeing spots to visit, we didn't have as much time as we would have liked to just relax and enjoy the hotel. In fact, the fragrance of osmanthus all over the property was already intoxicating, with lush osmanthus trees everywhere. Aside from the slightly inconvenient location—driving is recommended—we were completely satisfied with our stay at the Banyan Tree Hangzhou. The service also deserves praise; staff were responsive to every request. We didn't even have time to try out the pool or wellness classes, so two nights felt a bit too short. It's no wonder the hotel is always so popular.

This time, I stayed at the Hualuxe Hotel with my family, and the overall experience was absolutely perfect. I must commend Peyton at the front desk and the entire team! From the moment we checked in, Peyton demonstrated extreme professionalism and a friendly demeanor. She noticed we had a child with us and proactively informed us that a playpen had already been set up in the room, along with children's toiletries and cartoon slippers, all prepared. These small details, though seemingly minor, made us feel incredibly reassured as parents traveling with a child, truly experiencing the hotel's meticulous care for family guests.
The room was spacious and bright, with a cozy layout. The bedding was soft and comfortable, offering panoramic views of the city outside. The soundproofing was also excellent, ensuring everyone in the family had a good night's sleep. The hotel's dining was equally satisfying; the breakfast offered a rich selection of Chinese and Western dishes, with the freshly made noodle station and dim sum being particularly popular. The dinner buffet featured fresh seafood and exquisite desserts, making the children happy. The swimming pool environment was clean, with a constant water temperature, and a few laps left us feeling refreshed.
It's safe to say that not only are the facilities top-notch, but more importantly, the service has a genuine warmth. Peyton's thoughtful arrangements saved us a lot of hassle and made this trip exceptionally easy and enjoyable. This five-star hotel truly puts its guests first and is highly recommended. The next time we visit this city, we will definitely choose to stay here again and will strongly recommend it to our friends.
