Pros: bed and shower room were clean, jasmine tea was the best that I have tasted, scent of the shower cream and shampoo made me wanted to keep them for myself, the location was good ,breakfast has more variety than the others. Cons: no closet to hang my clothes or tower Conclusion: I was really satisfied and enjoyed the stay and would surely recommend it to all of my friends.

First of all, the location is good. Near subway (maybe 10-15 mins walking), also near the Kunming railway station. Around here there are many cafe, restaurants, convenient stores. The second, about the room, looks good, clean, large. Even the receptionist can enot spreak English, but she tried to help me. The price is acceptable for the hotel’s quality. Highly recommend if you want stay near the Kunming Railway Station

tea horse guest house is one of the main check points along the trek, and has a viewing deck (with bar) where you can get a cup of coffee and enjoy the views of the mountain. the location is superb, and is the perfect spot to stop at if you are doing a 2D1N hike. sit outside of your room and look at the stars at night. as the area is being developed to accommodate more tourist, you’d notice lots of construction going on… amenities are super basic, soap shampoo is provided in sachets and the en-suite rooms have wet toilets (open shower and toilet without partitions). food here is basic, nothing to shout about. my stir fried vegetables came swimming in oil… which i learnt is just how the people in this area cook their food. you can scribble your signature on the walls floors chairs furniture etc as a momento… but the scribbling was too overwhelming for my liking. consider this location for the heritage (being the middle point of the entire tea horse route)… and for the views. even the shared toilets have a view!

The receptionist who took care of me on the afternoon of December 11th took very good care of me. I walked up to the room and inquired about it myself. Does the room smell? Is it comfortable to stay? We just gave a little feedback and the staff offered to change rooms immediately. Make every service easy. The welcome fruit was wonderful.

A big part of a good holiday experience is the hotel you stay in. This is one of the best hotels we have experienced whilst travelling through Yunnan. From the customer relations girls at reception to the cleaning ladies, Mengjin group staff excels in providing warm, friendly service to all their guests. Location is perfect for first time visitors to Kunming, you get to experience the old and the new just a short walk away. The hotel has exceptional standards with quality furnishings and bedding. Rooms are well appointed, the bed is comfortable and the soundproofing is fantastic. Breakfast is a limited choice of noodles but it is sumptuous and fulfilling. I especially like the coffee machine where you can get unlimited quality coffee anytime you want. We stayed at Moon Shine when we arrived and at this hotel Moon Shy before departing. Will definitely look out for this group's other outlets and will definitely stay here again! Thank you to the service staff for being so helpful, kind and caring. Special mention to housekeeping auntie who washed my socks ❤️. No 6 star hotel will ever give you that warmth.

The room is very spacious, the check-in experience is very good, the service is very attentive, and it is very close to the train station. You can get there if you can't. There is Ruixing Coffee downstairs of the hotel, and you can buy local flower cakes. You can reach the hotel in five minutes' walk. Yuecheng, the transportation is particularly convenient.

Location was great: Within Lijiang Ancient City and just a 5-min walk to the main road. Stayed during winter season and was glad to know that hot water was consistent. Room was cleaned up daily in the 4 days we stayed there to explore Lijiang and the surrounding areas. Breakfast provided was hearty with a good variety. Reception area is also conveniently located beside a cafe so you can also enjoy a cuppa over breakfast. Shoutout to the staff who were friendly and responded to our queries in a timely manner. They also helped to link us up to a local tour agency that helped us out with a Jade Dragon Snow Mountain day-trip which we thoroughly enjoyed. This was despite us not having a local Chinese number and only having WeChat as the only communication tool. All in all, really enjoyed our stay here at Songzhuju (松竹居) and will recommend it to my friends and family who are looking to explore Lijiang.

Located in an area with ******* traditional clothing shops, the hotel offered a delightful cultural experience, and walking around at night in the cool weather was especially enjoyable.

This hostel immediately make you feel warm and welcome! Close to the city center, it is easy to find and the staff is friendly (and speak English if you are a foreigner!). The hostel has a lovely lounge, rooftop and terrace where you can sit, enjoy the hostel's food and drinks (very good and affordable) and relax. I stayed in a 6-people all female dorm room, which was a little bit small but it is enough, especially since you have so many other places in the hostel where you can hang out. The bed is comfortable, the shower and toilet are outside of the room but easily accessible and clean. I had no problem with using the washing machine and dryer provided either. I only stayed one night but the hostel made me wish I had planned more time in Kunming! I will definitely book here again if I go back to Kunming.

This hotel is in an absolutely great location. It’s vibey and full of vibrancy. The rooms are a little in the small side but that okay. The shower was great! Loved the welcome fruit. The breakfast didn’t have much for vegetarian eaters. But it was great that it was till 12:30. Overall great hotel! With a nice artsy vibe and a great skybar view and swimming pool. Downside was none of the staff spoke English. For an international chain this was shocking .

Very convenient location about a 1-minute walk from Sifang Square. The main Wuyi Street is a short walk north, and the other big street Qiyi is a short walk south. Room was clean and the staff very helpful. No English is spoken, but I speak some Chinese and the staff can add you on wechat to communicate and share locations. The staff upgraded me, and the room was nice, clean and quiet—despite the very central location. Location could be a bit hard to find the first time, but the Trip.com app opened up Baidu maps for me and led me straight to one of the hotel entrances, though it wasn’t the main one (was just 10m west of the main one). I called the number and the staff guy came right over, so no problem. Other reviewers also say the staff can come guide you over, so you could also try that.

We stayed 4 nights in this hotel, transit hotel for our 2 days 1 night trip to Lugu Lake and Shangri-la and 2 nights for ancient town and Yulong snow mountain trip. Hotel location very convenient, in ancient city and only 3 mins walk to exit, easy for chartered pick up. Rooms are clean and comfortable with free self service laundry. Host Xiao Shi is very friendly and helpful, let us leave luggages at the hotel for our return stay, also help us to sort out our tickets for Yulong Snow Mountain and help engage Shangri-la hotel to change our hotel booking. Host even prepared free goodies bag for our day tour to Yulong Snow Mountain, superb and excellent services. Highly recommended hotel in Lijiang ancient city 👍👍👍

Located near the center of Dayan old town where have a lot of music bar, stores but it’s still quiet at night. The room was decorated by old chinese style. The owner is super friendly and supportive. He gave us the detailed intruction to the old town then picked up us at the old toơn’s gate and rent a tricycle to carry our baggages. He also invited us Chinese tea and gave the water bottles as much as he can. So please dont buy water in outside stores, the owner will be upset 😜

The hotel was nice, strategic location (easy to access with luggage compare to other hotels / stay inside the lijiang old town which might have many stairs inside), they have laundry room and was reliable! I can say for new hotel, they have provided us with 10/10 service rating. the amenities on the room was enough, but pretty sure bigger pump of shampoo and shower gel might be better for the future! They still have work ongoing the hotel, however it doesn’t bother us staying there. It’s getting more and more aesthetic. Will be staying there for sure when I get back to Lijiang! Even though never got the opportunity to have breakfast on the hotel, however Ms Jenny and the hotel’s chef have arranged and packed us breakfast that was delicious. Ms Jenny and other staffs there were very helpful, fast response!

My second excellent stay at a Desti hostel. The building itself had a very cool design and I imagine it would be a very lively place to stay during the peak season. The dorm and bathroom were very clean like in the other Desti I stayed in. The kids at reception were so nice and helped me book tickets that otherwise would have been very difficult to book as a non-Chinese speaker. The hostel is not in Lijiang proper, it is in a different old Town that is also very nice and quieter than Lijiang. It is about a 20 minute drive from Lijiang Old Town. Many buses to the various attractions leave from Lijiang, so you need to factor that driving time into your planning.

It's the second time I've stayed here. In terms of service, I can't say that the proprietress and the staff at the front desk are very friendly. I feel like I'm home. The parking is very convenient. The travel service is also a one-stop service. I don't have to worry about it. The room is very clean and smells good. The room layout is very large I will stay here again next time. The breakfast is super delicious. The rice noodles are even better than the ones outside. 👍🏻

one of my favourite stays of all time!!! staff were super friendly and helpful, they assisted in booking tours for us to Yulong Snow Mountain and Tiger Leaping Gorge. they also checked in with us regularly to ensure that we were doing fine on the tours. because the tours set off early, they prepared bread and milk for us to snack on - which was super, super thoughtful. the homestay is located in the ancient city. though it may be tiring to climb to get to, the view was worth it. we could see yulong snow mountain and the entire ancient city. it was a fantastic stay and it made us fall in love with lijiang so much. thank you for making us feel so at home, i strongly recommend staying here if you are coming to lijiang!!

After comparing countless hotels, inns, and B&Bs, I decided on ”Fanchenli·Designer Garden Hotel” because of the cleanliness. When I first arrived here, the boss came out to greet me. His attitude was very peaceful. After drinking tea and tasting snacks and chatting for a few words, he saw the boss's wife. She was very beautiful and elegant. The facilities of the house reflect that the owner and his wife are people who understand life, value quality, and have good taste: Dyson hair dryer, high-quality comb, and roomplus bath products (Yisui's gardenia scent, my favorite haha) , even the small soap has a high-end fragrance, there are also smart toilets, mousse mattresses, duvets, and even voice intelligence throughout the house, which is convenient and hygienic. The disposable bedding we brought was not used at all. The boss is personally on duty every day and the wife of the boss personally supervises the hygiene issues, so there is no need to worry at all. There are also soundproof windows that are very effective and you can't hear any noise from outside. It's a pleasure to come all the way to stay in such a high-end B&B. The owner's family's calm attitude towards life gives people a sense of peace and tranquility. There are also two men, one is the boss's son and the other is an employee. They both have very good service attitude and respond to all requests. In short, the difference between this place and the hotel is that it has a little more fireworks and human touch.

It is very easy to walk to the central and lively area of ​​the ancient city, but it is not a crowded place. It is very close to Erhai Gate and it is very convenient to take a taxi. , we took a taxi at 7 o'clock in the morning, and we could walk to Caicun to watch the sunrise in ten or twenty minutes. Lovely hotel located in a quiet alley. The staff are really friendly and helpful. I reached early and they were helpful in arranging for a room for me to check into. I did notice ants crawling on the headboard, and the toilet was not flushed. My room was on the 1st floor and both mornings I was awakened by loud voices from other guests. This is also about 1km walk to the center of the old town - manageable for me since there’s plenty to look at. Overall a good stay for the price paid.

We stayed in a room for 3 pax. The room is like a small apartment; spacious as it comes with 2 separate rooms and a common bathroom. As we were not used to using disposable towels, they have replaced them with normal cotton towels. We were staying at the 2nd floor and bathroom and has good water pressure. Service at the reception is top notch and really commendable. They were patient and offered to help book tickets and shared coordinates of locations as we were not able to read Chinese. When we checked out , we received 2 boxes of flower biscuit which was unexpected and was a pleasant surprise. As the hotel is situated near the east gate, it’s a good choice if you intend to travel towards erhai lake area.

I would honestly stay in this hotel for its service. The staffs and bosses there are very welcoming and would answer any and every question I have thrown at them. They have helped me to book tickets to the surrounding attraction and helped me with transportation there, making commutation a lot easier in such a big place. Additionally, the view from the rooftop is impeccable as the location itself is quite near to the mountainous area providing a breath taking view of the clear sky and mountain. Would love to go there again

I went there during the May Day holiday. There were a lot of people and cars outside. Fortunately, I chose this homestay, which is very close to the ancient city and very convenient to walk around. The next day, I visited Erhai Lake and there was a chartered car service, which saved me from the fatigue of traffic jams and the trouble of finding a car. The homestay is clean and tidy, and you can see that it is run with care. It is very quiet at night and I can have a good rest.

Value for money. Near to Dali Raiway station 5 min walk to entrance Dali Raiway station and 15 min walk from exit Dali Raiway station. Very near to bus station easy to move around in Dali take bus number 8 to Dali old town and number 4 to Santorini Dali. Need 25 min walk to Er Hai Park. Hotel room together with free breakfast. We enjoyed our breakfast as it very decision really suit our taste. The room very clean , bed Comfortable and air cond just nice. Check in early and late check out is the best stay for this hotel. Overall, is perfect stay for our trip in Dali. Will recommend anyone travel with public transport as it really convenient to stay here.

Checked in from 1/20 to 1/21. The location is in the lively Foreigner Street of the ancient city. It is very comfortable to stay in a quiet place in the bustle. The second night was booked as a follow-up, so I stayed in two room types, both of which were comfortable. Because we are from Taiwan, some websites are restricted after connecting to wifi, not because we cannot connect to the Internet (for this reason, we bothered the lady at the front desk who was still helping us test it after 11 o'clock in the middle of the night. There were many temporary emergencies, but luckily we stayed here ~ I met very enthusiastic service staff, including the guy at the front desk and another guy. As foreigners and traveling over the mid autumn festival in China for the first time to Dali, we could not be more impressed by the welcoming and service we got from the hotel. As we arrived we were welcomed with some lovely snacks and coffee as they booked us into our lake view room. There was a lady named Lynne who spoke English that assisted us in anything we needed. The staff made sure we were well looked after. They even went over and beyond for my partners birthday while we were staying in the hotel. We had lovely communication with the staff through wechat and whenever we needed anything or wanted to ask for help we could just message and they would assist us immediately with a smile.
