It's a designer guesthouse transformed from the century-old Zhengyuanxing Silk Store, brimming with a classic Republican era retro vibe that feels like a time-filter in itself. Staying here in the 'Ice City' completely immerses you in the atmosphere! Nestled in the heart of the Chinese Baroque district, it occupies a standalone century-old building with green bricks, red walls, and wooden corridors. The courtyard is elegant and serene – you don't even need to go looking for sights. A casual snap anywhere in the hotel yields stunning photos with that Republican era ambiance 📸. Wear light-colored clothing or a qipao, and your photos will be absolutely divine! What truly captivated me was its exclusive and private feel. The entire hotel has only 26 guest rooms, limiting daily guests, so there's absolutely no noisy crowd. You can enjoy the peace and elegance of a century-old residence all to yourself. It's a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle, perfectly avoiding the throngs of tourists. Beneath its vintage exterior lies a thoroughly modern, top-tier experience! All rooms feature smart home devices, smart toilets, and oversized bathtubs with great views. There's a Dyson hairdryer, a seven-setting constant temperature direct drinking water system, and a whole-house soft water system. It's a nine-compartment Northeastern specialty breakfast served in a Republican-era style restaurant. The variety changes daily, featuring everything from Harbin red sausage and diced Guobaorou (sweet and sour pork) to special pickles. One bite unlocks the authentic local flavor of the 'Ice City', making for a very ceremonial dining experience. The location is absolutely unbeatable! Step out and you're right on a century-old street with a cluster of retro buildings. Downstairs, you'll find all sorts of authentic Harbin old-brand eateries, making it easy to stroll and eat to your heart's content. It’s also super close to Central Street and St. Sophia Cathedral. Transportation is convenient, so you don't have to rush around when exploring. "The hotel's location is great, right by the river, next to the Monument Tower. The room size is decent. **Cleanliness:** Pretty good. **Facilities:** A bit old and dated. **Service:** Parking is provided, which is convenient. However, the staff really need to improve their patience with guests. We had to fill out a form for our child to stay, which was quite inconvenient and frankly, annoying. In this digital age, it felt like something from ancient times. Either do it yourselves or make the process smoother."

"An Unforgettable Stay at AOLUGUYA! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My wife and I had a wonderful two-night stay at AOLUGUYA. Everything was exceptional, from the beautiful cloud views to the delicious breakfast and delightful afternoon tea. A special appreciation to Polly, who was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. I would also like to thank the lovely lady who served us during afternoon tea and specially prepared a delicious grape tea for me. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made the experience even more memorable. The atmosphere, hospitality, and attention to detail were truly outstanding. We enjoyed every moment and would definitely love to return. Highly recommended for couples looking for a beautiful and relaxing getaway!"

"There is no direct elevator from the underground parking garage to the lobby, so you have to use the wall-mounted phone by the door to call the concierge for assistance. The view is definitely the main selling point—compared to watching the sunset from the riverbank, the bridge, or the cable car, this felt like the ultimate vantage point. The hotel itself feels classic rather than dated. Everything you see and touch, from the artwork and tableware to the furniture and hardware, exudes uncompromising quality. The thoughtful design really shines through in practical, durable details: the layout and dimensions of the three-fixture bathroom, the glass shower door that swings smoothly both ways, and the 2-meter king bed that feels an extra half-pillow wider than standard. That said, the breakfast—including the Horizon Club lounge offerings—leaves a bit of room for improvement; next time, we’d probably prefer heading out for brunch or ordering delivery."

"This is a very new, modern-style hotel. Some rooms are decorated in a Japanese style. The bathrooms are large and clean, with views of either the mountains or the street. The hotel is located in the center of the village, and you can walk to the activity area. If you're hungry, you can order food from the kitchen area. Most importantly, the host is incredibly kind and also seems quite young. They contacted us before our trip to check in and took us to the ski resort in the village because we woke up late, so we didn't have to book other activity areas. They even joined us for activities, took photos and videos, took us sledding, and drove snowmobiles. In the evening, when we didn't go out into the village, they messaged to check on us out of concern. We felt that the host took great care of us without making us feel uncomfortable or intrusive. We were very impressed! Also, the app mentioned a deposit, but it seems the host didn't collect it. P.S. If you haven't chosen an activity area beforehand, the host will likely take you to Xie Yue Lai (Xin Yue Lai). This place is great for sledding, skiing, and snowmobiling, with a high-angle view of the village. If you want beautiful tree views, you'll need to trek through. If you don't enjoy these activities, there might not be much to do, so I recommend finding another activity area as well."

"The hotel is brand new, and the rooms are very clean and unique. You can enjoy the outdoor scenery right from your bed. They offered complimentary frozen pears and persimmons upon check-in, and a free breakfast. The ground floor houses a cafe where you can order coffee and milk tea. The hotel also provides butler service. When entering Snow Village, a butler will pick you up and guide you, and they'll inform you of activity times in advance. Our butler, Xiao Wu, accompanied us throughout our stay, taking us to the best spots for photos in Snow Village, helping us take pictures, even refilling our hot water. They guided us in playing 'water splashing into ice,' letting us do it as many times as we wanted until we were thoroughly entertained. When we left, they dropped us off at the bus station and helped with our luggage the whole way. The service was excellent. Five-star rating for Butler Xiao Wu!"
