Hotels With Swimming Pools in Hainan, China

From my client: I stayed in the modern part of the hotel on the 13th floor. The view was stunning, the room was huge, and there were many amenities inside. The strangest thing was that the room lacked a refrigerator and kitchen utensils. In December (during my stay), the pool was completely closed, and there was no information about it. In fact, you find out about it not at the reception, but at the pool itself. As an experienced traveler who always moves around on my own, the hotel's location was quite advantageous. There are many small cafes nearby, a long beach, a beautiful wooden promenade, and several public transport stops, which are a 5-15 minute walk away. The hotel has private parking, which is convenient if you have rented a car. What can I say about breakfast? The reception and breakfast restaurant are located in the old part of the hotel. There is little lighting, the decor is old, and there is little aesthetic appeal. The cuisine is Chinese with elements of European food. Tourists who bought package tours and stayed in this part of the hotel had much worse rooms (the rooms were not renovated at all, the carpets were old, the wall paint was not great) than I did, who booked accommodation through this app. I would like to separately mention the work of the staff. The employees only speak Chinese, and they have no desire to assist you if you are a foreigner because they seem shocked and totally confused by you. Upon check-in, they did not provide any additional gifts that were provided by Trip.com when purchasing accommodation. As they say, the law there is one: if you need something, you have to insist on it using a Chinese translator and supporting documents. By the way, upon check-in, you have to leave a deposit, and most importantly, keep the deposit receipt so that you can get it back later.

Grace did a great job as butler for our stay at Atlantis Sanya Hotel. We are very happy with her service. Hotel amenities were fantastic, and customer service went above and beyond when we had issues with the air conditioning in our room. We will certainly stay again!

We loved this room, we got the bay side view and having the bathtub on the balcony was just the loveliest. The room was turned down everyday and left spotless for when we got back. The location is nice and close to the marina if you want to take a boat tour. The only thing I would critique is the breakfast in the morning, there wasn’t that many options and it didn’t feel like the best quality, we ended up only going once for breakfast. But overall we really enjoyed the hotel I just wouldn’t recommend getting the breakfast.

The only reason why we booked this hotel is because we had a very earlier flight, and the hotel is directly reachable via Meilan Railway station. The hotel is also near a “shopping mall” to do last minute souvenir shopping, and there’s like a food court nearby. So location is 5 stars! At one glance the room looks spacious and okay, but there’s a cockroach looking creature flying out suddenly and when underneath the bed frame, and the toilet seats and the shower floor looks a little stained. I think the room light is a little dull even when all the spot lights are switch on hence not really giving a bright and clean impression. Nonetheless the super huge bed looks clean and white! Personally felt that service was not up to standard of what one would expect from a 4 diamond hotel. Checked in around 6pm and there were 4 staffs standing at the counter but only 1 attended to the 3 guests queuing to check in (maybe it’s not their job to do check in?). Later the night wanted to ask about the bus shuttle service timing and the guy standing at the information counter just replied in a frustrated tone - “look at this timetable”. As it is our first time here we don’t know where is the pickup point and we asked where is the pickup point to which he just reply “this level”. We had to look around and point to the nearest entry and reconfirm is it there. So service aspect could have been friendlier. Amenities wise it’s pretty standard. Toiletries were great. 4 bottles of waters provided. 2 pairs of slip ons and 2 pairs of rubber slippers. Oh not sure what’s wrong with the aircon, set 23 degree yet it’s still making us sweat in the night. Usually I would feel freezing cold in this temperature. All in all, an ok experience to have somewhere to stay to catch an early flight.

I was very satisfied with the location, facilities, and service of this hotel. The Daedonghae, which is connected to the hotel by a rainbow bridge, is blue and the sand is very soft. The hotel's swimming pool is located on the 3rd and 9th floors, especially the view from the swimming pool on the 9th floor is wonderful. I was able to stay comfortable thanks to Mr. Jim, who took care of us carefully. If I go to Sanya next time, I will stay at this hotel again.

As always Sunshine Resort in Sanya is like a home always from home...but with better cooking :) From the warm welcome from Vanessa at the front desk...to all the cleaners, wait staff and pool staff..you are treated as a valued visitor. It is great to see the extra loung chairs at the pool and on the property above the beach and chairs and umbrellas on the beach...well done. A big benefit is the newly developed bosrdwalk that goes the entire lenght of the beach with plenty of food and drink. Also....although I do not have kids here..they always have entertainment on the holidays for the young ones. I will always return the the special...”Sunshine” in Sanya

The hotel is situated in a very touristy area. Many Russian-speaking tourists. There is a mall by the hotel and a food court area across the street, the beach is within walking distance. The room was clean it came with basic amenities, I would take an extension lead to charge multiple devices. The elevators are very slow and if you want to relax by the pool and find a place to sit you need to go early as the seats get taken fast. The gym area has enough equipment to get the job done. Check-in and check-out were very fast, we had no problems. If you cannot speak Chinese they will translate. There were a few rude entitled tourists. Be courteous and respectful to the workers and people trying to help, and make an effort to use their language either via a translation app or learn a few words. You will see the instant appreciation and respect for trying. If you go to the front of the pineapple and walk left for about 5/10min you can find some Western restaurants called the Dolphin, Little India and an Italian place. If you want coffee early in the morning there is a Starbucks on that same road that opens at 7:00 am. Overall it was a good stay for a business trip with no issues.

I don’t usually bother myself writing reviews for the hotels. But it was such a pleasure to stay in DaDongHai hotel! Clean and nice, the staff really went above and beyond helping me with any little problem I had. Loved their small but SUPER clean pool with a beer bar nearby. Also, they got probably the best hotel gym I ever worked out in. Lots of equipment for strength training and cardio. Very close to the beach and other places to go for food or a drink. Very friendly and generous room cleaning ladies. Thanks for their work! Next time I’m in Sanya, I won’t even look up other hotels - will come back to DaDongHai.

I checked late the last day of my stay and seriously no one gave me a call to let me not forget to clock out like other hotels would. I’ll book this hotel again in my next visit. We had an absolutely amazing first trip to Sanya while staying at Mangrove Tree Resort. The room we stayed at in King Palm Tower was huge and it overlooked the resort. The room was gorgeous and the stylish tub was a nice touch. We spent a few hours at the water park on site and stuffed ourselves at the food street. Very convenient and centralised location. Would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Good location, right opposite to wanxiang city mall. Good service, thank you Ken for upgrading the room to the sea view room, which has spectacular view. The breakfast is also nice, with many options. The only downside is that Wi-Fi was not stable in my room.

he Hilton Haikou is a very well located hotel and probably one of the best in Haikou. On arrival there was a heavy rainfall which caused me to get quite wet walking from the taxi to the hotel entrance. I booked the room online via trip for me and my travel companion with the payment in hotel option. Online-Prepayment was not possible. On check in, given that I was very wet because of the rainshower I was quite unsatisfied with the service. First there was apparently some issue, wether I or my companion booked the room because the order of names on the booking showed my name in second place. Also my companion wasnt with me at that time because of a one day delay. In my opinion it shouldnt be a matter who booked the room since both of our names were given, regardless of the order. This issue took some extra time which is very inconvenient if you are dripping wet and just want to rest. Secondly when it comes to payment instead of the 1959 RMB, 2000 RMB were deducted from my WeChat account without any communication about the deviation. I also only realized it later when I already arrived the room and was very confused what the 41 RMB were for. Like I said it has not been communicated to me at all. Maybe a tip or was it meant as a deposit? (Even though it would appear to be a very odd deposit amount and tipping in China is not a thing) I guess from a 5 Star Hilton I could expect accuracy and clear communication when it comes to payment. Which brings me to another downside. Even though my Mandarin is sufficient enough, I was very surprised that at a Hilton of this price category none of the staff at check in nor other employees were able to speak English. So for foreigners who dont speak Chinese this would be a bit difficult. The next day I went down to reception again to ask about the 41 RMB and was offered a refund, yet the reason why it has been deducted in the first place still remains unknown to me. Another small issue appeared at breakfast when I asked one of the waitresses where the tea/ teabags is/are located. I formulated my request precisely in Chinese and the lady was just behaving awkward and walked away. I thought maybe still something would happen, but 10 minutes later still nothing. Luckily I was able to find the overseeing waitress, asked her the same question and found out that the Teabags are not openly presented at the buffet (Which is an unexpected inconvenience for a 5-Star hotel yet again, + the tea choices are very limited) My last complaint is the minibar. I have been at budget hotels before, which offered a free minibar which is refilled every day. Why are there so many things in this Hotel with a hefty price tag. This appears not welcoming given the cost of this Hotel. Especially the price-tag of minibar drinks is outrageous. For example 0.33L Tsingtao Beer 28 RMB…. Speechless. In every shop around you get 0.5L for less than half the price. Now that all my complaints about the service have been mentioned, lets move on to the many upsides of the Hilton: -Great location and rooms -Very good breakfast buffet with many choices -Even better dinner buffet (298RMB/Person) -Great panorama view -luxurious -Some of the staff still did a great job, which is why I still give a 3/5 rating, regardless of previous issues.

Check in by Jacky (hopefully name is correct), was smooth and he was attentive offering us to book restaurant for our dinner. That's was a nice warm welcome. The breakfast was great many options from western to Chinese served in buffet and open kitchen. The service from the restaurant staff can be better, however its enough for some one like us that not looking to have top top service. The staff are working very hard from kitchen, restaurant service, housekeeping and i believed the back of the house that trying very hard to keep the maintenance and cleanliness. Please have some signage or reminder to the guest do not waste the foods at restaurants. I truly understand is hard to communicate to our guest do not waste the foods. Many of the guest waste the foods at breakfast and dinner buffet restaurants. Once again thank you for the management and th team of Hualux Hotel! keep it up and all the best.. PS: I'm training my son to appreciate house keeping attendance by swift the linen and shared some good gesture. Regards, BW

Great location. Small but enough space for a short stay. Even had a desk and side table. Clean and with great view from the roof over the old city streets. Nice charm. Big plus. Elevator to get up to the room with lots of luggage. 🤣🤩.

Myself and my girlfriend spent only 1 night at the Sofitel. Even in this short period of time, our stay was a memorable one. Starting from the warm welcome at the lobby area on the 1st floor with luggage assistance, until our departure from the same place when the kind Concierge staff assisted us get a transfer to the train station while we were not able to do it (didi) due to the business generated by the Chinese New Year. At the Front Desk, Echo welcomed us with a warm sincere smile and showed a high level of confidence and product knowledge while highlighting the hotel facilities. Moreover, she went above and beyond our expectation when she recommended the hotel restaurant and few dishes when she heard my girlfriend telling me she is hungry. Another memorable experience was our SPA treatment where the staff were very friendly and professional. Overall, the hotel feels very new with, the location is great and the level of cleanness is very satisfactory. We will defiantly return to Sofitel if business or leisure will bring us back to Haikou.

It’s a great hotel at a very good price. You would pay about three times in Europe for this convenience. The buffet restaurant has very good selection of sushi and fish and meats, and the beer is included. The Chinese restaurant is also pretty good at a reasonable price. If you need a few things for shopping, just go across the street near the Holiday Inn.

Stayed here for a night. It was a pleasant stay. Hotel gave off a dated vibe which I enjoyed. Staff was courteous. Amenities were sufficient. There was also a small public hot spring facility just outside the hotel and a tub you can fill with hot spring water in hotel room. Different varieties of food served during breakfast. Location is convenient to go to qilou old street. We took a cab.

We spent 4 nights at Raffles Hainan during Christmas holidays with my family and definitely it's the best experience we had in Hainan. We have tried several hotels in Sanya but none of them can be compared to Raffles. The resort is located in a privileged place, probably one of the few paradise left in entire Hainan. White and sandy beach, plus extremely clean. Before my arrival, I got in touch with the Spanish speaking manager, Joe Torres who made sure and went above and beyond to make sure my arrival was smooth and without any complications (Due Covid situation). Upon my arrival we were greeted by Joe Torres who arranged everything and promptly introduced our personal Butler, also named Joe. We had a fantastic room with phenomeal view to the sea, extremely clean, welcome decorations on our bed in Spanish (Nice and unique touch) and cute Christmas welcome amenities. The hotel looks in good shape even if it's already 8 years old. Breakfast was fantastic, probably the best I'ever had in Sanya with a wide selection of chinese and western options. My egg benedict was cooked on point and my daugther was delighted by the extensive pastry option. Also, big thank you to Jane & Eric, managers at the restaurant who took care of my dining during my stay. The lounge bar at the pool was my way to go when to have some food, for it's unique vibe and accessibility to the pool. I totally recommend their fried noodles and club sandwich. Quesadillas and tuna sandwich were not to my taste. Overall we had a fantastic christmas vacation with my entire family and thank the entire team at Raffles Hainan for make sure me and family had a smooth holidays. We will definitely come back and I totally recommend this place to those who look for privacy, quiteness and unique high end service.

We booked a three-day, two-night trip. The scenery and environment of the hotel are superb! Exceeded expectations! The buffet breakfast is very rich, and you can also have lunch and dinner in a group. It is very convenient without the hotel! Especially the hotel butler Stephen is very considerate. It’s my first time to stay at Weipos Hotel. It is a family hotel with lots of people and a very good environment. There is an adult swimming pool🏊 and a children’s swimming pool. It takes some distance to walk to the beach. The hotel is also building more facilities in the future. The hotel has a free bus to Haitang Bay Duty Free Shop. Tang's work performance is very good and considerate. This time I checked in, the network was being repaired and the signal would be weaker. The construction was noisy during the day.

The hotel that surprised me on this Hainan self-driving route. The hotel rooms are all in a comfortable and simple decoration style, which is basically the same as the online pictures. The apartment has a superior location and complete surrounding facilities, fully meeting the needs of permanent residents. We arrived at the hotel late in the afternoon and were given a very satisfactory room. The room was spacious and clean, and there was a terrace to enjoy the view. Parking was convenient and it was close to Haiyun Plaza, just a few minutes' walk away.

When I first checked it, I wasn't really amazed by this hotel, but when we were welcomed by Carlos I just felt that warm welcome that I was looking for. Carlos made sure that we were okay all the time. The hotel has a great location, right next to the hotel, 1 minute walk from our hotel room. The breakfast is mostly Chinese, western breakfast is non existent at this hotel and that's one thing I feel they should improve on, but Carlos and his team really made us forget about the little troubles we experienced. The hotel overall is good value for money. Rooms are spacious but nothing outstanding. The service was good but in the restaurant the engagement could have been a bit higher. Food was okay as well. We came to play tennis but the condition of the tennis court is really bad. There are some restaurants nearby and Wanning is about 10min drive away. The beach is beautiful and the pool is very big. There is a nice beach bar with nice seating.
