We had a fantastic stay at Crowne Plaza Chaozhou Riverside and honestly wished we could have stayed longer.
From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to help. Check-in was smooth, questions were answered quickly, and throughout our stay the service remained warm and attentive without ever feeling forced. It’s the kind of hospitality that makes a hotel memorable.
Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and after long days exploring Chaozhou, it was the perfect place to relax and recharge. We also appreciated the thoughtful details throughout the room, including complimentary soft drinks in the minibar, bottled water, bathrobes, quality tea and coffee facilities, and plenty of storage space.
The river view was another highlight. Waking up and looking out over the Han River and the city skyline was a wonderful way to start the day. The room felt peaceful, quiet, and very comfortable.
Cleanliness throughout the hotel was excellent. Everything felt well maintained and cared for, from the guest room to the common areas.
What impressed us most was how the staff consistently went above and beyond to make sure guests were comfortable. Great facilities are important, but outstanding service is what truly sets a hotel apart, and this team delivered exactly that.
If you’re visiting Chaozhou and looking for a comfortable hotel with excellent service, beautiful river views, and a relaxing atmosphere, I would highly recommend Crowne Plaza Chaozhou Riverside.

"The room was clean and hygienic, and all the facilities were quite new. I was especially surprised by the vanity in the bathroom, with separate toilet and shower areas, and two sinks, which was very convenient for families. All the hotel staff were enthusiastic and helpful, always ready to answer any questions. The mineral water park area was quite large and even had a surfing zone, which was a unique experience. After playing in the normal temperature water, you could go soak in the hot springs nearby, which was incredibly relaxing. We had dinner and dim sum at the Liufu Restaurant on the second floor, and both offered excellent value for money."

"Had a great time and experience in Tiantai No. 1 Homestay. The apartment is in a great location, very near to Dongmen Old Street/Pedestrian Street and many eateries. It is also within walking distance to Guomao Metro Station, King Glory Plaza and many more! The crew was really friendly and helpful. Xiao Fang was always ready to answer any questions I had, even before we arrived in Shenzhen and helped to make sure that our room was kept clean and well-stocked. Because our apartment is on the highest floor of the building, we had access to the rooftop where we could chill in the evening and enjoy the stunning skyline of Shenzhen.
If I have t o pick a bone, it will be the narrow spiral staircase leading to our apartment. Luckily, a male crew member was there to help with our heavy luggage. Otherwise, we may have a hard time bring them up and down the staircase.
I will definitely recommend Tiantai No.1 Homestay to my family and friends. Hopefully, we get to try our other rooms when we visit Shenzhen next time."

"The ocean-view room with a hot tub was truly amazing, a highly recommended short-trip resort.
About the room:
1. The room was spacious, and the two 1.8m king-size beds were incredibly comfortable!
2. It had its own balcony and hot tub 🛀. The large balcony had tables and chairs, and the hot tub was perfect for a relaxing drink. The second bedroom also had a small balcony.
About the service: The front desk butler was incredibly attentive! They responded to my requests promptly, which was truly heartwarming.
About the environment:
1. When I arrived, it was a sunny day, and the view of the crystal-clear ocean was breathtaking! Absolutely stunning, even without filters.
2. A popular Instagram spot: the Hōhaku Restaurant Bar! Perfect for taking amazing photos.
3. A prime sunset viewing spot 🌄 You can watch the sunset from your room.

"Our stay felt just like home. The spacious 50㎡ room gave us plenty of space to move around, and the entire place was meticulously cleaned with no strange odors. Being on a higher floor, it was quiet and peaceful, and we enjoyed city views right from our window. The air conditioning was cool and comfortable, and all the amenities we needed were provided. The location was excellent, with the subway, mall, and great food all within easy reach. The staff were warm and attentive, making our family trip truly relaxing and enjoyable."

Ccircle920As the best hotel in Shenzhen, it truly lives up to expectations. Although it opened several years ago, it's incredibly well-maintained. The bedding and bath products are very thoughtfully chosen, and the welcome tea and snacks were a nice touch. The afternoon tea selection might not be huge, but it's very refined and tastes excellent. I particularly want to mention breakfast – the eggs Benedict were perfectly made, and the braised beef noodles were incredibly authentic. The fresh coconuts also met the high standards you'd expect from a luxury hotel.
However, there was a small hiccup during check-in. When we arrived at our room, we found the door wide open and a man sitting on the sofa! Luckily, a staff member was passing by in the hallway. After hearing what happened, they escorted us to the lobby to clarify the situation. Leo, the lobby manager, sincerely apologized for the hotel's error, and the solution he offered was acceptable. For someone who has stayed in many ultra-luxury hotels worldwide, it's quite unacceptable for a Mandarin Oriental to make such a basic mistake. This was truly a first for me, and I hope the hotel takes this seriously!

The spatial design is miles ahead, on par with the Peninsula Shanghai, and incredibly user-friendly. The gym is huge and fully equipped; I didn't get a chance to use the pool. The lobby bar is a very comfortable spot to relax. All the staff are cheerful, and the service is incredibly attentive – plus, all the ladies are beautiful! Breakfast and the Guang Yu Xuan restaurant are up to the standard of a luxury hotel. Overall, the the hardware is superb, truly top-tier in China. The service has that distinctive Rosewood elegance, and the food is standard, nothing particularly outstanding.

GGuest UserMy overall experience at JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen Bao'an was excellent, and I'd especially like to thank Guest Service Specialist Reina. The check-in process was efficient and smooth. Reina was professional and meticulous, proactively understanding my business travel needs. She thoughtfully arranged a quiet, high-floor room for me and patiently explained the hotel's office amenities, internet usage, and local business travel information. The room was clean and elegant, with complete office facilities, comfortable bedding, and good soundproofing, allowing for a restful night after a busy day. During my stay, I contacted Reina for some last-minute needs, and she responded quickly and handled everything appropriately, communicating with a warm and polite demeanor. Her service throughout truly showcased Marriott's professional standards. The hotel's location is excellent, making travel convenient, and the overall environment is grand and comfortable, suitable for both business meetings and short breaks. Reina's attentive and thoughtful service was incredibly heartwarming. I will definitely choose this hotel first for my next business trip.

- Both our rooms at level 10 were relatively close to each other facing the Wong Tee Plaza. It might be a way of the said front desk staff allocating these rooms to us to compensate for our unpleasant check in experience (see below). Spectacular views and we managed to spectate the night light show on Saturday without needing to go to the Civic Centre.
- Facilities are great including 24-hour well equipped gym and sauna (best of all hotels in China we experienced so far).
- Rooms are relatively new and fully equipped with necessities, has a dyson air dryer, Toto automatic toilet, automated curtains and a steamer to iron the clothes.
- Breakfast had a lot of varieties to offer (personally loved the oden and sushi section), good service too.
- Housekeeping was amazing. As I was leaving my room, Joy asked if we were interested in their laundry services and we declined as we do not have much laundry to do.
After the first day of housekeeping, she noticed we did simple laundry (1-2 pieces of undergarment) and offered us a complimentary mini laundry detergent. We appreciate her thoughtfulness despite the fact that we initially declined her services.
- Check out was relatively seamless, I believe it was the front office manager that managed our check out and explained the deposit refund procedures accordingly.
- Concierge was decent too as they suggested we are better off getting a Didi to transfer our move to our next destination, and helped us load our bags to the Didi.
Cons
The only downside experience was check in. We requested if it would be possible to have interconnecting rooms (all good if not, at least as close to each other as possible within the same floor). We were advised that given interconnecting rooms are not available for the same type of rooms:
1.The staff provided an offer (upgrade to one of the bigger rooms that has interconnecting room with free 3 days hotel breakfast for 2 out of 4 pax). The quote/offer was outside of our budget hence we declined the offer and we just accept our original booking via Trip.com with no interconnecting rooms.
2.After we declined, the staff informed us that she miscalculated the price (from RMB 31k down to RMB 20k) for the same offer. This is very odd/confusing to us especially with the price difference due to miscalculation, and she was trying to push this offer to us again which we declined. At this point, whatever price quoted to us of this offer lost its credibility and we proceeded to stick to our original booking.
3.The staff said that she will notify us via WeChat (she added us on WeChat) once the room is ready. Understood at that time it was before check in time (i.e. before 3pm) hence we decided to grab lunch and come back after the check in time.
It was past 3pm and we heard nothing from her upon returning to hotel and had to approach the front desk to ask for an update. The same staff managed to provide us key card for one of the rooms while the other room is still not ready (it was past 3:20pm at that time). She said that she will arrange one of her coworkers to deliver the keycards to us once that other room is ready. Around 3:50-4:20pm, we heard nothing (I walked past the other room and noted the housekeeping has finished cleaning up the room and left). I had to go to the front desk to request an update and eventually obtained the keycard.
I am not sure if the above stems from the individual's motivation or if this is part of the hotel's standard procedure to aggressively upsell (even if we already said no) or if the front desk is pressured to meet monthly KPIs, but that left us an unpleasant check in experience and obviously did not represent the check in hospitality standards of the hotel itself.
Aside from the check in, we loved everything hence we had to give 4 out of 5.

CCiciciciFive-star rating for the Zhuhai Marriott Hotel! A special shout-out to Winnie Chen, the operator manager! During my stay, I called multiple times to inquire about dining reservations, parking, directions to attractions, and room facilities. Each time, I was greeted by a gentle and polite voice, and her responses were clear and concise. Winnie is very professional; she never brushed off complex requests. Instead, she meticulously coordinated with various departments to handle them quickly, and her response time was incredibly fast. Even with multiple repetitive inquiries, she remained exceptionally patient, and all communication was fluent and appropriate. She perfectly embodies the service standards of a Marriott five-star hotel.
The hotel environment and room amenities were already excellent, but with Winnie's thoughtful and heartwarming service, my overall stay experience was significantly enhanced. This will be my top choice for business trips or holidays in Zhuhai. Thank you, Winnie, for your dedicated service!

AAnonymous UserOur stay at the Hengqin Bay Hotel was absolutely fantastic! 👍👍👍 Right as we checked in, we caught an interactive performance, which my kids absolutely loved and even got stickers from. The front desk lady who handled our check-in was incredibly nice. I mentioned wanting a high floor, and she suggested upgrading our room if we booked a buffet dinner, which was a wonderful surprise! She arranged for us to be on the 19th floor, directly facing the fireworks – I can't thank her enough! I forgot to ask her name, but she was beautiful and kind 🌹🌹🌹. She also recommended the WeChat concierge service, which was also excellent! 👍👍👍 The concierge was very thorough, informing us of all the important details, hotel operations, and park opening hours. They even offered us a complimentary drink, which we forgot to claim, but the gesture was much appreciated. All the hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful, answering all our questions. The overall experience was excellent, and we'll definitely be back!

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt calm, private, and relaxing. The hotel itself is beautifully designed and blends very naturally with the seaside surroundings, creating a quiet luxury atmosphere that immediately makes you slow down and enjoy the experience.
The room was spacious, modern, spotless, and very comfortable. We especially loved our room location because it was incredibly easy to step outside anytime and enjoy the fresh ocean air, privacy, and relaxing ocean view. Sitting outside during the morning and evening became one of our favorite parts of the stay. The outdoor patio and soaking pool made the experience feel even more special and peaceful, especially at night when the atmosphere became even quieter.
The room amenities were excellent, including complimentary minibar drinks, coffee machine, tea selection, bathrobes, ironing equipment, quality toiletries, and many thoughtful details that made the stay feel complete and comfortable. Everything felt carefully prepared and very well maintained.
Breakfast was honestly amazing every morning and became one of the highlights of our stay. The fresh colorful fruits, delicious noodles, healthy dishes, fresh juice, and calm dining atmosphere made every morning enjoyable and relaxing instead of rushed. Even though complimentary fruits mentioned in the booking were not provided in the room, we honestly did not mind because the breakfast fruits were incredibly fresh and delicious every day.
We also understand why check-in may sometimes take longer because once we entered the room, everything felt perfectly prepared, safe, clean, quiet, functional, and comfortable. We genuinely could not find anything negative during our stay.
Thank you and appreciation to all the staff for their warm hospitality, professionalism, kindness, and effort in making our stay memorable, peaceful, and truly relaxing. We would absolutely love to return again in the future.

GGuest UserOur whole family came from Hong Kong to celebrate our child's birthday. We pre-ordered a cake online and had it delivered to the hotel. We informed the concierge beforehand, and they were incredibly thoughtful, helping us receive it and carefully placing it in the fridge to keep it fresh, saving us a lot of hassle. The family room we booked exceeded our expectations; it was fully decorated with charming cartoon themes and even had a small tent, which our child excitedly played with the moment we walked in. The hotel lobby has claw machines, perfect for keeping the kids entertained. The concierge also proactively gave us detailed recommendations for kid-friendly attractions nearby. The room itself was spacious and bright with a great view from the window. The interior decoration was cozy and soothing. There was a variety of pillows on the bed, including neck support pillows and soft pillows, ensuring a very restful sleep after our long journey. The staff were all very kind and attentive, from helping store our cake to offering comprehensive advice on local activities. The room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were excellent. Overall, our birthday trip was very relaxing and comfortable.
