I stopped here on a motorcycle trip from Florida to Virginia. The front office lady was very nice. I take a lot of trips and do not have particularly high standards. I look for quiet and clean with a price point under 100.00. Apparently there are people who live here all week? It’s pretty noticeable especially with a barbecue grill that resides on the parking lot. This is not a place you want to stop with a family. Pretty sketchy and had me wondering if I should have brought something just in case. If you get my drift. Guys sitting in their vehicle in the parking lot. Hmmm. Hope my Harley is there in the morning. Noisy noisy noisy with people seemingly running races on the upstairs hallway. Dogs barking. My my another night in the hood. I stayed in several places this year across the country from Pennsylvania to Montana. I have noticed that there are certain types who are in the hospitality business that should not be. They are not hospitable and their hotels are dirty and run down. Not sure if Motel 6 is a franchise or owned by a hospitality chain. They need to take a look at this place. The front desk girl was very nice though. I do try to give the benefit of doubt when I give a review. The last motel 6 I stayed in was about 20 years ago and it was nice basic and clean. This place is neither clean nor nice. Spend your 80 dollars elsewhere. However the restaraunt out in front of this place ( not affiliated) has great southern style food. It’s called the Front Porch restaurant. You won’t regret it.

I was so disappointed in my stay. First let me say I received a call when I checked in to see how things were and I said fine. Well later when I was ready to shower, I realized there was no body wash in the compartment. I called downstairs and some was brought up. Then as I was cleaning up the living area, I realized the trash had not been taken out from the previous guest. This really made me feel as if my room had not been cleaned properly. I had no coffee cups or coffee in my room just a coffee lid. I just did not have a pleasant stay at all. The room was spacious and the renovations were nice but apprehensive about staying again.

I stayed here for four days. The first room I got had two full beds and had an AC unit that was very worn and barely worked. I request a move to a king bed for my last two days and it was a cleaner room with good AC. They also gave me a courtesy by charging me the same rate on the king room as the two fulls. The front desk is friendly. Overall, the place is clean and quiet at night and a few people were walking their dogs around the property. It's close to the interstate but you can barely hear any traffic noise. The hotel itself is tucked back into the woods. I wish the WiFi was a little faster but it got the job done. There is a QuikTrip nearby for all your snacking needs.

Check in was smooth. Very friendly check in agent. They did have hard plastic dividers at most of the check in area. I've rarely been to a Red Roof Inn that had inside corridors and rooms this large. I was skeptical at first because my room had a ”push here for assistance” buttons on the outside, usually indicating its a handicapped room, but once inside, it clearly was not one (maybe it was prior). Room had faux hardwood floors. Bathroom was kinda bare and drab. Shower had GREAT pressure and hot hot water. TV had TONS of channels, but I couldn't get the TV's aspect ratio correct. WiFI was zippy. Computer chair actually raised to a normal height. Decent outlet availability too. Bed was OK, pillows were mostly terrible. Stop washing the damn pillows! Towels were scratchy. Downside is the faux wood floor gets a little ”moist” at times it seems like vs a carpeted room. Check out was smooth, same agent as the previous day at check in. Location is great! Right off 85, but back in a bit, no road noise at all. Bojangles, diner, Waffle House, QT and a Pilot all within a 5 min walk. I'd easily stay here again.

We travel 2 x per year and are always happy to stay at this Motel 6. The owner takes great pride in making updates inside and out. This year he was painting the exterior and the doors had already been repainted. The motel is safe, the parking lot is well lit, the dog walking area is beautiful and the rooms were spotless. Lots of clean towels are provided. This was my favorite Motel 6 and I have stayed in many

Red Roof Plus+ Mt Pleasant - Patriots Point

We spent 3 nights here after spending 3 nights at the Red Roof Inn in Myrtle Beach. The one in Myrtle Beach is a 5 star resort compared to this one. Our room in Myrtle Beach was almost double the size of the one in Mt. Pleasant, and it was almost half the price (we were in Mt. Pleasant during the week not on a weekend). When we checked in, the young man at the front desk was surly at best, it appeared that he didn't want to be there. There were tree trimming contractors staying there (they cut trees for the power companies) and they started their big bucket trucks up every morning at dawn. So even if you wanted to sleep past dawn you couldn't. The Red Roof Inn in Myrtle Beach was 4 stories with inside access to the rooms, a spacious lobby, nice pool area and nice grounds. Contrast that to this Red Roof Inn which is more typical of one that you would see off the interstate where you're just looking for a place to sleep for the night. But it's in an upscale area, so I don't know why it's not a better hotel. It needs updating, and the grounds aren't the cleanest. The only reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is because of it's location and because of the front desk clerk Becky, who is personable and helpful. I would go back to Mt. Pleasant in a heartbeat but would look for somewhere else to stay.
