GGuest UserWe had booked three nights but could only arrive on the third night. I knew I would lose the cost of the first two nights but when it came to check out, I was asked to pay for the three nights, despite having already paid through Trip.com. Fortunately, I had a Nepali friend come to collect us and he spoke with their head office. If he had not been there it would have been very difficult, despite showing the money taken from my bank. This was the second time for this to happen in Nepal when booking through Trip; already paid but being asked to pay again.. Our room had no wi-fi, no hot water and only one seat to sit on outside. The place looked in poor condition, so we were not sorry to only spend one night there.

BBeihailiuhaoranThe first hotel we stayed at in Kathmandu was next to the Indian Embassy. It had a balcony with views of local Nepalese houses and lush forests, where many eagles circled overhead. Inside, there was a beautiful and tranquil garden. The owner, surnamed Liang, provided us with currency exchange services at a better rate than in Thames. It was a very pleasant experience.

MmtsanginhkThanks to the tour groups overbooking the west wing I was put into a twin suite room and discovered room service at the Dalai La. Having had weeks of Dahl and rice and noodles, it was great to binge on pizza and burgers. Internet was a bit intermittent on the 5th floor but the room is quieter than those facing the courtyard in the west wing.

てつイグThe staff were wonderful and the view was amazing. I had a great time throughout my stay. There are many hotels in Nagarkot with mountain views, but by mountain view I mean a view of the nearby mountains. However, this hotel has Himalayan views, with all rooms facing the Himalayas. The difference is huge! As far as I've seen, this hotel and the two on either side offer a completely open Himalayan view. Of course, other hotels also offer Himalayan views if you go up to the rooftop, but being able to sit on a chair on your room's balcony and gaze out at the Himalayas while sipping coffee is a unique experience. It was truly a wonderful stay! The restaurant was also delicious. I understand that tastes vary, but I thought the seasoning was just right—not too spicy or too strong. They really listened to your preferences, so if you let them know, they'll be able to tailor it to your taste. Breakfast is continental unless the hotel is fully booked. Only then does it switch to buffet style. The hot water power is fine. There's air conditioning, so it's no problem whether it's cold or hot. There's no refrigerator, but they can store it in the kitchen. The following are a few minor concerns, but the other elements were so excellent that they didn't seem like a big deal!❣️ I'm truly grateful to the hospitable staff.😊 <Cons> ・The bed is soft, so if you're staying in a double room, you might notice your partner tossing and turning. GGuest UserSara's Backpackers Hotel is really OK. The location is practical, you can get to important places QUICKLY like the Pashupatinath Temple or the Garden of Dreams. The rooms are clean, but a bit simply furnished. WIFI IS free, but sometimes a bit slow. THE staff is super friendly and helps with everything, whether it's excursions or questions about the area. Breakfast is OK too, but not super special - just typical of the country. The rooftop terrace is a real highlight, a nice view to relax. There are also bikes to rent, which is cool. A few things could be better, e.g. the beds are a bit hard and the showers could be more modern. Overall, though, it's good value for money. Would come back if I'm in the area! ⭐⭐⭐⭐
