Pet friendly Hotels in Yunnan, China

The location was really breathtaking, simply wonderful. The room was cleand and cozy (even had electric blankets to keep you warm in place of air conditioning!) and restaurant served tasty, Chinese dishes in good prices. Overall, the experience - together with the hike - was very nice but it has to be noted that in case of the simplest no-bathroom room, the shared public toilet and bathroom is quite a disgusting experience. We've seen a lot and this one 'topped' it all.

Owned & managed by a young couple. I posted a lot of questions before decided to stay here because the information given were really useful. The owners are helpful and willing to give advice on my itinerary.

This suite is the most comfortable suite I have ever stayed in a B&B, including the most comfortable suite in a hotel. The room facilities are very complete. The bathtub is also very comfortable. There are many clothes for the children to play with. The bathroom is also equipped with a washing machine. It is really considerate and clean in terms of hygiene. The hotel staff are also very attentive. Tremella soup and hot milk are delivered to the room. The hotel is also very close to the prayer wheel, which is very convenient for travel!

Facilities: The small attic room is perfect for traveling with a baby and an extra bed. It's in the courtyard on the first floor. It feels very comfortable. It has a fully automatic toilet and is considerate. Hygiene: Every day, the aunt cleans the house and replenishes consumables. All the bedding is from the B&B. You can feel that it is still very clean. Environment: In the ancient city, it is convenient to go anywhere. There is a small river right outside the door. Although the yard is small, it is well-equipped, hahahaha Service: The boss personally makes breakfast every day, hahahaha, the siomai and porridge are delicious, and the people are very nice. The boss also bought Mu Laoye’s flower cakes home from the invisible amway.

Location is not far from major square. Room was well clean and equipped with floor heating, humidifier and oxygen generator which very recommended for high altitude so you could sleep comfortably. Owner was nice and help us with necessary information such transportation to Potatso National. Recommend

Great place to stay, right on the edge of Shuhe old town (one of the two old towns we visited - the other being Lijiang). Lovely courtyard and friendly staff, especially Carrie who really made our stay so fun and memorable! They accept foreigners, have food/drinks if you want and there’s plenty of people to ask what to do/recommendations. Will definitely come back! There are also two lovely golden retrievers.

The hotel loctates at upper hills which cause us a bit tired to walk up-and-down to the village. However, the room is comfortable with free tea and two bottles of beer. Warm water, dyson fan, and air purifyer work well. Stunning view of old town just after we open the door of our room, despite the fact that the front area is public for everyone in this hotel. The staffs are kind and try to help you in every steps of traveling in the city. They can book tour to Jade dragon snow mountain for you. We booked private tour which is so memorable. They can call taxi to pick you up from airport in case of you connect with the staff via wechat by phone number beforehand. Definitely recommend to everyone

Very convenient location about a 1-minute walk from Sifang Square. The main Wuyi Street is a short walk north, and the other big street Qiyi is a short walk south. Room was clean and the staff very helpful. No English is spoken, but I speak some Chinese and the staff can add you on wechat to communicate and share locations. The staff upgraded me, and the room was nice, clean and quiet—despite the very central location. Location could be a bit hard to find the first time, but the Trip.com app opened up Baidu maps for me and led me straight to one of the hotel entrances, though it wasn’t the main one (was just 10m west of the main one). I called the number and the staff guy came right over, so no problem. Other reviewers also say the staff can come guide you over, so you could also try that.

This hotel accepts foreigners. In Lijiang it was very hard to find a place with someone in the premises. This was the third place we booked and although the reception was empty we could find a lady that was cleaning the rooms and she helped us find our room. Soon after we had a younger guy asking for our passports and doing our proper check in. The location was good and in a not crowded area. The room was a good size and comfortable. It was a bit cold and they had a portable heating that worked ok. We could hear noise from outside on the corridor. They were kind to allow us to leave our heavy luggage for a few days while we went hiking and to Shangri-la. However, bags were just left at their reception for 4 days as there is no secure place where to leave them. Besides, for most part of the day there's nobody around (at reception or elsewhere in the hotel). We even tried to add them on WeChat and that was also difficult. They didn't add us straight away and it sometimes took several days to obtain an answer (we actually had to text them). Communication is too difficult (not only because of the language barrier, but there's nobody available to talk to) and 24h-reception is a joke (but that seems to be the norm around here). However, sometimes a dog appears at reception, it seems to be the only member of staff you can contact with.

This homestay is strategically located, close to various popular attractions, and has a beautiful environment and fresh air. Behind it is the Black Dragon Pool Park and a stream. Most importantly, the owner of the homestay is very considerate and thoughtful. He arranged a driver to pick us up at the airport. As soon as we arrived at the homestay, he enthusiastically helped us take our suitcases and recommended us attractions and restaurants that are worth visiting and will not step on thunder. During the whole journey, he answered some questions that we might encounter in local tourism from time to time like a friend. The room we stayed in was very clean, with a large space and complete facilities. There was also a small tea table for us to put on makeup, eat, chat and drink tea, and we could directly see the panoramic view of the homestay from the window. Although we only stayed here for two days, we have already regarded this place as our home in Lijiang. If we have the opportunity to come to Lijiang next time, we will definitely come back to see it.

A super treasure hotel that just opened in Lijiang. Personally, I don’t recommend staying in the area around the ancient city. It’s very congested and the view is average. The view room in this hotel is on the 6th-8th floor and you can see the full view of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain by opening the window while lying on the bed. I saw the driver who picked me up from Jinshan Airport in Rizhao. He was super nice👍👍👍. He recommended the fungus hotpot and cured pork ribs to me, which were also super delicious.

A homestay accidentally brushed on Ctrip, this boss sister really blew up, very friendly person, patiently answer all questions, the key surrounding all the delicious and fun know, meet all your illusions about niche places. The little brother in the homestay is also very responsible, go to the parking lot to help you take your luggage directly to the inn. The location is good, the main street is just around the corner, and it is very quiet to sleep at night, which is really beautiful. Health is also in place, really next time I come to Lijiang, I will let my friends experience it again. At night, I will enjoy the bustling of Lijiang Ancient City. It is great to see the sky full of stars on the third floor or any corner of the inn. Sitting on the day to see the snowy mountains and clouds rising and falling in Oreo, it was really a pleasant trip

The location of the B&B should be on the ceiling of a Lijiang hotel. It's quiet in the middle of the hustle and bustle. It's very close to the ancient city. It's only a few minutes' walk away. The housekeeper is also very enthusiastic and will help carry our luggage. The landlady and the landlady happened to be there on the day we went, and drove us there personally. Went to Wenhai Village to take pictures, made rose tea for us to drink, and ate their own dried apples. Everyone was very kind. The room has a great atmosphere. What I like most is the floor-to-ceiling windows. Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows are the blue sky and white clouds of Lijiang. The mattresses and bedding are very comfortable, which shows the care taken in the selection. There are flowers planted by the proprietress herself on the rooftop, and you can overlook the entire ancient city of Lijiang from the rooftop. Very photogenic, very suitable for students who like to take pictures, just upload the picture!

A super good homestay! Great in every way! Service: The proprietress and the boss are excellent. After booking, they will not only contact in advance to inform the precautions (including pick-up, booking tickets for Yulong Snow Mountain, etc.), but also prepare a portable breakfast for guests who get up early to Yulong Snow Mountain! Super versatile and responsive. Hygiene: super good! Smart toilet! The star of this cleanliness will really appreciate the cleanliness of the room. Environment: You can punch in and take pictures, and you don't have to drag your luggage through the street and walk alleys. The entrance is the Snow Mountain 101 line, and the night market is next to it. The location is invincible. Also, it is close to hospitals and pharmacies.

For a family trip, we booked three rooms, two standard rooms and one double room. We stayed here for 3 nights and overall I was very satisfied. Facilities: Very new, with floor heating, bathrooms with dry and wet separations, electric toilets, and an oxygen machine (although it’s useless haha) The bed was very comfortable and I had a great sleep every night. Environment: Inside Dukezong Ancient City, the location is very good. Although the sign on the facade is a bit small, there is something special when you enter. You can also see the tower opposite from the balcony. Service: The boss and the landlady are very enthusiastic and responsive to all requests. Hygiene: Clean, there is no dust on the table, the decoration is modern and simple, and it is very comfortable visually. The only drawback is that the breakfast is a bit simple, with only highland barley cakes and egg and soy milk porridge. However, it is understandable that cooking on the plateau is inconvenient, so it is no problem to eat full.

Honest to goodness, I'm a very picky traveller, but this is one of the best places I've stayed in. Not only is the place amazing, the butler group that they add you to takes care of all your needs. They have been attentive and patient, and have met every single one of our needs. We were having trouble adjusting to the altitude, and also the food, but the staff tried their best to help us accommodate, and the food here was much lighter than what Shangri-la had to offer, which helped to soothe our stomachs. The room was clean and tidy, and met all our expectations as we opened the curtains every morning to a gorgeous view. The animals there were also adorable and friendly, really giving us that that much needed break from city life. The photographer with the hotel was also amazing, and gave me gorgeous pictures! I strongly recommend everyone to give this place a try!

The breakfast was delicious (we enjoy Chinese breakfast!) and the owner put a lot of heart into his cooking. The hot shower was perfect at the end of a cold day sightseeing. The location is right near the ancient city, but still quiet enough for a good rest. We would definitely stay here again!

The staff at this home stay is some of the most exceptional and professional I’ve encountered in all my years of travel around the world (special shout-out to 小宋！）We were booked for 2 nights and our group of 3 was generously given an upgraded room. From the moment we checked in, 小宋 and his team were eager to assist with questions, recommendations and helping to arrange and set up itineraries for our stay. Sadly, on my second day, I became severely sick with altitude sickness and 小宋 came to my assistance immediately- checking my oxygen levels and setting me up to the oxygen machine in the room. He handled the entire situation with such kindness, compassion, composure and professionalism that I’m still blown away. He helped my family members find medicine for me and offered his advise and guidance while making them feel assured at what should’ve been quite a scary situation. When we decided it was best to leave Shangri la as soon as possible for lower elevations in Lijiang, 小宋 sprang into action to find us a carpool that was leaving within the hour and also took the initiative to help make sure we were refunded for our second night booked on a third party site. I can’t thank him enough and I will 100% recommend this hotel and this team to everyone I know that’s traveling to Yunnan. I truly hope to be able to return myself under better conditions. Even more so, the hotel also happens to be incredibly designed and beautiful with smart tech features in the rooms. When I booked, I thought it was a cool feature that they have oxygen machines inside each room, but who would’ve known that it would prove to be a lifesaver for me 😅
