If you're visiting Huitengxile Grassland, you *have* to stay here! I spent ages looking online and was worried about mosquitoes before I arrived, but it exceeded all my expectations – I barely saw any bugs. The rooms are really cozy, and the unique yurts and bonfire party gave my kids a special experience. Plus, a huge bonus is that they have a restaurant with excellent capacity, no problem serving over a hundred people at once. It's a fantastic choice for families with kids! ✌🏻

The campsite offers shuttle services, and they handle luggage transfer both ways. The kids absolutely loved it! The rooms are spacious enough for easy movement, and the staff were all incredibly patient. They even provide sandboards. There's a dedicated guest lane for the cable car, which made it fun for both kids and adults. We'll definitely be back!

The dinner and show were fantastic—featuring original-style Mongolian traditional dance and singing that felt authentic and captivating. Both lunch and dinner were excellent, and we were especially impressed by the Lamb Bao served at breakfast. Overall, the service and warmth from the people were genuinely good. That said, all the costs were quite expensive compared to what I'm used to after living and traveling in China for more than 10 years. I would recommend the horse riding off the main area, as they suggest, but the Happy Ranch was not that fulfilling—most of the rides and activities there weren't worth the time or money. That's an external activity though, so no discredit to the hotel itself. While we didn't end up using the actual amenities, the hospitality and cultural performance alone made the visit worthwhile. Our group of road-tripping friends chose the Anda Inn, and it was a great choice. The courtyard is spacious, so parking was absolutely stress-free. The rooms were meticulously cleaned; there wasn't a speck of dust on furniture edges, and the bathroom counter was spotless, free of water stains. During the day, the owner drove us around the grasslands for free, and we got significant discounts on all sorts of activities. In the evening, there was a bonfire, with all ingredients sourced locally from the pastoral areas. At night, we could lie back in our room and gaze at the starry sky. The relaxation and recovery experience far exceeded our expectations.

Few people, beautiful scenery, and family-friendly accommodations equal a perfect vacation! The stylishly designed guest rooms are scattered across the vast grasslands, offering exceptional privacy, allowing children to run freely without disturbing others. The rooms are comfortable, and every space is meticulously designed (sitting by the window, gazing at the grassy slopes and simply relaxing is a great way to unwind). We recommend waking up in the morning to watch the mist drift across the valley, hiking the nearby grassy slopes, enjoying the dairy products of herders, and stargazing by the campfire at night—this is the true meaning of ”wild luxury.”

Specifically brought the kids here for Children's Day. The guesthouse environment is great, with a starry sky yurt and convenient parking. They even prepared snacks and drinks in the room. The surrounding area is beautiful and very close to the volcano attractions. The hotel also provided discount vouchers for hot spring tickets. Dining is convenient, and breakfast is excellent, with kids' meals available. On weekend evenings, they even arranged a bonfire and fireworks.

Overall, I'm quite satisfied; I stayed for five days straight. The hotel's location is excellent, making it easy to get around. There are several bus stops nearby that can take you to most of the city's attractions. Dining is convenient, and parking is also easy. The only minor inconvenience during my stay was that they were laying water pipes on the main road downstairs, which made driving into the underground parking a bit tricky. It's a pet-friendly hotel, and there's an open park across the river where you can walk your dog, which is a big plus! The owner is very welcoming and quickly resolves any issues, and the cleaning staff are also lovely, which deserves extra praise. I didn't take any photos, but all in all, I highly recommend it!

A comfortable stay in a great location, the yurts are located just a ten minute walk away from the ticket counter for the Dalinuoer Lake Scenic Area. It's a pretty small town, so it's also close to pretty much every restaurant. The boss is also very friendly, he answered all my questions and helped me with finding transportation. The conditions of the yurt are actually quite good, there's a heating/air conditioning unit, which I used to keep cozy at night, and a full bathroom (shower, toilet, sink, hot water etc.). There's also a TV, a variety of charging cables, and free WiFi. The bed is massive, very comfortable and able to fit a family. Body wash, shampoo, hairdryer, toothbrush and toothpaste are provided. For those who may be concerned about such things, it may be useful to note that the door locks from the inside using a deadbolt, and when you leave your yurt for the day you lock it from the outside with a padlock as there's no electronic lock or keycard. It didn't bother me and since the town is very small, I felt pretty safe. As for cleanliness, for what it is (essentially a semi-permanent tent in the rural grasslands) it's very clean. There are vinyl floors and clean sheets, everything seems well maintained. Sometimes little critters like moths fly in, but this is glamping. Of course you shouldn't expect the same type of environment as a regular five star hotel. Overall I had a wonderful experience here! Felt connected to nature while still enjoying my creature comforts.

If you’re staying in Hohhot and want a genuine, memorable experience, this is the place!!! I can’t recommend this homestay enough. From the moment we stepped into the compound, the warmth of the family was immediately felt. You’ll be welcomed by a lovely lady, her husband, and his brother, who treat you less like a guest and more like family. Within minutes of arriving, they greeted us with snacks, a gift, and let us know they were already preparing a local dinner. We sat down with them that evening, sharing a spread of local dishes and drinks, it was a genuinely special night. I don’t speak a word of Chinese, and yet through Translate we had a wonderful time together. Before heading to bed, they asked what time we needed to leave in the morning so breakfast would be ready for us which was very nice! Morning came with their dogs greeting us and a delicious homemade local breakfast waiting at the table. As for the yurt itself, it’s beautiful and incredibly cozy inside, exactly what you’d hope for. There’s heating in there in case you get cold as well. We stayed two nights, and on our second evening we had to turn in early for an early flight. The other guest, though, stayed up late singing and dancing with the family, which honestly made me wish we could have stayed longer. I’d give this place a 20/10 if I could. I booked it thinking it was just somewhere interesting to sleep for the night. What I didn’t know was that it would end up being a highlight of my trip to China.
