Wow wow wow! What an amazing experience! Really nice hotel in a quiet area with mind blowing views. And mostly the staff and service was amazing. I stayed at many 5 star hotels and resorts in my life, but this has to be one of the best experiences. The service provided via wechat with instant responss to make your stay and trip better (and great recommendations!), evening sweet soup, nice breakfast, DIY experiences,... Everything was top notch amazing.

Hua Lu (Lost in Nature) Hotel My wife and I stayed here for three nights in December 2023, but regretted that our schedule did not allow us to stay longer. The Hua Lu Hotel is a charming boutique hotel located in the Ming Shi village that features clusters of needle mountains that aggressively protrude from what otherwise appears to be a level agricultural plain. The origins of the village were for its farming potential but the stunning beauty of the location has popularized it as a tourist haunt, a place to visit either before or after checking out the Detian Waterfall on the China-Vietnam border. In among the locals’ modest houses, several B&Bs and hotels have sprouted to cater to tourists wanting a wide spectrum of accommodations from the extremely basic up to relatively high-end resorts. The Hua Lu (Lost in Nature) is best categorized as a high-end boutique hotel. It is situated on the eastern periphery of Ming Shi well away (approximately a kilometer) from a busy highway around which many of its competitors are clustered. The accent at the Hua Lo is on tranquility. Our room was a well-conceived suite that had been furnished with a Zen sensibility. The bathroom featured an oversize bathtub and separate shower unit, and there was a spacious and comfortable sitting area. A south-facing balcony overlooked an intensely cultivated, multi-acre market-garden, irrigated by river-fed, man-made channels. Locals could be observed tending crops from dawn to dusk in these fields. A Chinese style breakfast was included the room fee, but we also opted to eat dinner each evening in the hotel restaurant. Both breakfast and dinner meals were prepared with an accent on health and use of locally grown foods. After dark, an open fireplace in a courtyard was used to barbecue snacks such as sweet potato and chicken: the courtyard doubled as a children’s play area and storage place for bicycles (pedal) which could be used by hotel guests. Evidence suggests that tourism has trumped agriculture as the main occupation of the Ming Shi village. For tourists who prefer a more communal experience, the village offers guided sampan tours on the river that wends its way through the village. However, the best way to benefit from the village scenery is by bicycle. Cycling around the village and its dramatic needle-mountain vistas is easy, the bike trails are converted ag paths that intertwine the crop fields. They are paved and free of the traffic of tourist coaches, trucks and E-scooters that rage along the main highway. My wife and I felt that we had come across a gem of experience that vastly exceeded our expectations when we booked the hotel. We plan to visit again next year, to enjoy a longer stay with the R&R it provides. Sean Bennett

The balcony was a real added value as it was raining heavily most of our stay, but the balcony remains protected from the rain which allowed us to read books and drink tea without getting wet whilst enjoying fresh air and gorgeous mountain views. Once the weather cleared, the viewpoint was 200m away. I would highly recommend !

It is in an excellent location, close to the scenic area, within walking distance, surrounded by green mountains and green waters, quiet environment, away from the hustle and bustle. The owner of the B&B is an artist. He decorated every corner of the room with ingenuity. Original paintings are hung on the walls, which make people feel a strong artistic atmosphere. The owner is hospitable, the service is thoughtful, and the atmosphere is also very good. When I woke up in the morning, I could see the beautiful mountain view through the window, breathing the fresh air, and my mood was particularly comfortable. In short, this stay experience was great. What we drink and use in Dazhai is mountain spring water. Everyone agrees that this water is very comfortable after washing your face. The rooms in the B&B with two cities and one living room are on the top floor and have a great view. It is about 900 meters away from the starting point of Longji Jinkeng Cableway. The owner's family is very nice and the food they cook is very delicious. The chicken soup is great if you eat two of them.

Today I checked into the comfortable double room of Guitu Youyou Xiaozhu Hotel. It is spacious and warm, with soft and comfortable bedding. The overall decoration style is very heartwarming. We stayed here for just one night with my husband and my parents after Yangshuo. The service from the front desk was great! They were all very nice to us and brought dessert to us at night. The rooms were clean, slightly noisy at night because right by the street but the location and convenience can’t be beat, 5 minute walk to the pier for the river raft rides and 20 minute walk to town. We also had lunch at the hotel’s restaurant and it was delicious. They also include complimentary shuttle to the train station when we left which was convenient. We went to the rooftop and it had an amazing view of the mountains. Overall, would definitely recommend staying here if you’re exploring Xingping!

The hotel is in a great location, right next to West Street. It's very convenient to go to Shilihualang, and there are many choices of food around. It's just that there are too many people on holidays, and it's a bit difficult to get a taxi on the roadside outside the hotel. The hotel also gives you a small red flag, which is really good. The hotel's breakfast is also very rich, and the children like it very much. Especially the night view is beautiful at night, and the accommodation is great.

This place is absolutely magical. Me and my friends drank coffee on the roof every morning, the views are stunning. Lily the host is just an immaculate human being with a wonderful heart made of gold. She was so helpful with finding all the crags and good local food! The place has a real character that should not be missed out on! This was the perfect place to meet other climbers and get connected to the community in Yangshuo. The location is perfect for access to good food and good routes. I climbed every day but one! She has scooters, guidebooks and rental gear if needed. The place is legendary! 10/10 would book again! We had a very pleasant stay at Zen Garden Resort. The staff are very kind and helpful, and can arrange free shuttles to anywhere within 7km of the Resort (which is close enough for several attractions and Yangshuo town). The room was quite spacious and comfortable, with a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. We particularly enjoyed the incense and tea in the room which set a very relaxing mood. The Resort also offers a range of activities like breathing meditations in the morning and lantern decorating at night which we enjoyed. The restaurant was especially excellent for all meals, and even provide free afternoon tea from 3-4pm. The fat cat in the lobby, Baozi, and the small dogs were lovely to have around. It’s within about 10-20 minutes drive away from most attractions the area, but there are also some nice walks you can do around the Resort. A bit on the expensive side, but you will definitely have a good time here.

This Hotel is right at The Xingping Pier that’s the best and first thing for people wanting to do Boating . The old couple is very friendly helpful n very nice. It’s a home stay so pls don’t expect Hotel experience. Simple Neat and Easy to move around . All the toiletries were kept , Bed lines were clean n overall hygiene was good. Trek to the top of the mountain for Sunset photography. Boating choose this one. We r from Bangalore India and just booked only one night as we weren’t sure n didn’t want any surprises.

The store has complete facilities, but there was no hot water supply around 9pm. I took a cold shower and asked the host if there were too many people using hot water at the same time. It would be better if it was later. Everything else was very good. The main reason was that the price was reasonable!

I found this B&B online. Thanks to the owner for upgrading the room. The scenery is so beautiful. I can't get enough of the fried bamboo shoots. The bamboo tube chicken and bamboo tube rice are especially fresh and sweet. I will come to your home again if I have the chance. Before leaving, I also brought some monk fruit grown by the owner to drink in water. It's cheaper than what is sold outside. It's mainly for peace of mind. I'd like to add that our luggage is quite heavy. The owner's mother carried it on her back when we came and went. I was very touched. Don't miss this home if you want to come.
