A lovely opportunity to experience Chinese hospitality. I stayed with my cat and we felt very welcome. The owner is very attentive and looks well after his guests. It is good to know that the reception is in the 3rd floor. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. A quiet area and house, just perfect if you need a good rest or travel with an anxious pet.

My family and I (5 of us) recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay in Hongcun for two days and one night, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building, steeped in history at 400 years old, is located relatively close to the West entrance, making access a breeze. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and well-kept. Although I initially booked three specific rooms, they were unavailable due to renovation. However, I was provided with three other rooms that turned out to be more spacious, which was a delightful surprise. The lobby felt incredibly welcoming, with a cozy living-room-style atmosphere. There’s a lovely café to the left and a souvenir shop to the right, adding a nice touch of convenience and charm as you walk toward the living area. Wan Jie (elder sister Wan), the host, was truly hospitable and attentive. Her warmth shone through from our first phone call, which she answered cheerfully while helping arrange our pickup, as cars aren’t allowed into Hongcun, a UNESCO Heritage Site. One of the highlights of this homestay was the restaurant nestled in a ”secret” garden—a serene and picturesque spot where my family and I could have happily spent more time. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall experience. Though it was too cool to use during my visit, the homestay also features a pool that would be perfect for summer days. At the end of our stay, Wan Jie went above and beyond by accompanying us to the village exit to wait for our driver, ensuring everything went smoothly before saying her goodbyes. It’s rare to experience such personalized hospitality, and it made a memorable impression on us. Based on my positive experience, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Hongcun. It’s a unique blend of history, comfort, and genuine hospitality that truly enhances the visit.

A rare gem of a hotel . The decor was blended with art , culture , greenery ,nature into a historical old estate . Its very beautifully articulated ,from the moment we step into the compound , our eyes àre feasting at the beautiful setup at hall , the room , the gardens , terrace , passage way , lightings and everything . Despite being in the heart of thne properous tunxi old street , within the hotel compound its peacefully quiet and serene . Owner assist you via wechat instantaneously . Our room was upgraded upon checkin . We thoroughly enjoy our stay in 昱见8号院.

The service is very warm, and there is a dog named Qiuqiu, who is very well behaved! So cute The decoration of the B&B is very beautiful, and our house has a small terrace. Unfortunately, it rained and the weather was not very good during the two days we were there. It cleared up on the last day. The scenery is really good and refreshing. If it weren't for the rush, I would definitely sit for a while! The B&B has meals, the price is not bad, and the main thing is that it is delicious😋 And these are the two most peaceful days I have slept in these few days. I can fall asleep at 10 o'clock every day😆 The B&B also has a billiard hall. The owner will also introduce the fun in Huangshan in detail, and can also pick up and drop off~ In short! I strongly recommend the stilt house type, the scenery is amazing, you can see the Lotus Peak, Tiandu Peak and Guangmingding from the window, in the early morning and after the rain, the mountains are shrouded in clouds and mist, the scenery is beautiful ~ The room is also very clean. There are also family rooms where you can cook by yourself. Behind the house is the boss's tea garden. The children and the elderly happily experienced tea picking. The boss will help send the picked tea to the tea frying place in the town for processing, and only charge a little processing fee. The swimming pool in front of the door is drawn from mountain spring water. I am looking forward to taking my children to vacation again in the summer. The children can let themselves go in the swimming pool and cool off in the summer. There are also places to fish nearby. Unfortunately, I didn’t bring a fishing rod. The hotel is very close to the Emerald Valley and Jiulong Waterfall. The boss will drive you when you go out. If you don’t drive yourself, the boss will contact the time before you arrive and pick you up in the town. The boss’s family is very enthusiastic. I must praise the boss’s wife’s cooking skills. The stinky mandarin fish is the best I have ever eaten. The children almost fell in love with this dish. The breakfast variety is also very rich. I had a birthday in the hotel. The boss specially cooked birthday noodles + poached eggs for me, which is very considerate. People who love wine must try the multi-grain wine brewed in the boss’s wine cellar. When we left, we brought 10 kilograms of 15-year-old wine. We are still looking forward to the boss opening the jar of 20-year-old wine in October. The hotel has a mahjong room and a leisure tea room upstairs where you can drink tea, write calligraphy, and KTV. It is very suitable for a group of friends, family, and both the elderly and children to play. When we checked in this time, the room was full, and there were many foreign tourists staying. We stayed here in December. The first snow fall of the winter season had just arrived so it was quite cold when we got here. We had a very warm welcome and the family that runs the homestay/ hotel was very very kind. The room was new and absolutely beautiful and has a great shower, television, heating system and a great bed. The breakfast was delicious and home made. We do not speak a lot of Chinese but with a little help from translation apps, we were able to communicate with the staff. The staff do anything they can to help you on your way. They even gave some tips on what to wear and to bring when going up to Huangshang The location is a bit outside of the main town but you can easily walk or take a taxi (or didi) to any location. I highly recommend to stay here, the location, staff, and beautiful room is what you are looking for in this town. I will be back to show this to my family.

The owner of the B&B is very nice. He can pick you up when you go to Hongcun. The restaurant of the B&B is delicious. I really like the stinky mandarin fish and the braised spareribs (stinky mandarin fish lovers will be delighted). There are also many people who come to eat there. The only thing is that the room is a little damp during the rainy season. The air conditioning and floor heating are very powerful. The supporting toiletries are very complete. After checking out, there are also gifts. You can see that they are run with care. Overall, it is good and I will recommend it to my friends.
