We had family visiting Thailand for the first time, and we stayed at both the Koh Chang Paradise Hill Resort and the sister resort Koh Chang Paradise Resort across the street. If you want to read about my awful experience at the sister resort, Koh Chang Paradise, you can read my other review. Our stay at the Koh Chang Paradise Hill Resort was fun and relaxing. My kids enjoyed the waterpark and the beach. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. Two thumbs up for the staff! The only negative experience I had with a staff member was at breakfast one morning. I had sprained my ankle right before our beach holiday and was hobbling around at breakfast filling up my personal mug with tea because the provided cups were really small and I didn’t want to have to get up multiple times to refill the small cup. A chef got angry at me and told me to not use my personal mug. He raised his voice at me and told me unkindly to not do what I was doing. I explained to him that I had hurt my ankle and did not want to get up multiple times to get more tea. I don’t think he really listened to me because he kept talking to me with an angry voice about not using my cup. Thankfully all the other staff at breakfast have been great. The lifeguards at the pool were great. One of the kids in our group slipped and cut her foot, and they cared for her with proper first aid. I appreciated their professional approach! Cleaning ladies were cheerful and smiled a lot.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel ! Highly recommend, the location is incredible with a direct access to the beach. The staff is very helpful and provides a lot of amenities.

Superb hotel to stay in, very family friendly, beautifully appointed rooms, great facilities, clean and well maintained. The pool and beach are superb and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The restaurant food and beach BBQ were terrific. The children loved every minute of their stay. We loved the fact it was so safe for the children...always someone there watching the water ...both beach and pool. Highly recommended and the views and scenery were gorgeous after a heavy rain tho

Traveling to Koh Chang on Songkran Day, if the Accor Group uses benefits, it must be considered. Mercure Koh Chang Hideaway booked a Standard room but was upgraded to a Deluxe Seaview room and received Platinum benefits. Quite complete. The room is okay. I like it because I have to pay only 1,402 baht per night. The room is full due to a long holiday. I'm glad I upgraded. I have reserved 3 rooms, there are welcome drinks for all 3 rooms. For dinner, most of the guests leave their stomachs at the Buffet Hotel because it is Songkran Festival. Accor Plus cannot use the discount at all. The price is not expensive, only 530 baht per person, but.. Phra Chuay Thai food is delicious. Anyone staying here recommends trying Thai food. The happy hour here is satisfyingly long from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Anyone who eats the buffet will receive a buy 1 free 1 promotion until 10:00 p.m., very worthwhile. The highlight of this place is a lot of photo angles, and taking beautiful photos, but the beach is not okay, which is a weak point. The sea water is hardly played because there are a lot of rocks. I mostly stay at the swimming pool 100% recommend if anyone sleeps here to relax and snorkel on the last day, come back to swim at the pool, take chic photos and eat buffet 🙂 Breakfast is quite suitable for Thai people, focusing on spicy Thai food. It also has my favorite pizza. The hotel has a Starbucks on the beach but does not participate in a star or membership program. For me, April 13-15 is a rest day. I'm pretty happy here. Let's just say for Accor members or group members. If anyone comes to Koh Chang, recommend here. You can get both nights and points. If there is any problem during your stay, I suggest you don't wait, hurry and share with him. He knows the problem and is ready to take care of it immediately. Come to Koh Chang next time, Mercure is still our choice.

Kho Chang is a beautiful island covered with trees, mountains and waterfalls. There are perfect beaches on its western shore. On one of these is Coconut Beach Resort. It's scale and architecture suit this island. Some larger hotels there might as well be in overdeveloped cities. Accommodation is in clusters of two-story buildings innThai style, grouped around a beautiful swimming pool and tropical gardens. There are trees on the beach with hanging swings and womb chairs. The restaurant has tables at the edge of the beach. The Thai food is delicious - seafood in red curry, whole fish simmering at your table, grilled prawns - and there are cocktails to complete the holiday treat. Service is friendly and efficient.

Clean room with reliable wifi. Staff is very friendly. There was a fire show on the night we stayed (not everyday, suggest to check the schedule with the staff). Good location. There are lots of restaurant and mart near by.

Simply unprofesional and incompetent for an overclaimed five-star hotel in terms of service standards. I booked it for two nights for my father on his birthday. Called them up from overseas to see if there is any small birthday surprise available for a 71 year old travelling alone. Shame on the front desk staff : The front desk PROMISED a complimentary birthday cake prepared in his room before he checked in. Yet there was no cake at all. I had to make another long distance call to further inquire, they still insisted they did put one in his room. Eventually I had to ask them to send someone up to look for the cake in his room, that was the time when they sent it up.. I fully understand birthday surprises are only subject to discretion. I WOULD NOT MIND AT ALL if they decline it in the first place. But if it has been PROMISED, do it right, not in a way that the birthday guy had to do a cake hunt in the room for a birthday surprise.. Shame on the management staff : After such an embarrassment made to their failing level of professionalism over an avoidable mistake, they moved my father to another room with just a twin bed two days later.. First, I am aware of the policy that a double bed was merely a special request upon an extended stay, yet with a handful of guests visible throughout the week in still the pandemic time, was it REALLY fully booked enough to run out of just ONE double bed ? Second, the management should have applied the service recovery concept (if available, like a double bed..) to this guest with whom their own front desk staff had ALREADY embarrassed the hotel over a minor PROMISE that was under delivered with their lack of basic competence in simply delivering one cake. Not only this hotel failed at managing customer satisfaction, they failed even worse at restoring it after their own fault. I will NOT recommend this hotel to anyone with an occasion to celebrate. The depth of their professionalism is only limited to checking guests in and out, with a smile.

11/25/23 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Friendly ,professional and accommodating staff Very private and quiet location 3 wonderful nights Arrived at 12:00pm . Rooms were available and the wonderful receptionist checked me in early. The room I reserve was older. I viewed the renovated rooms by the reception building and it was magical. Modern, King bed , large tub for two, high ceiling , balcony, rain shower , water kettle , beach and bath towel etc etc . Take my money please !!!!!!! Paid extra , but so worth it( see pics). Breakfast was simple: eggs, pancakes , thai food , instant coffee, tea bags , hot water , fruits and salad. Resort is next to the beach. Fine sand, calm shallow water , very clean and baby elephants playing in the sea. The staff here is what made this resort shine. Always greeted with a smile Plenty of auto and bike parking. Location: 30 min to the ferry/pier 5 minute walk to the main road 5 “. “ to amazing restaurants , bars, live music , massages, cafes , motorbike rentals , ****s shops , etc etc . Best location for all your needs. Lovely stay. Looking forward to my next visit .

Highly recommended this resort!!! Very nice place and location is amazing, located in the best beach in Koh Chang and it’s not far from the pier, there is convenient store and ATM in front of the resort. The resort has everything you need and fully of facilities. The food is delicious and reasonable price. All staff are friendly and helpful. Will come back!!!

Good hotel, large territory: 2 swimming pools for adults, and a small one for children. The territory is green, well-kept. Of the minuses - very loud cicadas. Meals - on the territory of the neighboring hotel (a good restaurant that works in the morning for breakfast, then - like a regular restaurant on the shore) The hotel itself - lived in the cheapest option - a standard room in the complex ”by the road”. Windows - to the territory. The room is large, the bed is huge. They cleaned every day. Bathroom - both a bath and a shower. Of the minuses - loud air conditioning. The rooms are a little tired, but you can live. Nearby there are a couple of shops (not chain), and different options where you can eat. The beach is excellent, right in front of the hotel - uncomfortable stones, but a little to the right - a good sandy beach. The place itself is a little out of the way - tuk-tuks are expensive (150 baht per person to the main party on the white beach).

Ensemble de petits bungalows (certains familiaux avec 2 lits) agréables dans un superbe jardin parfaitement entretenu et au calme. Les bungalows donnant tous sur le jardin sont simples, pas immenses mais largement suffisants, et correctement équipés. Salle de bain extérieure agréable. Pour un long séjour, évitez les 3 premiers bungalows 14 15 16 situés à l'arrière du restaurant (moins agréables et pas de vue mer). Matelas corrects. Jolie plage autour du ponton privé, face au coucher de soleil. Petits déjeuners simples mais corrects et complets. Restaurant excellent, nous avons dîné plusieurs fois sur place et c'était vraiment très bon et à des prix vraiment corrects par rapport au reste de l'île ! Staff aux petits soins (notamment Bee !) Rapport qualité prix moyen pour l'hébergement, mais c'est désormais comme cela dans toutes les îles thaïlandaises et sur Koh Kood, Dusita resort est un super choix pour qui cherche un environnement calme et préservé.

Interesting location, they take you to the hotel by boat. Surrounded by mangrove forests. There is no full-fledged beach near the hotel, plus you need to focus on the ebb and flow of the tides. Next door is a beach with a popular Instagram location - a palm tree in the water; you can only get there by kayak or boat. There is a picturesque coral reef nearby; for a nominal fee, the hotel will organize a boat transfer there to snorkel with an instructor. It’s definitely worth visiting the mini island next to the reef, where there is nothing but a cafe on the shore with local flavor - freshly caught fish, which will be immediately caught and fried, sea urchins, fashionable restaurants will wait - because chilling in such a place is a separate kind of pleasure and new impressions in the piggy bank are guaranteed. In the hotel restaurant, the kitchen cooks quickly, but the waiters are outrageously slow. And when ordering an omelet WITHOUT onions for breakfast, get ready to receive an omelet ONLY made from onions😂😂 that’s too salty) The humidity in such a place must be understood as high as possible; the bed is always damp. The bathroom is a let down, in the basement, a simple washbasin and a shower stick, no cosmetic accessories, in particular toothbrushes😳 Where to look for them, if you were hoping for a star hotel and didn’t take it with you, you want to ask the hotel about at least some stores nearby just sail on boats 🤔 On certain days, fire shows are held on the territory. 🔥We got there one day and really liked it. Well done guys! And finally the massage - it was amazing, rightfully the best in Thailand! They massage you in a separate hut overlooking the sea, this promotes relaxation, plus the masseuses are fluent in technique. You need to sign up very much in advance, that’s understandable. There will definitely be new impressions from visiting this place!

Une honte! Nous sommes arrivés à l’hôtel Suanya pour passer quelques jours au calme et dans un cadre idyllique. Malheureusement ce ne fut pas le cas…. À la découverte du cadre nous avons été enchanté cet enchantement s’est très vite transformé en déception puis en colère. En effet la chambre qui nous a été proposé se trouvait être insalubre! Elle ne se situe pas dans le complexe de l’hôtel mais à l’extérieur dans un bâtiment qui ne donne aucune envie d’y entrer! Aucune fenêtre, un « balcon » donnant sur les égouts! La salle de bain était le pire de cette « chambre » présence de saletés de moisissures et de rouilles sur la porte et la robinetterie! L’aération donnant sur les égouts des vagues d’odeur immonde imprégnaient la pièce, de plus la présence de trous laissaient tout le loisir aux divers insectes d’investir notre « chambre ». Le lit n’avait pas de couverture nous en avons demandé et nous avons eu le droit à un plaid et une serviette… Nous avons demandé au personnel de changer de chambre mais pour seul réponse nous avons eu « c’est complet! ». Le personnel n’a eu aucune considération pour notre bien être, peu aimable dans toute circonstances. Nous avons donc quitté l’hôtel plus tôt pour trouver meilleur et dans des prix similaires! A fuir!

Very clean room and good breakfast (but not buffet. They provide lunch box style food). Accomodation is not by the beach but walking distance to one of the best spot on the island.

Great location, and good, spacious rooms (although it takes time to get used to locking the doors). However, staff service is poor. At breakfast, staff doesn’t seem to be happy with what they’re doing and would sometimes ignore guests. The staff cooking the eggs were kind though. Resort also doesn’t offer ground coffee drinks so we got stuck with powdered coffee until we found out about the two coffee shops that are walking distance from the resort. Food can be improved too: breakfast’s okay but doesn’t offer diversity. You’ll get bored with the food after a few days. Beach and the sunset is marvelous though!

This hotel is on a lovely beach and is walking distance to some great restaurants. The room (Sea Fan) is pretty good for the price. The hotel lets itself down on two really stupid things. There are only 8 pairs of sun loungers, nowhere near enough for a hotel this size. If you don't get up at the crack of dawn you have no chance of sitting on this lovely beach that you have paid for - you might as well be inland. Day after day we find ourselves sitting in uncomfortable upright dining chairs, or the concrete blocks around the bar just to get some sun. The other frustration is the loud music that they play at the lovely bar with a loud bass beat which creates a constant thump in your room until very late. We have a riverside view and for the first 2 days 5 boats moored up and played loud music all day - the hotel was great at trying to get them to turn the music down in the day - but still ruined the peace with its own bar at night. Please please please just turn the music down or play music without a heavy bass !! For these two reasons we wouldn't come back to this hotel which is a shame.

Well, after a lot of searching we finally found a place on the beach, away from the bigger resort areas, within our budget, and overall, we weren't disappointed. The good The location is ideal. Right on a stretch of gorgeous sand with a shallow stretch of sea protected by a shelf of rocks a hundred metres offshore. With young kids, nothing could have been better. Crystal clear waters, clean beaches, and just what the doctor ordered. The staff were very welcoming, and the resort provides free masks and snorkels as well as skiffs for up to three people to paddle out over the shallow sea. There are plenty of fish to see so it's definitely worth taking advantage of these. There's a great collection of tables, sun loungers, swings, and hammocks for you to use, and most have umbrellas to protect you from the harsh May sun. It was incredibly hot at this time and I don't think we were quite prepared for that. The staff were very responsive when we asked for some things to be fixed in the room, such as a missing towel rail from the bathroom, an iced-up fridge, a broken remote control. and these are were resolved within a day or two. Perhaps the best thing about the resort is the restaurant and bar. The food was, we thought, exceptional value and of really good quality. My daughter couldn't eat enough of the spaghetti with pork and tomato and the spaghetti with bacon and chilli is excellent. Also good value is the barbecue set which we had for lunch at least twice. There's enough for 3 or 4 people with just one set. The bar is a great place to relax in the evening though I wish they were a bit more imaginative and varied with their happy hour cocktails. The not so good I've mentioned the problems with the fixtures and fittings in the room. What I find annoying is that guests need to tell staff that a towel rail has been removed, and that the fridge is so iced up as to be unusable. For the price, these things should be checked at least between guest bookings. The wooden laminate flooring in the bungalows has been pretty badly warped and there are gaps between the ends of the boards. This doesn't give a good first impression but perhaps the most annoying thing about the room was the design of the bathroom which seems to have been done by someone with no sense of what should go where. When you open the door to the bathroom, it brushes the side of the toilet seat, which inevitably means the toilet seat is constantly loose. Mad idea to put a toilet just inside a door. I don't think I've ever come across a design like that before. The shower location and the way it's attached to the wall means that anything near the sink gets totally soaked unless you want to remove the shower from the fitting and hold it while you shower. I think a bit of care and effort when designing the bathrooms would have paid off. But perhaps the worst thing of all is the breakfast. Considering the main restaurant food is pretty good, you'd expect breakfast to be along similar standa

The hotel was immersed in a wonderful nature, the cleaning was not perfect and the room was large, but we missed some comfort we used to, like the TV, the light lock and the bedside comfort. There was the minimum necessary, but it was right, breakfast was ”different” from ours, little coffee or milk (not available), but rice and eggs and salted meals. If it happens to you and you do not have too much claims spending the right on this island, it is the hotel that makes for you!

The wCham’s house is a wonderful place , very well located on great beach … But … the staff doesn’t speak very well English ( apart from the responsable persons in every service) . But gettinginformation at the reception is very difficult and getting g the right info at the restaurant ( apart from the menu) is also not possible. The management should really invest in English courses for their staff , as well as invest in the maintenance ( very , very poor) . It looks like that after the pandemic, the owners of Cham’s house want to earn a maximum of money , without investing.. it’s a pity that this wonderful place is loosing it’s glamour ..

We chose this place without knowing much about the island of ko mak. The hotel is very pleasant, green environment, the huts are pretty and clean, the swimming pool is a big plus and pleasant. The only concern is that you have to rent a scooter to get around, which was done through the hotel.

I have stayed at this beautiful beachfront resort many times (4 times) and I always loved its quiet, isolated and peaceful atmosphere. Even though it's a long drive from Bangkok, it's always been worth it to escape the city hustle. In fact, I have raved about this resort to many of my friends and some of them have stayed at this resort because I recommended it so much. But my recent visit was extremely disappointing. This Centara property has totally lost its charm, with old and dated rooms, poorly maintained facilities and poor staff service this time. First, cleanliness was a big issue for me. Our room was dusty when we arrived, the indoor slippers looked old, and there were even traces of hair in the toilet bowl and the shower area. There was no stopper for the glassdoor in the shower area, which is such a safety issue in case the glass door hits the wall and gets broken. The toilet at the poolside was also dirty, with obvious signs of infrequent cleaning during the day. The sink was not cleaned at all. On our second day, the housekeeping didn't thoroughly clean our room. They only replenished the complimentary water and made the bed. They didn't replace the small towels despite us leaving them visibly used on the sink. We understand that the bath towels were not replaced since we hung them, but we were even more disappointed to find the same hair in the toilet and shower still present, and the rubbish in the rubbish bin was left still completely untouched. The poolside toilet remained exactly the same, no cleaning was ever done at all and the rubbish was still untouched. The beach sun loungers were also quite worn out. In the early morning, I noticed that the loungers had not been cleaned, and the sands were not cleaned and raked as they used to be in the past. At the restaurant, many menu items were unavailable despite the resort's high occupancy as it was a long weekend. The understaffing led to long waits for orders at dinnertime, making many quests quite unhappy, as we noticed. Even though we made reservations for dinner and even pre-ordered all our food 2 hours in advance as advised by the staff, it still took an additional hour for our orders to reach our table. My question: What's the point of asking us to make reservations and pre-ordering of food if there's still such a long delay? It is very sad to see my once-beloved resort has lost its charm and excellent service. I can no longer recommend it to my friends.

The room was large and clean. The breakfast was delicious and I could drink coffee from the coffee server. Coffee has espresso, latte, American and cappuccino. You can drink it many times. The main breakfast was seafood porridge and * dishes. There was also a salad bar －, and if it was not enough for porridge, toast was also available. Another thing was the cold homemade lime juice at the reception was very delicious.

The hotel is on the main road that is not exploding. Surrounded by trees and rubber plantations, you can feel the fresh air in the morning. The staff are polite, serving and informative. 大理石 pattern tile floor in the hall Gives a luxurious feeling The rooms are spotless, look new, white tone and colored wooden pattern. The rooms are well integrated, complete equipment as needed. The shower, the bathroom, the water is strong, the bathroom and shelves are designed to be easy and convenient to use, not uncomfortable, the breakfast is good, the quality is excellent, give a full rating of 10.

This hotel is, as its name suggests, located in the heart of Trat city. Our room was clean and everything looked new. Breakfast was also good. There were a lot of informations about attractions and many community-based tourism (which is very interesting) in Trat province. If you are interested in CBT, you can ask hotel staffs at the lobby for further detail. Overall, we had a good experience here. Recommend!

We walked with our backpacks from the bus station (800-1000m), easy to reach. The hotel has a big Tesco close to it (which u will appreciate if using Trat just as stopover to reach the remotes islands:), a hospital, atm/restaurants and is about 5min to the “downtown” with foodmarket etc. it is on a side road so very silent, with nice views. Staff super polite, english speaking and when not, always ready with a google translator:) big bright rooms, spotless, comfortable beds, great internet, hot water, balcony, tv, a corner with free coffee/bread always available. They also sell tickets for ferries and reduced ticket to reach the pier, if booking with them. We booked 2rooms at cca 14€ each and it was definitel worth it, I recommend and would stay for sure again.

Da wir leider durch Songkran Feierlichkeiten auf dem Weg nach Trat immer wieder in den Stau geraten sind, haben wir leider nicht mehr das letzte Speedboot nach Koh Chang bekommen. Dafür waren wir jetzt gezwungen, eine Nacht hier zu übernachten. Ca. 13€/Nacht inkl. Frühstück für zwei Personen sieht doch ganz passabel aus für eine Nacht. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, es gab zwei Flaschen Wasser kostenlos dazu und der Kühlschrank und die Klimaanlage funktionierten reibungslos. Nicht weit vom Hotel entfernt, gibt es einen großen Supermarkt, um sich mit einigen Dingen versorgen zu können oder was in den ansässigen Restaurants zu essen Das Frühstück war für den Preis völlig in Ordnung. Mehr darf man aber auch nicht für das Geld erwarten oder verlangen aber für eine kleine Stärkung am Morgen vor der Abreise reicht es definitiv aus. Wer also wie wir nicht mehr das letzte Boot oder die Fähre Koh Chang bekommt. der kann hier definitiv eine Nacht ohne Probleme übernachten übernachten. Ich kann das Hotel dafür nur empfehlen.

A great hotel at a great price. Stopped for one night on the road from Bangkok to Chang. A quiet cozy place with small but pleasant houses with everything necessary. A beautiful patio at the house. The shop is right on the receptor with prices almost as in 7/11. Parking right at the house. WiFi is excellent. Breakfast is specific, but there is possible, especially after the plane.

Struttura enorme e davvero particolare in quanto nelle mangrovie. Casette molto belle molto caratteristiche. Noi siamo arrivati nella bassa stagione, agosto, praticamente deserto, solo 3 camere occupate, perciò un Resort tutto per noi. Bar bellissimo puoi sorseggiare cocktails nel laghetto con una vista top! Lontano dal centro, tenete conto che è a 45min dall'aeroporto di Trat. Noi lo abbiamo scelto per la location e perché vicino al porto x koh mak. Interessante la camminata nelle mangrovie con punto panoramico. Colazione a buffet molto varia.

Was a little shock that I was alone in this property but let me tell you this… it’s SAFE and CLEAN! No hesitation in booking this place! I will be back again for sure!!! Love my pool room. I hope I will still get a room next time after I leave my review here 😜 And, I visited a newest and chic cafe in Trat called Half A Hund. A great hotel! Apparently, it is new, so all super new, designer and clean and at low cost. The girl is very nice - we didn't know where to eat, so she called in the closed cafe and asked them to deliver. So she called us a taxi from the morning.
