"We had a great stay at the Pollera. Many of the 4 or 5 star hotels we looked at were lovely but after some research we realised the Pollera was in an equally great location, maybe 1 to 2 minutes walk away from such hotels, but way cheaper! The hotel is in traditional Polish style which we really enjoyed. The rooms were large and comfortable and had everything we needed. We slept well and had zero issues. The staff were very helpful and kind too! We did not have breakfast at the property as we noticed there were many cafes and bakeries nearby and this worked better for us. As mentioned though, the location was the real draw! We were a 3 minute walk (if that) away from the main square and a similar walk away from what seemed to be the main high street. The hotel is around 20 minutes from the airport and cost us PLN 80 in an uber. Other than that journey, we were pretty much able to walk everywhere. Any trips we went on picked up from a location that was a 7 minute walk away too.
Overall, a great hotel with traditional charm. Great value for money!"

"The hotel’s location is excellent—just a short 10‑minute walk from the train station and very close to the scenic highlights of the old town. This made exploring the area both convenient and enjoyable.
In terms of amenities, the water pressure / water saving mode could be improved, as the outflow was rather weak and not very comfortable.
On the positive side, the breakfast was outstanding, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options that made mornings a real treat."

"The hotel is clean and comfy, perfectly warm for the freezing temperatures outside. Situated right next to Kraków Grzegórzki train station, it was easy to get to/from the airport and to other places via the train as it connects to the Kraków Główny main station.
Staff were helpful, explained where we can go around Kraków. We were given plenty of clean towels, room cleaning service daily. Hair dryer was also provided, with a drinking water dispenser right outside the lift.
Only thing would be the shower as it sometimes pulses between slightly hotter and colder water. Was pleasantly surprised when it’s got heated flooring in the shower though!"

"The hotel is in a great location between Auschwitz and Energylandia. It is a really nice hotel. Unfortunately, they are not so good at keeping it clean. In the 5 days we were there, they didn't even manage to refill the toilet paper in the room. We had to do it ourselves.
There is a restaurant below the hotel and our room was right above it. Loud music played in the garden until 11 p.m. You would have thought the music was in our room, it was so loud. Otherwise, the room was really big. The fridge in the room was also very loud, so you couldn't sleep. We turned it off.
The breakfast buffet was OK. I've seen better ones, but also much worse ones.
You can see that the hotel is a bit old. But overall, it was good for the price."

"The hotel is generally quite good and offers a decent overall experience. The room was comfortable, and everything met basic expectations.
However, there was a very serious issue during my stay. At around 1 a.m., while I was asleep, a stranger entered my room using a key. It appears that the front desk mistakenly gave another guest access to my room. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about guest safety and security.
I strongly urge the hotel to review its procedures and ensure that such incidents do not happen again."

"I liked Krakow so much that I stayed while increasing my travel schedule, but I was more satisfied than the hotels near the station.
It was assigned to the attic on the top floor, and I loved it because it was a comfortable and comfortable room with good sunlight. It is the best route to travel to the old town, and there are delicious coffee shops, convenience stores and coin laundry nearby, so you can stay comfortably.
However, it is on the 5th floor of the Korean style, but there is no elevator, so you have to do a little lower body movement, and it seems that people who are sensitive to noise because of the sound of the train will not be very good."

"Overall, it’s a good clean place to stay for 1–2 nights. Despite its central location, the area is quite peaceful. If you book a room on the 3rd floor, you might hear some noise from the room right in front of yours. I appreciated the coffee machine with capsules — a nice touch.
However, there were a few downsides: the two single duvets were quite small, and I felt cold; a larger, warmer duvet would be preferable. The mansard room isn’t ideal for tall people, and the shower tended to clog quickly. Also, the showerhead holder was placed too high. Lastly, the carpeted floor made it difficult to drag a heavy suitcase around."

"The hotel is decent for its price. However, it's quite a distance from Krakow's Old Town. The breakfast is excellent, considering the price. Overall, we're satisfied, but it would be good if they could fix the issue with the room doors. They close abruptly and make a lot of noise, constantly interrupting our rest. Additionally, a smart TV would be preferable. Finally, we requested a wake-up call service for two days, and it wasn't provided either time. As a result, we missed a pre-paid excursion one day. Interestingly, they did call us for check-out later. It would be beneficial if these points were taken into consideration to improve the quality of service."

LLesley and NigelSuper place to stay I highly recommend this hotel. Stepped off the 300 bus from Krakow city - 10 minutes walk to the airport or there is a shuttle bus. Great room with everything you could need and tastefully decorated and designed - they give you a glass carafe and there is a water dispensing machine on each floor so that you can help yourself . Super modern and comfortable with a perfect shower room with underfloor heating. Great bar area which is also used for the Massive buffet breakfast which was superb. Just perfect

SSiraI absolutely loved my stay at Stradom House, Autograph Collection. From the moment you enter the lobby and bar, the stunning interior decor sets the tone, and the room itself was spacious, artfully designed, and luxurious yet comfortable, with elegant furniture and a beautiful bathroom—easily a 10/10. My room was located in a separate building accessed through an underground tunnel, which at first seemed quirky but turned out to be utterly charming, as the tunnel itself is beautifully decorated and enchanting to walk through. Breakfast was a highlight, with delicious hot dishes made to order from the à la carte menu complemented by an abundant buffet, all enjoyed in a gorgeous breakfast room overlooking a peaceful garden—a truly fantastic way to start the day. The location is another strong advantage, within an easy walk of the Market Square, Wawel Castle, and the lively Kazimierz district. Overall, this hotel delivers comfort, style, and unforgettable experiences—I highly recommend it.

In terms of positives, the rooms are pretty good. The pool/ sauna are good. I've been to hotels with pools more like paddling pools, but this one you could actually swim lengths in. It was busy around the evening (5-8), but dead in the morning which meant I could have a nice relaxing swim. Reception were nice and helpful. Breakfast was decent enough, though a bit expensive in my opinion. The big downside for a visitor to Krakow is the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Around 20 minutes in a taxi to the centre. There's a bus stop outside the hotel, but the only buses which stop there don't go to the centre meaning a connection is needed. Nearest small supermarket around a 7/8 minute walk and there's a big shopping mall 15 minutes by foot. I stayed for work so was happy enough. First time visitors to the city would be better off getting something closer/ better connected to the centre.

The only thing that was not entirely clear to me is how the security deposit will be refunded. I would like to know how the refund process works and how long it usually takes to receive the amount that was requested upon arrival.

A night without a good sleep
On March 29, there was a quarrel in the next room 202 all night.
As soon as I entered the room, my next door neighbor started.
Originally, the two drunk people were happily chatting and singing in the room, but then a few more people came in and started shouting loudly, which lasted for about two hours before they left. midnight……
1:15 someone came in
At 4:50, a man came in, started taking a shower, and began talking.
The strange thing is that I don’t get drunk.
The room is not soundproofed and I can hear it very clearly.

AalbertltThe location was the best, right next to main station, big shopping mall, and tram stops. The room was modern ( it is either very well maintained or recently renovated ). The breakfast was great. It even provide juicer machine where you can make fresh juice by yourself (choices are: apple, carrot, beetroot). Something that I rarely see even in five stars hotel. The most amazing is the hospitality of the staff. We received welcome wawel chocolate during check in and polish pretzel during check out. Special thanks to the receptionist, Ola for passionately explaining the major tourist attractions in the city ( seriously, you have the talent to become a tour leader ;-) ). Also not to forget special thanks to Anita for recommending local polish restaurant and offered welcome chocolate. Both are amazing staff and I can feel their sincerity when serving guest, so make sure you treat them well Mercure, they are your assets :)

GGuest UserI really liked the Columbus Hotel. It's just a few minutes' walk from Grzegorzki train station, which is the next stop after the main station Rynek, coming from the airport. I was in a twin room with a balcony, bathtub, fridge, complimentary water, toiletries. Lovely, bright and clean, comfy beds and nice bedding. Breakfast was delicious. The scrambled egg and little sausages were so tasty. The cakes were lovely with coffee afterwards. Also cereal, meats, cheese, fruit, yoghurt and breads and juices. Lovely and quiet, never heard a sound from other guests in their rooms. A real calm and relaxed vibe. There's also an outdoor seating area and a shop across the road. The tram stops are just to the side and are so easy and frequent. Ticket machines are at the stop, or you can pay on board. Don't forget to validate your ticket. Great base for exploring the Jewish quarter and ghetto, Schindler Factory Museum and don't miss the Plaszow guided tour, a highlight so far. Tram 3 and 24 takes you there from outside hotel and coats 4 zlotys. They are in the process of building a museum there, so it's going to be much busier in the future. Go now while its not as well known. I would definitely return to Columbus hotel, an excellent choice, enjoy!
