"Love the hot spring facilities offered by the hotel, especially when you get to enjoy a private hot spring and pool in the villa! And regardless of where your villa is located, there’s buggy service available 24/7. Yoga among nature was also amazing. A really nice place to relax within nature.
HOWEVER, as a luxury resort, I was disappointed with the check-in service. Firstly, there wasn’t a clear indication of where the reception/lobby was, so our driver ended dropping us at the carpark. Once we were within the lobby area, it took a while for the staff to actually welcome us. Unlike the check-in service we saw another family receiving later in the day when they were dropped off at the main lobby, we immediately felt the difference. Btw, the resort should really consider lighting the direction into the lobby at night. Most of our private hire drivers have pointed poor signage/lighting to the lobby.
Next, the jungle walk group was too large with only one guide. We could barely hear what the guide was saying at the back, so yes it was merely a walk for us."

"THe location is fine, a bunch of local restaurants are next to it, as well as convenient stores.
The other side , there is a huge shopping mall, which is a good place for shopping / food.
Not far away from Train station as well as the city centre. What you need is the APP Grab , and 15mins.
Breakfast was included in our booking, and the food was fine; there were more varieties on Sunday than Monday.
The swimming pool is pretty good. If you go there by 7:30, you can enjoy the stunning sun rise view.
Overall, highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in Ipoh for few days."

"Spent one night at this hotel for a business trip, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was for the price.
The parking area is spacious and free, with valet parking available from RM30 per night. The hotel has a modern design and is equipped with a Face ID-like entry system, which adds a nice touch of technology. All the room switches are touchscreen as well.
The bed and pillows were very comfortable, making it easy to get a good night’s sleep. I also really loved the bathroom design, especially the electronically operated toilet seat very much like the ones you’d find in Japan.
They also provide complimentary snacks and carbonated drinks, which was a nice bonus.
Overall, definitely one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at for its price. Great comfort, modern facilities, and plenty of thoughtful touches. Would definitely consider staying here again."

"The hotel isn't too far or too close to the train station; you can see it. But if it's a hot day and you're carrying luggage, just grab a taxi – it's only a few bucks.
The two young gentlemen in the ground floor lobby provided excellent service. They always proactively opened the door for us and were very polite.
The guy who checked me in was also great; he let me get my room half an hour early.
The lobby on the 18th floor has a very comfortable atmosphere.
The room was also very good.
There's a 7-Eleven downstairs.
During the day, it's very close to 'San Na Street' (likely a local reference, perhaps a specific shopping area or street name); just be careful crossing the road.
All the shops close very early and are often shut.
There's absolutely nothing around at night.
I didn't even know where to go to get a taxi!
Better just go to bed early."

"Hotel is located near a small lake. Location is good if you have a car as surroundings is quiet with good scenary. It is actually an apartment with 3 bedrooms. We booked 1 bedroom unit 2 other bedrooms and the guest toilet were locked. The room is big as it is equipped with a kitchen and living room. The apartment and the room facilities are somewhat aged though in general is clean. The toilet ensuited with the master bedroom is small. Breakfast varieties and taste are good."

"Had a good stay at M Boutique Hotel Ipoh! The room was clean, tidy, and smelled nice. The room size was just nice and comfortable for two people. The location is also really convenient. There’s a 99 Speedmart nearby, and Pakcik Wong Restaurant is just behind the hotel, so finding food is easy. It’s also close to AEON Mall, which makes it convenient for shopping and getting anything you need. Parking is public parking, so you’ll need to pay for the Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh parking, but other than that, everything was quite convenient. The staff were also friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, a nice and comfortable place to stay in Ipoh, especially if you’re looking for somewhere convenient and reasonably priced 👍"

YYauheniya Satsura🏡 Modest but Convenient Hotel Near the Beach
We stayed at this hotel in Pangkor, and overall, our experience was positive.
- 📍 **Location:** It's super close to the beach and the main street with cafes and shops – you really couldn't ask for a better spot.
- 🏠 **Accommodation Style:** The hotel is made up of small bungalows, each with its own entrance. Most have a little terrace with a table. It's all very simple, but clean and pleasant.
- 🛏️ **Amenities:** The bedding was clean, there was always hot water, and the air conditioners were powerful. The towels, however, are quite worn out and could use replacing.
- 🏊 **Pool:** There is a pool, but it looked a bit gloomy, so we didn't use it.
- 👥 **Staff:** The owners are polite and friendly. No deposit is required. There's a front desk, but it's not open 24/7, which is something to keep in mind if you're checking in late.
📌 **Bottom Line:** A simple yet tidy hotel with an excellent location. It's suitable for those looking for affordable accommodation by the sea without extravagant expectations. We were happy with our stay.

Seamless Process:
Check-in and check-out are incredibly easy. I really appreciated that they don't require a deposit like other hotels; you simply return your room card at the end of your stay.
Outstanding Hospitality:
Mister Bernard was so friendly, helpful, and hospitable throughout our entire stay! All the staff at Voyage Retreat are equally helpful and friendly, and it's wonderful that they are all locals.
Easy Accessibility:
Even though the pathway leading to the rooms is quite hilly, you can easily request a buggy service to get around. And for those with elders and kids, I think you can highlight to them for they to give you to a lower room.
🛏️ The Room & Comfort
Spacious & Bright:
As you can see in the pictures, the room itself gets plenty of natural lighting and features really high ceilings. Because of this, the room barely feels stuffy or hot during the afternoon and evening.
Aircond/Fan:
The air conditioning gets pretty cold, and there is also a ceiling fan provided.
High-End Bedding:
The bedsheets, pillows, and blankets are all spotless, clean, and completely odorless. The mattress is quite firm and thick, reminiscent of what you would find in a high-end hotel, and the pillows are fluffy and very comfortable to sleep on.
In-Room Amenities:
They provide a water purifier/filter machine right inside the room, which is incredibly convenient so you don't have to walk out to the receptionist or cafe area just to get water.
Privacy with a View:
The balcony and windows face directly toward the forest, giving you excellent privacy.
🚿 Bathroom & Amenities
Spotless Cleanliness:
Both the bathroom and toilet are perfectly clean with absolutely no musty smell. The provided towels are surprisingly absorbent, spotless, and fresh.
Shower Facilities:
The bathroom features both a standard shower and a water heater. The provided shower gel and shampoo smell absolutely amazing.
Other Amenities:
They provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, a shower cap, and even sanitary bags.
🍽️ Breakfast (Le Pont Cafe)
Breakfast is served at the Le Pont Cafe right in front of the lodge. The food is excellent and went way beyond our expectations, with portions that are more than generous for one person.
Menus:
Crab Curry Mee (The Winner):
Absolutely delicious! The broth is thick, flavorful, beautifully balanced, and not too spicy. It was the absolute highlight of the menu.
Nasi Lemak:
A very interesting take as it includes fish and prawns. The taste is good, similar to a standard hotel nasi lemak.
Western Options:
Both the English Breakfast and the egg mayo croissant were great as well. The croissant is flaky and fluffy.
Desserts/Kuih:
They serve fresh watermelon alongside a rotation of traditional local desserts that change daily, including seri muka, karipap, kuih ketayap, koci, and keria.
🛡️ Safety & Peace of Mind
Secure Environment:
At night, there is a guard doing rounds, so you never have to worry about safety. Honestly, the island itself feels very safe, and the property is surrounded by local houses.
Really recommended to stay here if you're looking for a private, quite, clean, comfortable, picturesque place to stay in Pangkor. The only downside is the parking space is very limited. However, everything else is perfect!

LLuv to travelOn the day I checked in, I left my things in the room and I went shopping. I did leave a Do Not Disturb sign on my door. When I came back, the minute I put down my shopping, someone tried to open my door. Looked through my peep hole and saw a middle aged woman. The key obviously did not work. She left after a while but came back with a bell boy who rang in my doorbell. I opened the door and bellboy apologised and asked if I was staying here. I said I have checked in at 3pm. Bellboy pointed at two luggages and said he sent them to the wrong room? Wait what? Whose are these? The woman said they were hers. Bell boy said he delivered them to the wrong room.
Next, front desk called me and asked for my name. Not to apologise but ask for my identity. She confirmed that there’s been a mistake in assigning rooms. I asked her what do I need to do. She said nothing. No apologies. I asked her why the bellboy entered my room even though the Do Not Disturb sign was there. No answer.
My advise to those who choose to stay here - double lock your doors and keep your valuables with you. They did not respect my DND sign and entered my room.

UUmmi TravellerWe stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Damai Laut for 3 days and 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Definitely worth every penny!
It’s a great place for a family getaway, with direct access to the beach, a mini waterpark, Kids Club, and plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained. The room was comfortable, the surroundings were peaceful, and we loved the relaxing resort atmosphere.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and made some great family memories here. The kids loved it, and so did we! Definitely a place we would love to come back to. ❤️

The apartment's biggest advantage is its excellent location. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, and shopping options within walking distance, making it very convenient for families and larger groups. The host was responsive and replied promptly when we raised issues during our stay.
Unfortunately, the cleanliness and maintenance of the property fell well below our expectations. We encountered ants throughout the apartment—including the living room, sofa, dining area, kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms—which made it difficult to enjoy our stay. Although the host provided insect spray after we reported the issue, the infestation was so widespread that spraying the entire apartment was neither practical nor a comfortable solution.
Several areas were dusty, the curtains had a noticeable layer of dust, and the bedsheets and toilet rolls appeared old. We were also charged RM60 for an extra bedsheet for two nights, but the condition of the bedding did not justify the additional fee. The sofa showed signs of wear, and one of the ceiling fans was noisy during operation.
For larger groups, please note that when someone showers upstairs, the downstairs bathroom cannot be used properly due to water pressure issues. We were informed that this affects every unit in the building, suggesting it is a known issue rather than an isolated incident.
The facilities were also disappointing. The jacuzzi was unavailable during our stay and appeared to be non-functional, making it more decorative than usable.
The host initially agreed to compensate us for the cleaning fee due to the cleanliness issues, but we did not receive any further update after that.
Overall, the apartment has great potential because of its strategic location, but significant improvements in cleanliness, pest control, maintenance, and facility upkeep are needed before I could recommend it to others.

CChe Shi MinThe stay was comfortable and chill. The hotel is newly open and clean. Parking is convenient and the gym was the best gym I have in Ipoh. The gym machine is new and well function. The jogging and cycling machines also a lot so that I don’t need to wait for others. There is jazcuzi and swimming pool as well. The garden are beautiful and nice photo session.

The hotel sits on Jalan Veerasamy, roughly 0.78 km from Ipoh Old Town, just a 6-minute walk to Memory Lane Market and only 331 metres from Ipoh Parade shopping centre, with the historic Ipoh Railway Station about 1.6 km away.
It's centrally placed and easy to navigate on foot or by Grab, making it a solid base for exploring the Old Town's murals, cafés, and street food scene.
Easy access to public transport and nearby eateries, with clean rooms, comfortable beds, and convenient parking
Secure 24-hour car park nearby, plus proximity to the pedestrian street, KFC, etc.

But i dont like the room at level 3, when they are doing construction work at 4.30am, very noisy and I can’t sleep properly. Mattress and bed, pillows very comfortable. But the most important, they cant maintain cleanliness level up to the standard. When at morning i went out for breakfast i found the rubbish front of my door. My room was at the end of the row. Maybe other guests just use my front door as their dumpster. But what shocked me most, when i went out from my room. There was house keeper there, but when i talked to him about cleaning the rubbish he just said to me wait for office instructions. Really unbelievable! No urgency to clear the rubbish and their housekeeper standard of cleanliness really bad!
