The hotel is very cost effective and personally feels good. Suitable for ”poor travel”, about 5 kilometers from Super Bay in Dawan, you can take the bus in the past (82 road, tell him where to go, look at the map, when you arrive, you have to press the bell to get off, not too language Easy), most hotels in Mao Ball are basically inconvenient to go out. If the hotel calls a taxi more than 1000 rupees, I used the bus only 24 rupees. . . These days I went to the supermarket to buy steaks (very good, all of Australia) tiger shrimps, and I made them myself (the hotel can be boiled (you need to buy the spices yourself), the restaurant that cooperates with the hotel is very difficult to eat, just past Hungry for a day, I ordered a 340 rupees fried rice, but don't eat if you eat 2). . Breakfast is a bit unexpected and can be said to be very satisfying. Nice environment, there is a swimming pool, then next to the big Mon Choisy Beach, the cleaning is not bad. . Day trips and cars are best booked online, hotels are more expensive.

Trou aux Biches
We stayed there 3 weeks in january- enjoyed every single day! Nice big room with a fantastic balkony where you can drink your mornings and afternoons coffee and see the sun going down. Choose the 3. floor- the seavew is better. Very close to the beach- just 3 min walking, everything is in a god walking distance, so you do not beed a car. Bus stop is also just close by to every direction, if you want to go for a small trip to Port Louis or another nice beach. Very kind stuff on the reception and cleaning ladys always helpfull. One of the best thing her is at you can use the facilities at the Palmiste Hotel near by, wich is oned by the same company. They have many swimmingpools and nice palmgarden. All inn all it was a perfct vacation and we recommend it to all who do not want to stay at a hotel and eat there every day and evening. We tried every day some different restaurants in the small village and were absolutely satisfied with the food and prices in Trou aux Biches. There is an Italian, Chinese, Japaneese, Indian restaurant, some other with Mauritian specialities - actually many nice places to eat, without to cook at the appartament, but you could if you want. Take your own beach towels, the beach is nice and long, the water is perfect to swim or dive- clean, warm. It was just great !!!!
Casuarina Resort and Spa

Trou aux Biches
I have read some of the reviews of the Casuarina Resort and Spa and cannot believe the uncalled for comments made by some. We are here stating at the resort with friends and we all have nothing but praise for the place!! Mauritius is a multi cultural country with Sikhs, Hindus, Tamils, Chinese, creole and French all living in perfect harmony. The Casuarina therefore caters for all these tastes and each night we have had a different theme. As the population is made up of a large percentage of Indian origin there is always a section in the restaurant catering for their taste which I totally agree with! There is always a good variety of other dishes to suit all tastes. I have an intolerance to the herb, coriander. I mentioned this to the staff and each night either the chef or someone from management would go through all the dishes with me to highlight those with/without coriander and I must say every meal time has offered something tasty and healthy. The salad/fruit area is full of healthy options including a variety of legumes - all served in a cold room to ensure their freshness. The staff we have found very helpful and ready to provide whatever we have asked for. Their smiles light up the room but are very professional in their work ensuring the restaurant area runs smoothly at all times. The bar staff are equally friendly and will take your order and bring your drinks to wherever you are sitting/sunbathing, always with courtesy. It is open from 11am to 11pm which is plenty of time to have a drink and there is a different cocktail special every day! I do think that some of the comments made about the staff are unfounded and I am a big believer in reaping what you sow. If you treat people like they are less important than yourself then you will never get the best response from them, no matter where you are!! The animation staff are superb and provided some fabulous entertainment. Yes, they speak mainly French because this is their native language but do their very best to include us Brits who rarely speak other languages when abroad. We have been included in every activity including quizzes, water events such as aqua gym and water polo. We even took part today in learning creole and were given insight to some of the history of the island by the wonderful Sabrina. Our rooms are a tiny bit tired but absolutely spotless and cleaned every day. Our cups are always clean after use (we are able to do this ourselves) and are provided with fresh water daily and tea and coffee making facilities as well as use of a fridge. I asked if there was a clothes drying rack and one was delivered the very next day. The internet works perfectly well in the rooms and all other public places. The bed linen is beautiful and clean being white cotton and the air conditioning is fabulous. We can even watch BBC world news in bed if we wish. I think people need to remember before complaining about an establishment that will have struggled terribl
