Aureum Palace Hotel & Resort Bagan
4.4/534 Reviews
The location isn't close to shops and restaurants but the view nearby is breathtaking. Riding an e-bike around by myself is one of the best travel experiences I have ever had. The room is beautiful and perfectly decorated, very friendly staff but some facilities are a bit old. The shower doesn't have hot water sometimes. Breakfast is very good but the restaurant is a bit pricy and not very tasty, not recommended.
Bagan Thiripyitsaya Sanctuary Resort

Very beautiful garden villa hotel, in the archaeological reserve in the old town, next to the Bagan Archeological Museum, not far from a few famous temples. There are two types of rooms. One is a one- or two-storey villa near the river and the reception desk. It has a terrace with a good view. It is highly recommended. One is a two-story building with two luxury standard rooms. The floor is slightly better, the cherry blossom inn is average. The room facilities are not very new and upscale, but the rooms are large, simple and textured, which is suitable for leisure vacations. The restaurant is not far from the river, and it's nice to watch the river view and sunset in the sun. Breakfast is good, Chinese food is affordable, and dinner is a bit expensive. Hotel taxis and tutu charters are relatively expensive. If you know some English or are good at bargaining, you can walk to the side of the road and stop one. From the location, environment and comprehensive cost performance, it is recommended.
New Wave Hotel

New wave hotel is close to Mandalay railway station and bus station There are restaurants nearby to exchange foreign currency and eat I especially like the bar & restaurant on the top floor of the hotel, which overlooks the Mandalay Palace not far away and Mandalay Mountain in the distance.
Popa Mountain Resort

The hotel is halfway up the mountain and the environment is beautiful. If the weather is good, you can see the temples on the opposite side of Mount Boba and the top of the mountain. It was raining on the day we went, the fog was very big, the mountain wind was also very big, and there was a terrible atmosphere. I suggest that you must choose the room type above the suite, because I personally experienced it, the ordinary room can not live, the area is small, wet, and the waiter brought the heater in early September! The bathroom is also cramped, in short, the experience is not good. The suites with mountain views are the best, and you can see the opposite of Mount Boba on your balcony.

Ritz Grand Hotel Mandalay

The hotel was used for a long business trip. The hotel has a sky bar where you can enjoy a beer while watching the sunset. There are many Chinese short-term tourists on the weekends, so the breakfast is distracting and complicated, but the friendly staff took care of me to eat without any inconvenience. The location is a little far from the city but not bad. I stayed there for the length of my business trip, staying longer than planned. Recommended hotel.
