"JR car walk to the hotel is only 10~15 minutes, so easy to find. The main entrance is facing the traffic light. It has a 300-year history, so traditional style. In the lobby, you must change indoor slippers first, and when you go out, the waiter will immediately take out the guests' shoes to replace you. The whole building has been appreciated. Value, there is an orthodox Japanese garden, there are a lot of koi fish in the pool, and you can see the maple leaves. We can enjoy the garden on the terrace of our room. The bathroom in the room has a wooden bathtub. Dinner and breakfast are eaten in the room ... Our housekeeper is very professional, Also introduced a variety of food ... and free beer, Coke is provided. There is electric heating in the central location of the room, thick quilt and heating ... But leaving this fan will be very cold ... This is the old building. At that time, the technology was not so advanced. The hot spring pool is not big, but there are two in the wind. "The hotel parking space, is outsourced to park in another place, we arrived at 3:30 pm, saw a parking space but the staff said there was someone parked, just out!
But the outsourced parking space has a time limit, not self-in, in addition to the time clock, if there is an option, the hotel's own parking lot is much more convenient!
Every time there is no parking space, but the hotel hot spring is on the 10th floor, you can see the sea view, is my most reminiscent! Guests are not crowded, very comfortable, everyone can enjoy quietly!"

"The hotel's location, environment, and front desk service were all excellent. However!
My child has a habit of sleeping with headphones on. On the first morning, after having breakfast as booked and taking the hotel's 9:00 AM shuttle bus to Higashihagi Station, we suddenly realized that the two earphones in our iPhone's charging case were missing. We then remembered that we had worn them all night and forgotten to put them away when we woke up; they were in the tatami mat. The hotel shuttle had already left, so I had to contact the hotel through the Ctrip booking platform to ”not make the bed.” At the same time, as a mother, I reassured my child, ”Don't worry, the staff will definitely put the earphones on the small table in the room when they clean it. Hotel staff all over the world do that.” In the evening, after a day of sightseeing, we returned to the room and searched everywhere, but the earphones were nowhere to be found! Communicating with the front desk staff yielded no results. Frustrated, we had to continue our stay, and thus, a pair of earphones were lost.
The previous night, the bed was made by two South Asian-looking staff and one Japanese-looking staff member. That night, I again observed two Japanese-looking staff members making the bed, carefully observing their procedures. Following this procedure, even the smallest white earphones would have been visible, yet they couldn't see them… The next morning, before leaving the room to get a refund, I took a picture of the bedding I had slept on. The same scene was clear; if any earphones were left behind, they would have been obvious, but their staff couldn't see them…
The hotel's location is excellent. If you choose to stay there, be sure to keep your belongings safe!"

Earle ERooms were clean, check in was easy, breakfast was satisfactory. The info related to parking in the reviews is incorrect. The hotel does not have its own parking and you need to use pay parking close by the hotel. There are several options at different price levels, and the hotel recommends which one to use upon check-in but be advised that the parking lots begin to fill up as the day gets later so the later you arrive, the more you pay for parking, and hopefully all does not fill up. Overall, I would go back if I the area, it was a great price / value.

While in the rooms they are very clean, but you must be careful bringing any food or drinks in the rooms or the ants will invade the room. Tattoos being accepted for the large bath would be appreciated as well, they are currently very strict on any tattoos that are easily visible.

Come here to fish and return late at night. If you sleep for one night, the overall is greater than expected. I wish the price of the third day is cheaper than the Japanese online booking. A dinner money. Just ate the nearby izakaya, the surrounding food and beverage shops were full of fireworks, the street was no one in the store but the people were moving, the breakfast the next day was simple and exquisite, and the cafe decoration was back to the Showa era. (o^^o)

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at Hagi no Yado Tomoe. Outstanding from start to finish. The location was great, and I was able to walk to the Ruri Five-Story Pagoda.
The staff were very helpful, even at night, and I was provided with a work kimono (work clothes), two towels, slippers, and other amenities, and I could even choose my own pillow, so I was very satisfied!

The room is small, only big enough to open a 24-inch suitcase.
The bed is on the hard side and the pillows are soft and collapsed. There are spare pillows available in the lobby (hard or soft), but there is a smell of cigarette smoke on the pillows near the smoking room.
The room is very clean and tidy. Guests who continue to stay can use the magnet provided on the door to inform them whether it will be tidied the next day. If not, new towels and garbage bags will be hung on the door handle.
The breakfast tastes okay, but the items are less compared to ordinary restaurants. It's okay to eat full, but you may want to consider eating wisely.
The overall stay is quite comfortable!

SuraneeMy flight arrival on the early morning, and reached the hotel around 13.45-14.00. And I wanna leave luggages at the room and hope to hurry to visit another sightseeing on afternoon. But actually the hotel ignore early check-in, so I must paid 1000 yen for nothing to do at the room. I think the hotel don’t get any good mindset to traveler and don’t have any flexible about the rule of conditions. Traveling at japan disappoints and more getting tired to understand their service mind.
